Magician Online

Chapter 187: Samir

Aldric could not help but stare up and down and from left to right.

His gaze was even more striking than outside.

With the sound of music that was not too loud but entertaining, he actually felt like he had come to a mall full of various games.

In appearance, the machines were indeed similar to the machines in the mall. Only, they were gambling machines. One needs to insert pounds directly to play them.

If they are lucky, their pounds will increase and if they are unlucky, then they will lose their pounds.

Of course, there were more unlucky ones.

Inside this casino, Aldric didn't just see the elites like he saw outside.

He also saw quite a few middle-class people working in the office. In fact, many of them were still wearing their work clothes.

They probably just came early.

Unlike the elites who had come for fun, they had actually come to seek their fortune.

Aldric saw the high excitement of those who won while those who lost looked very frustrated.

Some were even throwing tantrums so the security had to evict them.

Only, they were kicked out from the back door.

Perhaps most ordinary people who came to this casino also entered through that door, not from the front door.

To the left, Aldric saw a staircase to the upper floor that curved like a snake.

It looked long but the stairs moved automatically so people didn't have to climb it, they just had to stand on it and wait.

However, there seemed to be special requirements to go upstairs.

Not only did they have to be strictly checked to the point of handing over their cell phones, they also had to show their bank account balances.

"Lady Anna, are we going upstairs?" Aldric asked Anna as she stopped her steps.

Anna did not answer immediately.

Her eyes suddenly caught sight of a middle-aged man in a neat suit coming down the stairs hurriedly.

He looked around and his gaze stopped on Anna.

When he saw her, he smiled widely, quickening his pace as he approached her.

"Lady Anna, what brings you to my place? Do you also want to waste your money on pleasure?" the man asked excitedly.

He seemed pleased with Anna's arrival.

His greeting to her made the other guests stare at Anna in surprise and then realize who she was because of her name.

In London, only the name Anna could make the casino boss so welcoming.

Aldric observed the boss, somewhat curious because he felt he was familiar even though he had only now seen him.

Perhaps he resembled someone he knew.

After he tried to remember constantly, he finally realized that he resembled Ramsey.

Although Ramsey was an old man and he was a middle-aged man, their facial structures were so similar.

Aldric suspected he might be one of his sons.

After all, he had many children and so far he had only met his grandchildren.

"Samir, do I look like a miserable bastard? Even if I didn't need the money, I wouldn't use it for your casino," Anna replied.

She looked unhappy at being suspected of wanting to gamble.

"Hehehe..." Samir laughed casually, unperturbed by Anna's seemingly dismissive reply.

"Then what are you here for, Lady Anna?" He asked again, still in a polite tone.

"One of your customers owes me five million pounds. He hasn't paid for the used goods he took from my company. I heard he won big yesterday and I know he's coming again tonight, so I'd like to collect the money, I hope you won't stand in my way," Anna replied.

She didn't mind telling him the reason for her visit. It was probably because she didn't want to be misunderstood and also maintained politeness with this casino boss by telling him her purpose.

Of course, she was not so polite as she also asked Samir not to get in her way.

"Can you tell me who owes you money?" Samir asked as he was surprised by Anna's purpose.

He also seemed curious.

Although he didn't know all the names of the customers in this casino because there were too many of them, he still knew the names of those who liked to make trouble like owing others a lot of money.

"Jamesone," Anna replied with one name.

"Him?" Samir then looked surprised.

"Are you sure you want to collect the debt from him?" Samir asked once again.

He seemed to know the man Anna owed money to very well.

From the looks of it, he was probably an unruly man.

"Lady Anna, if you wish, I can help you. Although he's a nobody, it's rather difficult to take care of him. Every time he loses and throws a tantrum in my casino, I have to direct ten security to send him out," Samir said.

From his words, the man called Jamesone was probably physically very strong, tall and big.

It's no wonder that Anna needed someone like him because a regular bodyguard would likely fail to beat him up and leading him legally was also impossible with no agreement at all.

In today's world, a debt without an agreement is not considered a debt in the eyes of the law.

A cunning person might just ignore such a debt.

Perhaps Anna was so drunk when she sold her goods to Jamesone that she forgot to make a contract.

"No need," Anna replied.

"I just want you to be quiet while he beats him up."

She glanced at Aldric when she said the last sentence.

Samir was already aware of Aldric's presence because he had come with Anna.

However, he did not recognize him because he was not that involved in Magician Online.

While playing it, he had a lot of bad luck, even his character had died once, so he ended up focusing more on finding money for the family in the real world.

He was somewhat surprised by his striking appearance.

At first he wondered what his relationship with Anna was. In fact, he almost thought he was Anna's favorite guy whom she asked to accompany her to have fun in this casino.

However, he turned out to be someone who was asked by Anna to beat up Jamesone.

Of course, he couldn't completely doubt because he found Aldric's physique seemed so strong where his muscles, although not as big as those of body builders, but they seemed very hard.

With the experience of taking care of the security in this casino, he knew well enough which people were really strong or not.

From his point of view, Aldric was really strong.

"Okay!" He finally nodded. Your journey continues on My Virtual Library Empire

Being curious about his skills, he didn't mind Anna making a scene in this casino.

Actually, commotion was sometimes necessary to make those gamblers hot.

When their hearts were hot, they tended to be more eager to gamble even if it was caused by a gambler who was beaten up by too much debt.

Perhaps it will worry them because they also have the possibility of being beaten up for having debts. However, gamblers when feeling worried tend to be more uncontrollable, hoping that winning will solve their problems.

"However, I can't be sure if he came early or late," Samir said again.

"How about you two sit down first..."

He invited Aldric and Anna to the sofa.

Anna nodded without objection.

She walked over to the sofa, placing the small bag she was carrying on the table before sitting down.

As a big boss lady where she was also connected to a very influential elite family in the United States, she could act casually even in this biggest casino.

How could it not be, even the highest boss in this casino, Ramsey, showed a friendly attitude towards her, something that initially confused Aldric but now he fully understood.

And Aldric was forced to sit next to the woman because Samir was sitting across from him.

He signaled to the servants to get them drinks.

"By the way, he is the father of Alice whom Ramsey wants to match you with." Anna suddenly whispered quietly to Aldric.

The latter spontaneously straightened his back upon hearing that.

Surprised?

He was certainly surprised.

Although Samir's appearance was not bad, he was even above average handsome, but it was still difficult to connect a casino boss with Alice who gave the impression like she was an angel descended from heaven.

The difference between them was not in looks, but in temperament.

"They're not that close," Anna continued in a quieter voice. "That woman, Alice, stays more with her grandmother, Ramsey's wife..."

"Lady Anna, I don't think you need to talk to me about that woman," Aldric replied.

Actually he was somewhat interested after hearing Alice's story, that she was the daughter of the middle-aged man sitting in front of him, but he did not like hearing that even though he was interested.

If he was curious about her, it would be tantamount to him breaking Jenny's trust in him.

Since he decided to be loyal only to her, he would naturally avoid stories about other women.

Anna instantly smiled strangely at his words.

Even so, she didn't continue anymore.

She crossed her legs and stared at the servants who finally came with the drinks requested by Samir.

What they brought was hot tea, not alcoholic drinks like they gave to gamblers.

Perhaps Samir was honoring Anna by not bringing anything bad.
