Martial Emperor of Blue Star, Turned into a Blood Slave Girl by a Vampire Princess

vol. 1 chapter 33 - Solitary Confinement

Catherine bent down and cradled the unconscious Degrienne in her arms. The girl’s petite frame looked especially fragile nestled in her embrace.
Her silver hair clung damply to her pale little face.
The lips that were usually pressed in stubborn defiance now hung open, soft and powerless.

Behind Catherine, the tentacles no longer lashed about in madness. They drooped limply, subdued.
A few of them even curled around Degrienne’s ankles, brushing lightly against her skin, almost as if they were trying to confirm something.
“That’s more like it,” Catherine murmured, lips curling into a faint smile. Her fingertips traced the blood-streaked curve of Degrienne’s cheek.

She looked so good like this—quiet, submissive. If only she could be trained to stay this obedient forever… just a pliant little plaything, always ready to be posed.
But as her eyes drifted lower, and landed on the ragged punctures the tentacles had left in Degrienne’s flesh, her expression soured.
“I warned you not to come near this place.”

She pinched Degrienne’s chin and gave it a sharp shake. “Look at the mess you’re in. You brought this on yourself.”
The surface of the blood pool reflected Catherine’s current form—
Pale skin veined with dark crimson markings. Dozens of tentacles unfurling from her spine.

Catherine’s pupils contracted sharply. A violent emotion surged up in her chest.
Had it been any other bloodkin who saw her like this, she would’ve torn them to shreds on the spot.
But this foolish little thing in her arms…

The tentacles tightened abruptly. Degrienne whimpered faintly in her sleep, body twitching in pain.
Catherine stared at that tiny, suffering expression. Murderous intent clashed in her eyes with something murkier—deeper.
Finally, she let out a sharp breath and bit into her own lip.

“Lucky little brat.”
She leaned down and pressed her lips against Degrienne’s, feeding her blood infused with Prince-level regenerative power.
Degrienne instinctively swallowed, and bit by bit, the color returned to her pale cheeks.
The deepest wounds began to knit closed, pink new flesh blooming beneath the blood.

What startled Catherine most was when the little thing suddenly wrapped her arms around her neck, clinging greedily like a newborn craving milk—nursing at her lips with unconscious hunger.
“Tch. You really know how to take advantage,” Catherine narrowed her eyes—but didn’t pull away.
A few tentacles slithered up and coiled around Degrienne’s waist, tracing ambiguous red marks across her delicate skin.

When the girl in her arms shivered from the surge of power, Catherine clamped her hand wickedly around that slim waist. “Seems like you still need a bit more discipline.”
Degrienne whimpered in her sleep and curled in on herself—but her instincts only made her cling tighter to Catherine’s neck.
The unconscious act delighted the vampire princess. She chuckled low in her throat and deepened the bloody kiss, not pulling away until every wound on Degrienne’s body had completely closed.

Only then did the tentacles, reluctant and slow, release their prey and retreat into Catherine’s back.
“Next time you dare to sneak a peek…”
She licked away the blood still clinging to Degrienne’s lips, her sharp fangs brushing over them with threatening affection. “I’ll lock you in this pool forever.”

But before she could finish her taunt, her body lurched.
She grabbed her chest sharply, delicate fingers digging into her own skin.
A familiar stabbing pain radiated from her heart—damn it, that old wound was flaring again.

Ever since the Holy War a thousand years ago, when a human Hero pierced her heart, this wound had never fully healed.
Whenever it acted up, the only thing that could soothe the pain was soaking in this pool of virgin blood.
She looked down at the unconscious girl in her arms. Degrienne’s wounds were already healed.

Too much blood given… That’s what caused this flare-up.
Tentacles burst from her back again, twisting wildly as she lost control. The blood pool churned and bubbled around them.
Gritting her teeth, Catherine pulled Degrienne tightly against her chest and sank into the heart of the pool.

The warm blood of virgins enveloped them, soothing the agony that clawed at her heart.
Degrienne felt a sudden warmth through the haze of unconsciousness.
She instinctively nuzzled closer to the source, her cheek pressing against something soft.

Still dazed, she even reached out and gave it a squeeze—
Smack!
A sharp flick to her forehead jolted her fully awake.

Her eyes flew open—right into Catherine’s blood-red, scowling gaze. And her hand…
Her hand was on Catherine’s bare breast.
“I-I’m sorry!!”

Degrienne blurted, flustered. It was pure instinct—his instinct, back when he was still Chu Zhao.
But then she paused.
Wait… I’m a girl now too, right? So touching her like this shouldn’t be… that bad?

“Seems you’ve recovered well,” Catherine sneered, tightening her arm like a steel clamp.
Degrienne squirmed and thrashed, but she couldn’t break free.
“I save your life, and this is how you thank me?”

Before she could protest, Catherine shoved her head down into the blood.
Degrienne sputtered, choking on thick liquid, limbs flailing wildly.
Just when she thought she’d drown, she was yanked back up.

“Cough! Cough, cough! Are you fucking crazy?!”
“Wrong answer.”
Down she went again.

Three times in total. Only then did Degrienne collapse in her arms, gasping, broken, sobbing:
“I’m sorry… I really am sorry…”
At last, Catherine released her, gently lifting her chin with one cold fingertip.

“In the Forbidden Chamber—what did you see?”
Degrienne froze.
A trap. This was a trap. Any answer would kill her.

“I-I didn’t see anything!” she shook her head desperately, spraying droplets everywhere.
“Hmph.” Catherine stood up, every curve of her flawless body on full display.
Degrienne immediately slapped her hands over her eyes—then peeked through her fingers anyway.

“Keep staring, and I’ll gouge your eyes out.”
As the warning left her lips, countless bats burst from the shadows, swirling around her in a vortex.
When the swarm dispersed, her blood-stirring body was tightly wrapped in a dark crimson gown.

Degrienne exhaled in relief—but for some reason, she felt… disappointed.
The moment the thought formed, she pinched her own arm hard.
What the hell is wrong with me?! She’s driving me insane!

“Heh~”
Catherine’s soft chuckle made her look up—only to find those crimson eyes locked onto the red marks on her arm where she’d pinched herself.
A chill shot down her spine.

“My little Degrienne…”
Catherine narrowed her eyes and raised a hand. The blood around them twisted, lifting the soaked girl gently into the air before her.
With a sharp snap, bats swarmed beneath her feet, coalescing into a grand, high-backed chair.

“L-Let me go!” Degrienne thrashed, blood flinging from her silver hair in all directions—some of it even splattering on Catherine’s gown.
Catherine wrinkled her nose in disgust. “Filthy thing.”
With a flick of her finger, a shimmer of magic swept over Degrienne’s body—instantly drying her clothes into soft, warm fluff.

“What are you—ah!”
Before she could finish, Catherine shoved her down—right across her lap.
She kicked and twisted, trying to rise, but that cold hand pinned her spine like iron.

“Call me Mistress,” Catherine said, tugging sharply on her ear.
“Never!” Degrienne snapped, cheeks burning.
Catherine snorted and flipped up ✪ Nоvеlіgһt ✪ (Official version) her skirt, fingertips tapping lightly on her backside as if inspecting the damage.

Once satisfied, she let her go. Degrienne sprang upright, eyes blazing with shame.
“You perverted hag!”
“Oh?”

Catherine arched a brow, a wicked smile curling her lips.
“I was just checking whether my disobedient little kitten’s bruised ass had healed.”
She added slowly, “Seems like it’s doing fine.”

Degrienne trembled with rage—but had no comeback.
Catherine’s smile faded, red eyes growing cold.
“Now tell me—why did you enter the Forbidden Chamber?”

She tapped the armrest of her chair. “If I recall, I warned you very clearly.”
Degrienne opened her mouth—but had no answer.
Say she tried to escape? That she wanted revenge?

Either way, she was fucked.
As she fumbled, Catherine let out a long sigh, clearly bored.
With a flick of her finger, silver light flashed—and a slender chain appeared, attaching itself to the collar around Degrienne’s neck.

“If you like it here so much…”
She clipped the other end of the chain to the leg of the chair.
“Then stay forever.”

With that, she rose and walked toward the chamber door without a backward glance.
Degrienne stared helplessly as her figure disappeared through the exit.
Click.

The door shut with a soft finality.
And her heart… plunged into icy silence.
