Marvel: AS A PRINCE IN ASGARD

Chapter 63: CHAPTER 63

"Another surge in unidentified energy signatures?"

"Could it be someone teleporting in and out of this realm again?"

"It doesn't matter. This time, I'll observe from the shadows—no direct contact… for now."

Phil Coulson remained stationed near Mjolnir, still embedded in the New Mexico desert town.

With no updates from Nick Fury, Coulson kept his focus on the new arrivals—Sif and the Warriors Three—who had just descended via the Bifrost.

"The same elaborate armor?"

"Are they some kind of high-end cosplayers?"

"Or… something far stranger?"

Coulson muttered to himself, watching from afar as he documented their movements.

Elsewhere in town…

Thor enjoyed a meal with Jane Foster, Erik Selvig, and Darcy Lewis, still adjusting to his mortal existence.

However, their quiet afternoon was disrupted as Sif, Volstagg, Fandral, and Hogun arrived in a frenzy.

"I found you!"

The four Asgardians pressed eagerly against the restaurant's glass door, drawing the attention of Thor and Jane's group.

Thor immediately rushed to them, greeting them with embraces, while Jane and her friends, startled by their extravagant Asgardian attire, fumbled their cups in shock.

Darcy nudged Jane. "Tell me this guy isn't actually Thor."

Jane remained silent, her gaze fixed on Sif, the battle-hardened warrior of Asgard.

The Warriors Three quickly revealed the truth—Odin was alive and Loki had deceived Thor.

Thor's expression darkened.

But without facing the Destroyer, he hesitated, uncertain of his next course of action.

Meanwhile…

"The great ruler of the Heavenly Palace, second only to the strongest being in the known universe… and he turns out to be my brother? I must say, I'm honored."

Loki materialized before Caesar, smirking.

Ragma shook his head, returning a knowing smile.

"If my mother considers you her son, then you are my brother."

"Otherwise… you are nothing to me."

"You understand that, don't you?"

Loki's smirk faltered for a brief moment before he regained composure.

"Of course." He adjusted his stance. "Mother told me you refused Odin's offer—that you rejected the throne of Asgard."

Ragma shrugged. "Perhaps."

"Now, my dear brother, what brings you here? You didn't come just to bond, did you?"

Loki chuckled. "As it happens, Sif and the Warriors Three have committed treason. They defied the king's orders and traveled to Midgard to reunite with Thor."

"So, tell me—how should I deal with them?"

Caesar, still on Earth per Frigga's request, had no interest in meddling with Asgardian politics.

Loki knew this, which was precisely why he hesitated to send the Destroyer.

"How you handle them is your decision," Ragma replied coolly. "I have no stake in Asgard's affairs."

"However—" his tone sharpened, "Frigga must not be harmed. Heimdall must not be harmed."

"If anything happens to them, I will be furious. Do you understand me?"

Loki stiffened. A thin layer of sweat formed on his brow. "Of course. Your will shall be done."

Ragma nodded approvingly. "I have no intention of interfering in your little schemes, but I do propose a deal."

Loki's curiosity piqued.

"A trade with you? That must be quite the opportunity."

"But I trust that my dear brother would never allow me to come out on the losing end."

Caesar's smile deepened. "I assure you, the reward will exceed your expectations."

With that, the two began negotiating the details.

Meanwhile, Phil Coulson continued monitoring Thor's group—until an urgent transmission forced him to abort the mission.

S.H.I.E.L.D. was issuing an emergency withdrawal.

Only a skeleton crew would remain stationed at Mjolnir.

One of Coulson's agents voiced concern. "Sir, why are we backing off now? Those people are definitely suspicious."

Coulson, who had seen plenty of strange things in his time, exhaled. "Either something bigger is happening… or the Director has another plan."

"Let's hope it's not what I think it is."

Without further questions, Coulson and his team exited the town.

Not long after, a formation of helicopters descended upon the town, each carrying massive cargo containers.

The residents, intrigued, watched as the helicopters released their payloads onto the town's main street—right outside Jane Foster's residence.

Silence.

Then—

BOOM!

The containers burst open, unleashing something… unnatural.

A chorus of monstrous roars tore through the town.

Inside the containers were horrors born of genetic manipulation—

Several Green Goblins. Several Lizard-Men.

One Abomination. One grotesquely mutated experiment—once human, now an unstable hybrid of multiple superhuman abilities, its flesh beginning to decay.

Their gazes locked onto Thor and the Asgardians.

Then, they attacked.

"Damn it! What are these things?!"

Sif and the Warriors Three immediately raised their weapons, forming a defensive perimeter around Thor and Jane.

Thor, though stripped of his powers, still possessed the instincts of a warrior.

"Everyone, get out of here—now!" he bellowed, urging the townspeople to flee.

As the battle erupted, a group of Skrulls monitored the unfolding chaos from the safety of a stealth cloaked helicarrier, analyzing the combat data through high-tech displays.

One Skrull commander smirked.

"These test subjects better be enough to overwhelm an Asgardian strike team."

"Their power will reveal just how much potential our genetic experiments hold."

Another Skrull, monitoring Thor specifically, gave a cautionary nod.

"Remember, he is a prince of Asgard—do not kill him. We may need him as leverage."

"Agreed," the commander replied. "Capture him if possible. If not, let him live long enough for us to extract more data."

Another scientist interjected.

"This research is vital. Our work must continue."

"One day, each of our warriors will wield power to rival Captain Marvel… or even the Asgardians themselves."

The Skrull commander's eyes gleamed with ambition.

"When that day comes, the Kree Empire will tremble. The Skrulls will rise again."

"But until then, all operations remain covert."

A subordinate saluted. "Understood. The town is sealed—no one gets in or out."

The Skrulls watched as their monstrous creations clashed against Asgardian steel.

The experiment had begun.
