Chapter 158: Chapter 158: Discussion
Hela's divine power comes from Asgard. If Asgard is destroyed, she would lose her source of power. At that point, on Earth, she'd be no more than a super-enhanced version of Captain America—not a true god anymore.
This plan posed a significant threat to Hela.
With a harmless smile, Han Yu gently shook his head and said, "It's not a threat. I'm simply stating my solution. If you're unwilling to help, then this is the only option left."
Loki, standing nearby, lowered his head, clenched his fists, and bit his lip. He hadn't expected Han Yu's plan to be this extreme.
However, as much as Loki hated to admit it, the plan wasn't without merit. In fact, it seemed like a feasible solution.
Faced with the triple assault from the Vanir gods and the Frost and Fire Giants, Asgard couldn't hold out for long with just Thor and his allies. Drawing the enemy's main forces into Asgard and then detonating Asgard itself could indeed lead to victory.
But that victory would come at the cost of their homeland, making it a desperate, last-resort strategy.
To have Han Yu directly intervene and help? Loki knew that wasn't going to happen. Han Yu was a businessman, not a do-gooder.
Providing this plan was already the most help Han Yu was willing to offer. He wasn't Asgard's babysitter. If Asgard needed him for every crisis, they might as well crown him king of Asgard.
Loki's gaze locked onto Hela. If she refused to help, destroying Asgard would be the only option left.
After all, as Han Yu had pointed out, Odin had once said: "Asgard is not a place—it is its people."
Wherever the people were, there Asgard would be.
Loki had already steeled himself for mutual destruction if Hela chose not to help.
Hela stared at Han Yu, and after a long silence, she reluctantly shook her head and said, "What a clever plan. You've left me no choice but to help."
"You've agreed?!" Loki exclaimed in delight.
Hela sighed and said, "Do I really have a choice? This great strategist here has presented a plan where, if I don't help, Asgard will be destroyed. What else can I do? I'll help."
"Great! Let's set off immediately!"
Loki was thrilled. He couldn't wait to return to Asgard. He was deeply worried about Thor's current situation. Every moment they delayed could worsen Thor's predicament.
"But… how do we return to Asgard? The Vanir gods have already taken control of the Bifrost. We can't get back," Loki said with a bitter expression.
"Don't worry. There's always a way," Han Yu said with a confident smile. "Before we head back, we need to make a stop somewhere first."
"Where?" Loki asked.
Han Yu grinned. "To get your sister some equipment. Without proper gear, how is she supposed to fight those guys?"
Hela rolled her eyes but didn't object. Han Yu was right—without suitable equipment, she would struggle in battle. "My weapon used to be a hammer. Why don't you get that hammer for me?"
Hearing the word "hammer," Loki's sharp instincts immediately kicked in. He realized Hela was referring to the hammer Thor always carried. "You mean Mjolnir?"
Mjolnir—the true name of Thor's hammer. Because Thor used it so often, it had become his signature weapon, and most people simply referred to it as "Thor's Hammer."
"Yes, that's the one. What? You know about it?" Hela asked.
"I do. That hammer is currently with Thor. Odin gave it to him a long time ago," Loki replied.
"In that case, I do need a new weapon," Hela nodded, her face tinged with a trace of bitterness. "But finding a good weapon isn't that simple. Not just any weapon can withstand my divine power."
As she spoke, her gaze shifted toward Han Yu. For some reason, she felt this young man might have a solution to her problem.
Han Yu nodded with a calm smile. "Since I brought up the issue of a weapon, of course, I can solve it. Just follow me."
Turning to Mephisto, Han Yu asked, "You won't be getting involved in this, will you?"
"Me? Of course not," Mephisto chuckled slyly. "But afterward, I might drop by to see if I can pick up a few strong souls. You know me." His expression was that of a cunning old fox.
Han Yu didn't expect him to help, anyway. Shrugging, he turned toward Johnny, the Ghost Rider. "Thanks for your help this time. Asgard will remember this. After all this is over, if you ever need anything, you can always turn to Asgard."
By saying this, Han Yu was making a decision on behalf of Asgard. He knew Johnny's power potential was immense. In the future, Ghost Rider would be a formidable force, and having him as an ally would undoubtedly benefit Asgard.
Johnny shook Han Yu's hand with a smirk. "Well, it's my honor to have Asgard as an ally. If I ever get into trouble, you can bet I won't hesitate to call on you."
Loki also stepped forward to shake Johnny's hand and gave him a brief hug. "Brother, you've helped us a lot. Take care of yourself!"
"You too. Take care!" Johnny said, patting Loki on the shoulder.
Han Yu then pulled out a teleportation scroll and addressed the group. "Are we ready? If so, let's go!"
"We're ready. Where are we headed?"
"The birthplace of legendary weapons—Nidavellir," Han Yu said with a grin.
Nidavellir.
The planet inhabited by the Dwarves, the mightiest forging race in the Marvel universe.
Nidavellir was home to the heart of a star that had burned for tens of thousands of years. Surrounding it were colossal iron rings, designed to harness the star's immense heat.
A scorching beam of energy radiated from the star's core, streaming through a circular channel connected to a massive forge. This forge had been operational for millennia, tirelessly burning and churning out legendary weapons.
At the center of Nidavellir, a dwarf craftsman stood before King Eitri, reporting grimly, "My king, the Vanir gods have sent another message. They demand we forge a weapon capable of controlling the Bifrost. If we refuse, they've threatened to attack us."
King Eitri slammed the armrest of his chair in anger. "Hmph! Dwarven weapons are never given away lightly. And they want a weapon that can control the Bifrost? Absurd! Dream on!"
He continued, his voice firm. "Such a weapon would only be entrusted to the King of Asgard. No one else will ever wield it to start a war. They can forget about it!"
Despite his anger, Eitri knew their situation was precarious. While the dwarves were masters of forging divine weapons, they weren't skilled fighters. At best, they were slightly stronger than ordinary humans from Earth.
"But, my king," the dwarf craftsman hesitated, "if we don't comply, they'll destroy us. And with Asgard barely able to protect itself right now, who else can we count on?"
Eitri fell silent, lost in thought. There was only one person who might be able to resolve this—someone with a mysterious shop on Earth, whose abilities seemed unfathomable.
As Eitri contemplated, a familiar light laugh broke through his thoughts.
"Eitri, long time no see."
Startled, Eitri looked up abruptly. Not far away, a group of people had appeared out of nowhere, silent as shadows.
At their head stood none other than Han Yu!
