Chapter 168: Chapter 168: The Thunder Colossus

This strike embodied the majority of Thor's divine power. The colossal Thunder Colossus, standing seven to eight meters tall, gazed downward like a god scrutinizing mortals, its imposing stance leaving no room for resistance.

The Asgardians, upon seeing this manifestation of divine might, were overcome with exhilaration. Even those standing far from the battlefield could sense the heavenly majesty radiating from the colossus. This was the true power of a god!

On the other side, the forces of the Sea God—especially the frost giants and fire giants—were left stunned upon witnessing the Thunder Colossus.

Both groups had encountered Thor before, and in their impression, he was nothing more than a brawny fool wielding a hammer. Though troublesome, he wasn't particularly fearsome.

But now, confronted by this Thunder Colossus, a primal fear gripped their hearts. They exchanged uneasy glances, the shock in their eyes mirroring one another's.

The fire giant muttered, "Such overwhelming energy... If we were to take this head-on, we might not survive."

The frost giant clenched his fists tightly, a look of unwillingness on his face. A moment later, he sighed helplessly and said, "Thor has improved far too much. He's like a completely different person. If he had shown this kind of power earlier, he would have become the King of Asgard long ago."

"Still, we must trust in the Sea God. I don't think Thor can defeat him," the fire giant replied.

The frost giant nodded in agreement. After all, the Sea God was a king of his own domain, second only to Odin. There was no way he would lose to the God of Thunder.

Both tried to comfort themselves with these thoughts.

Not far away, the Sea God's expression turned serious. He could feel the oppressive threat emanating from the Thunder Colossus above Thor. This attack was no trivial matter.

The Sea God extended his hand toward a distant point, his five fingers curling slightly in a gesture that puzzled the onlookers.

Thor furrowed his brows upon seeing this motion. He knew it all too well—it was the same gesture he used when summoning Mjölnir.

In the next moment, an object shot through the air at incredible speed, creating a sonic boom before landing in the Sea God's hand. Everyone finally saw the item clearly.

The weapon was a trident, its design blending gold and sapphire hues. The slender shaft was predominantly blue, adorned with spiraling golden patterns that extended from top to bottom. Tiny scales, each no larger than half a fingernail, were evenly distributed along the shaft.

The trident's head featured a central blade about the length of an adult's forearm, flanked by two thinner, flatter side blades that curved slightly inward.

"That's the Sea God's Trident!" an Asgardian gasped, recognizing the weapon.

Another added, "I've heard it was forged by the former Dwarf King from a rare piece of deep-sea iron the Sea God found long ago. Its sheer weight is said to require the combined strength of ten strongmen to lift it!"

"My gods! He wields it so effortlessly. That's terrifying!" someone else exclaimed.

The Sea God casually swung the trident a few times before pointing its tip toward the ground and resting it against his back. Smiling at Thor, he said, "Forcing me to use this trident... you can consider it an honor even in defeat."

Thor's gaze remained fixed on the trident, his tension palpable. The Sea God had already proven formidable, fending off two of Thor's strikes with sheer physical strength, far exceeding his expectations. Now armed with his signature weapon, the Sea God exuded an aura of seamless unity with the trident, poised to strike with lethal precision at any moment.

"So, this is why he's worthy of being called the Sea God. His reputation is well-earned. But now that the arrow is nocked, I have no choice but to release it!"

Thor let out a thunderous roar, channeling nearly 80% of his lightning power into the colossal Thunder Colossus.

The colossus opened its massive mouth and let out a deafening roar. Ordinary warriors, just hearing its cry, felt their bodies go numb, completely paralyzed.

Thor charged at the Sea God, and above him, the Thunder Colossus gripped a massive hammer of lightning, its form solidifying in an instant. Despite its enormous size, the hammer moved with incredible speed, closing the distance to the Sea God in the blink of an eye and crashing down toward him.

The Sea God's eyes gleamed with sapphire light, and the trident in his hand erupted with a surge of overwhelming energy. In an instant, a crystalline layer formed on its surface, shimmering with power.

Surrounded by swirling blue energy visible to the naked eye, the Sea God let out a low shout and thrust the trident forward to meet Thor's hammer in a direct clash.

Trident versus hammer.

A colossal wave of energy rippled outward from the collision, tearing through the ground and nearby structures. The sheer force caused widespread destruction, but the sturdiness of the main hall far exceeded that of the outer buildings, sparing many from harm. Otherwise, half of Asgard's citizens might have been injured by the blow.

At such a scene, Han Yu would surely have commented in his typical Huaxia fashion: "Look at the mess you're protecting!"

The lightning within the Thunder Colossus surged entirely toward the Sea God, its pressure so overwhelming that even the distant fire and frost giants could clearly sense it. They both knew that if they had been the ones facing this attack, they would have been reduced to ash.

"Die!" Thor roared, channeling every ounce of lightning power in his body into the colossus.

The Thunder Colossus grew even more solid and imposing, its strikes becoming increasingly ferocious.

Boom!

A massive explosion erupted as waves of sapphire and silver energy rippled outward from the point of impact, engulfing the entirety of Asgard's sacred domain.

The shockwave sent many spectators—both Asgardians and others—flying backward. They crashed to the ground, coughing up mouthfuls of blood.

As the energy dissipated, Thor was left kneeling on the ground. His divine power was rapidly draining, leaving him utterly exhausted. His eyelids felt unbearably heavy, as though giving in to the urge to collapse would cause him to fall unconscious.

"W-Where is he?"

Thor struggled to his feet, but his legs buckled under his weight, trembling uncontrollably. His posture was awkward and unstable, yet he managed to rise. Looking ahead, he barely had time to react as a fist flew straight toward him, striking his chin with tremendous force.

Thor's massive frame—nearly two hundred pounds of solid muscle—was sent hurtling into the air. He flipped several times before crashing to the ground, leaving a crater in his wake.

"How is this possible?" Heimdall exclaimed from within the main hall, his eyes wide with disbelief.

At the center of the battlefield, where the two powerful attacks had collided, one figure still stood.

Dusting off the debris from his body, his clothes slightly tattered from the impact but otherwise unharmed, was the Sea God.
