Marvel: Copying Abilities

Chapter 11: Chapter 11: Projection of Another World

After sending Steve off, Wang Ye closed the shop door.

Although it was already late at night, he wasn't the least bit sleepy—he had finally obtained the super serum formula.

The most important thing now was to immediately start formulating and conducting human trials.

Waving his hand, Wang Ye opened a portal to headquarters and stepped through it. Like passing through a water curtain, ripples spread across the space, and the next moment, he was back in the chief's office atop the Ailunta building.

"Chief!"

Lieutenant Jon, who had been working at his desk, immediately stood up and saluted respectfully.

"Mmm, thank you for your hard work these past few days."

Wang Ye nodded and glanced at the tall stack of paperwork on the desk, thinking to himself that it was lucky Jon was here—otherwise, he'd have a headache from handling it all.

"It's not hard work. Easing the chief's burdens is my duty," Jon replied with a composed expression, revealing no emotions.

"I see all that you've done and will make sure you are well rewarded.

Now, go prepare the most advanced biological laboratory, and call in Dr. Zola—I have something to discuss with him."

Wang Ye walked to the wine cabinet, opened a bottle of red wine to let it breathe, then poured himself a glass.

"Yes, Chief!"

Jon put down the freshly signed document in his hand and quickly exited the office.

Wang Ye walked to the desk and flipped through the documents. They were mostly departmental matters and plans for personnel changes.

After skimming for a bit, he sat on the couch to wait. Then, he picked up a pen and began writing down the super serum formula and all related information from his mind onto paper.

Knock knock knock—

Dr. Zola knocked on the office door.

"Come in."

As soon as he entered, he saw Wang Ye seriously writing something at the coffee table. He carefully asked, "Chief, you wanted to see me?"

"Mhm, take a look at this document and tell me your thoughts."

Wang Ye slid the freshly written document toward Zola, then leaned back on the couch and crossed his legs, watching him.

Dr. Zola nodded, stepped forward, and started flipping through the document page by page with intense focus.

The more he read, the more grave his expression became. Eventually, he was stunned and looked at Wang Ye in shock.

"Chief, is this the super serum you mentioned before?! I can't believe they managed to develop it!"

"That's right—this is the complete formula and algorithm for the super serum. But currently, it only enhances a person's physique to four times that of a normal human. That's still too weak.

I'm giving it to you because I want you to strengthen its effects. Do you have any ideas?"

Wang Ye casually took a sip of wine, the corner of his mouth curling into a mysterious smile.

Dr. Zola wiped the cold sweat from his forehead, then carefully read the document again before responding.

"With these formulas and data, enhancing the effects won't be difficult. But the key issue is the severe side effects.

While it boosts the user's physical capabilities, it also magnifies their personality traits. That could easily lead to a complete loss of control."

"You can start by researching a single-strength version of the serum. Tackle the side effects step by step from the simplest level.

By the way, how's the progress on the spaceship?"

Dr. Zola was an all-rounder, highly skilled in many fields.

But the Red Skull had only recognized his abilities in weapons development, overlooking his other talents.

"The materials needed for constructing the spaceship are massive, and many rare metals are required, which are very difficult to collect.

This has repeatedly delayed the original two-month completion schedule.

However, most of the ship's body has been assembled. The FTL engine powered by element Wt4 has also been deployed.

It should take another two months or so to finish the assembly, complete final adjustments, and begin test flights."

Over the past few months, Dr. Zola had been pouring his heart into researching the heavy defensive weapons, energy shields, and—most importantly—the artificial gravity and propulsion systems for the spaceship.

As a result, he had been surviving on only three to four hours of sleep per day and was now sporting serious panda eyes.

"There's no rush on the spaceship project—just proceed steadily.

Your main priority from now on is the super serum project. Remember to simplify the enhancement process and minimize the pain involved. Go ahead and take the document.

Oh, and if you run into Lieutenant Jon, tell him to make me a double-strength espresso latte."

"Yes, Chief!"

Dr. Zola took the super serum document and left in a hurry.

He had already come up with a research plan on his first read of the formula. As soon as he left the office, he jogged back to his lab to begin his intense research.

Wang Ye rubbed his eyes and stood up.

Suddenly, he sensed something strange from the spatial stone's projection in his mind. Illusory and dreamlike images began to surface in his consciousness.

They were like mirages—visible, yet also out of reach.

He clutched his forehead and shakily sat down on the floor, closing his eyes to carefully sense the images.

Disjointed fragments floated into view, gradually becoming clearer.

There were towering skyscrapers that could almost touch the stars, and bustling cities full of life.

But then, the scene shifted—the lively streets were now filled with decay and ruin. Emaciated, eerie figures crowded in the corners.

On closer inspection, their pupils were unfocused. Some bore fatal wounds and rotting flesh, yet they continued to wander.

They looked like—yes—zombies. The decayed bodies and grotesque movements made it obvious they were real zombies.

Wang Ye's brows furrowed deeply as he watched these scenes play out in his mind.

"What the hell?!

Could this be a result of the layered effects of the space stone? Is it letting me see into another world?

Wait a second—that… that's Alice?!"

Just as he was wondering, he saw a projected scene featuring a stunning blonde woman in a fiery red slit dress, holding a shotgun and staring resolutely at a zombie-ridden world.

"This is Resident Evil?!

I never expected the space stone to be used this way!

If I could open a portal to that world—"

Wang Ye sat on the floor, trying to figure out what had caused this phenomenon.

After a long analysis, he came to only one conclusion: the replication ability, after being layered and enhanced, had evolved into the power to travel between worlds. However, the ability was still unstable.

Knock knock knock—

"Chief, your double latte is ready!"

Lieutenant Jon entered the room holding a steaming cup of coffee.
