On the second day after settling Daredevil, Alex Ray finally received the system upgrade.

Just as Alex was waiting eagerly, the system's voice echoed in his mind:

"Ding."

"System upgrade successful!"

"Added the latest feature — Home System!"

Hearing this news, Alex immediately felt excited and hurried to open the home page interface. However, everything on the screen confused him — the interface was completely blank, with nothing displayed.

Alex asked aloud, "What's the point of this Home feature? Why is there nothing here?"

Could this be like that certain factory's game? Where the Home used to be just a vegetable garden? he wondered silently.

The system seemed to sense his confusion and explained, "Host, you must first select a location. After the location is set, that place becomes your Home."

Alex suddenly realized he had to choose a suitable spot to designate as his Home.

Curious, he asked, "What functions does it have once it becomes my Home?"

The system continued, "This Home opens unlimited internal space. As long as the host grants permission, your family members can return to this Home anytime, no matter where they are."

Alex immediately understood — this was essentially a large, cross-dimensional lounge and storage space.

The power of this Home System struck him. Not only was it a cross-space lounge and storage room, but it also formed a vital link between family and friends.

Many possibilities raced through Alex's mind. Toby's version of Spider-Man and Harry — the second Green Goblin from that universe — could come over anytime to meet, chat, or even carry out missions together.

The scene filled Alex with excitement and anticipation.

However, he also knew the system wouldn't be without limitations.

He asked, "Are there any restrictions on this Home System?"

The system replied, "Host, please check details yourself after setting your Home location."

Alex nodded, curiosity and anticipation swelling inside him.

He then decided, "Set the first floor of the restaurant as my Home."

He couldn't think of a better place. As for the restaurant behind him potentially ceasing business after becoming his Home, Alex didn't care.

He wasn't making money from it anyway.

Besides, money was no shortage for him now.

Imagining a group of heavily armed superheroes chatting inside a restaurant, while a random customer walked in and saw a bunch of people dressed oddly, Alex thought that customer would probably run away.

Or maybe some fearless locals might assume they were just cosplaying.

The system then prompted, "Are you sure about your Home address?"

Alex answered firmly, "Yes, that's it."

In the next moment, a wave of energy radiated outward from Alex, enveloping the entire restaurant.

"Ding. Home location successfully set. Please check it yourself."

Alex suddenly remembered an important question: "Can I change my Home after setting it?"

"Yes, you can relocate by spending 10 family points," the system replied.

Instantly, Alex frowned. That was too steep — 10 family points could buy him ten consecutive draws.

Determined, he decided not to change his Home location.

Next, Alex inspected the Home interface and saw he could expand the Home's space and alter its layout and furniture.

This required friend points.

Alex muttered bitterly, "This system really wants friend points. It's forcing me to make friends."

Checking his friend points, he saw he still had over 200. After thinking it over, he decided to spend 20 points to expand the Home's space.

He clicked lightly and watched the restaurant's internal area instantly increase by 20 square meters.

Since few people were around at that time, no one noticed.

Alex looked at the extra 20 square meters appear from thin air, then stepped outside the restaurant.

There was no difference outside — it looked exactly as before.

So only the interior space expands, with no external change, Alex thought.

This meant the restaurant could now open unlimited internal space. People could play football or conduct research inside without affecting the exterior.

Not a bad trade-off. One friend point for one square meter — better than one foot, Alex mused.

The New York generally uses feet, which are smaller than square meters. If it were feet, he'd have taken a major loss.

Continuing to explore, Alex found that people from parallel universes could only stay inside the Home — they could not leave it.

Moreover, the Home's external area was fixed and could not be upgraded.

To invite family members from other universes, he'd have to rely on his exclusive skills to bring them over.

The only function Alex found truly satisfying was that authorized family members could teleport back to the Home anytime and anywhere.

That meant if any family member was attacked or raided, they could instantly be teleported back.

This guaranteed Alex wouldn't have to worry about his friends' safety.

Is that all? After absorbing the energy of the Space Stone? Is the Space Stone that weak, or is this system just lame? Alex grumbled after reading the Home introduction.

He had high hopes for the upgrade, but though the Home function was useful, it fell far short of the lottery.

Muttering, Alex clicked through other interfaces, searching for surprises.

Suddenly, his eyes lit up when he discovered a brand new skill:

[Immovable Lv1: Form a protective shield within a 1-kilometer radius of the Home.]

This shield skill was exactly what Alex needed.

With it, he wouldn't have to worry about the safety of Hell's Kitchen anymore.

"System, how do I replenish the energy of this protective shield?" Alex asked.

"Automatically restores 24 points every 100 hours, or you can absorb energy from the Space Gem to speed up recovery by twice the rate," the system replied.

After hearing this, Alex made a decision.

It seemed he couldn't return the Space Gem to Nick Fury.

Alex was a man of his word, but this time, he might have to break his promise.

After all, this protective shield was too important.

After reviewing all the upgrades, Alex planned to authorize all his family members and summon them over.

He wanted to let them experience this magical function and also take the opportunity for everyone to meet and get to know each other.

Come to think of it, Alex had never shared a meal with all his family members together.

This would be a perfect chance to make up for that and give everyone a chance to bond.

Maybe, across different universes, there could be a great exchange of materials — a cross-time and space collaboration.

"It's time for a big party," Alex said, full of expectation.
