"It's illegal to break into someone's home, Master Ancient One. Can't you just come through the front door?"

In the spacious living room, Alex Ray looked helplessly at the Ancient One, who had suddenly appeared before him. As he picked up a tea set and began preparing tea, he sighed inwardly.

"Seriously... The first time was at the restaurant entrance. Now you're just teleporting directly into my house. Do portals give you free rein to do whatever you want? What if I was doing something private and you barged in? How awkward would that be?" Alex complained in his head.

The Ancient One seemed to sense his thoughts. She smiled lightly and said, "I did inform you. You're the most sensitive person to spatial fluctuations right now. You went upstairs the moment I arrived."

Alex paused while pouring the tea, frowning in thought.

"Forget this old bald master... Don't forget, she can read minds. No—wait, I have Deadpool's skills. I should be immune to any kind of psychic probing."

The Ancient One chuckled knowingly and shook her head. "Relax, I can't read your mind. And I can't read the thoughts of many of those you've gathered here. I still have no idea how you managed to pull this all together."

Alex didn't believe a word of that. If she couldn't read minds, wasn't claiming that just a subtle way of answering his suspicion?

Still, Alex had great confidence in his system and his own abilities.

He set the tea set aside, sat across from the Ancient One, and teased, "We're just a bunch of not-so-evil bad guys keeping each other warm. Maybe the only reason they're sticking around is because I offer free food and shelter?"

He honestly didn't know if it was the system's doing or just his own charisma, but more and more people were gathering around him. It had started with just Deadpool and himself, but now he had a full house of individuals with all kinds of abilities.

Maybe it was the unique atmosphere here—one that made even killers and mutants feel safe and welcome.

Alex mused to himself, "You're too soft-hearted. If I started charging rent and food, I doubt so many would be sticking around."

He chuckled and shook his head at his own thoughts.

The Ancient One observed his expression and a rare flash of admiration crossed her face.

Despite all his claims of not being a good person, she knew Alex Ray had a kind heart and a strong sense of justice.

That was one of the reasons she'd chosen to collaborate with him.

"Perhaps this is fate. I'm getting old," she thought silently. "Maybe Strange isn't the only candidate. Maybe having him follow Alex Ray wouldn't be such a bad idea after all."

She believed this strange group of individuals could usher in a new era of their own.

"I didn't expect you to already have the Infinity Stones," she said, her voice laced with genuine surprise. "It seems you've mastered the Space Stone."

Her gaze drifted downward, as though she could see the first floor through the floorboards.

As one of the few who could sense the presence of the Infinity Stones, she had been meditating in Kamar-Taj when she suddenly felt a pulse of cosmic energy. That familiar signature led her to Hell's Kitchen.

But when she tried to open a portal directly into the restaurant, she was shocked to find herself blocked.

Such a thing had never happened to her before. Confused and intrigued, she had no choice but to open a portal to the second floor instead.

Once there, she immediately felt the overwhelming presence of spatial force surrounding the building.

The restaurant on the first floor was now wrapped in a powerful, invisible spatial shell—an independent dimension.

Ordinary people could walk in freely, but those with ill intentions couldn't even step through the door.

Not even her mastery of space magic could breach it.

Seeing this, the Ancient One mistakenly assumed Alex had already mastered the Space Stone, creating a personalized protective domain. She was stunned by the implication.

Was this the same man who had only just learned to open portals by watching her do it once?

"Is Alex Ray really a genius? Mastering the Space Stone in less than a month…?" she thought, astounded.

She herself had taken decades to fully command the Time Stone.

Could it be that the person before her was more suited to become the next Sorcerer Supreme than Stephen Strange?

"So... you came here because of the Space Stone?" Alex asked, breaking the silence. He had already guessed her purpose.

"I'm just borrowing it. I'll return it in two days."

In truth, he hadn't mastered the Space Stone at all—he wasn't even interested in its power. Everything she saw was thanks to the system.

The Ancient One shook her head. "That's only part of it. Recently, because of your actions, the timeline of this universe has fluctuated. You know exactly what I mean. I'm here to remind you—stronger enemies are coming."

"You and the group downstairs aren't enough on your own, so don't wipe them all out."

Alex immediately understood—she was referring to his recent disruptions involving S.H.I.E.L.D., and how he sabotaged Tony Stark's involvement with the Avengers.

She was basically telling him to go easy on S.H.I.E.L.D. and the Avengers.

But Alex didn't agree.

He looked her straight in the eye and said coldly, "If no one offends me, I don't make trouble."

"But if someone does offend me, I retaliate."

"Master Ancient One, you know I don't go looking for fights. I only want to protect my family and Hell's Kitchen."

The Ancient One remained silent for a moment. She knew he was right—he didn't seek trouble. Trouble came to him.

"Just... try not to let the bloodshed get out of control," she said quietly. "I don't have much time left. The future will depend on the next Sorcerer Supreme."

She hesitated, then added, "Why not you? You're more qualified than Strange."

Alex immediately waved her off. "You know me. I just want to stay in Hell's Kitchen. How about you relocate the New York Sanctum here instead, Master Ancient One? I can keep an eye on it for you."

He wasn't interested in being the Sorcerer Supreme, but the Sanctum itself? That was another story. The place had thousands of years of legacy and magical artifacts, many of which he coveted.

Of course, he knew it was wishful thinking.

The New York Sanctum had stood in the same place for centuries. There was no way it was moving just because he asked.
