Chapter 27: Collecting the Third Raikage’s Corpse
-----
-----
The battlefield between Kumogakure and Iwagakure.
A steel-clad figure soared through the sky.
On the ground, three figures walked leisurely.
It was Ron, Tsunade, and Shizune.
Ron led the way, with Tsunade trailing half a step behind, her head slightly lowered.
She ignored the corpses scattered around, but every so often, she stole a glance at Ron,
fear evident in her eyes.
Yes, Ron had cured her hemophobia.
But now, it had been replaced by Ron-phobia.
In her most vulnerable moments, Ron had relentlessly pushed her to her limits, breaking
her completely.
In the end, he hadn't gone on a full rampage.
Jiraiya was still alive.
He had stopped just in time.
Though Jiraiya lost an arm—one that could never be reattached.
If Ron had been a second slower, Jiraiya would have been sliced in half.
Hiruzen Sarutobi also lost an arm, and there was no fixing that either.
After stopping, Ron saw the situation and decided to even things out by having his steel-clad armor
slice off Danzo Shimura's arm as well.
Fairness above all.
He didn't bother with Orochimaru.
Even if he cut off Orochimaru's arm, that guy would just regenerate by slithering out of his own mouth like a snake shedding its skin—disgusting.
Ron didn't want to see that, so he spared Orochimaru.
Finally, he controlled his wooden golem to flatten the Hokage's office into rubble before
turning away.
He hadn't expected that the moment he left the village, Tsunade would follow him.
And, naturally, Shizune chased after her.
So, what started as one person became three.
"Ron… Lord Ron, why did you become like this?"
Shizune looked at Ron with a complicated expression.
He wasn't like this before.
How did he change so suddenly?
Ron chuckled. "I became like this?"
"Then tell me, what should I be like?"
"Cheerful, charming, with a hint of perviness."
Shizune recalled the first time she met Ron.
"Flirty, but kind-hearted."
"And generous. You even treated us to a meal the first time we met."
Ron turned his head, grinning at them. "What? Am I not cheerful and charming now?"
Tsunade shuddered, pressing her legs together instinctively.
She had developed an allergy to Ron's smile.
Every time he smiled, her Ron-phobia worsened.
Her mind would flash back to the moment he stood atop the wooden golem.
Though she no longer went weak at the knees, she still had the overwhelming urge to run far, far
away—out of Ron's sight.
Yet, for some reason, even though Ron hadn't forbidden her from leaving, every time she thought
about walking away, she would stop herself.
A voice inside her whispered:
I don't want to leave.
I don't want to be away from Ron.
Only by staying with him can I be happy.
But in her mind, she told herself:
I can't leave!
If I leave, Ron's misunderstanding of Konoha will deepen.
It's all because of me.
I have to atone for my sins.
Every time she thought this, she would strengthen her resolve to stay by Ron's side.
Shizune shivered at Ron's grin. "Not cheerful… scary."
"Hm?" Ron squinted at her. "So, would you rather I flirt with you?"
Shizune immediately took two steps back, crossing her arms protectively over her chest.
But when she looked at Ron again, he had already turned away, walking far ahead.
She scrunched her nose in frustration.
'Ugh, Lord Ron is so annoying~!'
'But… he doesn't seem all that different from before. Still mischievous as ever…'
With that thought, her mood lightened considerably.
She jogged after him.
"Lord Ron, where are we going now?"
Ron didn't even turn his head. "To collect the Third Raikage's corpse."
"Huh?"
Ron remained silent along the way, sorting through what he had gained from Senju Hashirama and
Senju Tobirama.
Hashirama had given him the Sage Body and Wood Release.
The Sage Body originated from Asura.
Thanks to being born with it, Hashirama could freely enter Sage Mode.
It had nothing to do with making a contract with the Shikkotsu Forest, as Ron had previously
speculated.
However, Ron wasn't strong enough to use it yet.
Once he reached Kage level, with a combat power of over 500 points, he would be able to enter
Sage Mode.
At that point, he could unleash Sage Art: Wood Release: True Several Thousand Hands and barely
participate in Super Kage-level battles.
Super Kage-level power was ten times that of an ordinary Kage.
Or rather, the numerical value was ten times.
Ron realized that the higher his power level, the harder it became to increase even by a single point.
But each increase in power had an exponentially greater impact.
So, while the numbers suggested just a tenfold difference, the actual combat strength was hundreds
or even thousands of times greater.
Just like how, in the Fourth Great Ninja War, Uchiha Madara soloed the entire shinobi alliance, turning a 1vAll battle into his personal stage.
In the Marvel world, only Hulk would be able to stand against him.
Even Thor from the Battle of New York wouldn't be enough.
While Hashirama had given Ron raw power, Tobirama had provided him with countless techniques
and strategies.
As expected of the Forbidden Jutsu Master.
His memories contained an overwhelming number of forbidden jutsu.
And an extensive record of human experimentation.
Compared to Tobirama, even Orochimaru was just a rookie.
Especially when it came to studying the Uchiha's Sharingan—Tobirama understood it better than
the Uchihas themselves.
Dark Path Jutsu.
Flying Thunder God Slash.
And many more.
Right now, if Ron encountered an Uchiha, he could instantly kill them.
Once he obtained the Third Raikage's corpse, he would be nearly unmatched in both ninjutsu
and taijutsu.
At that point, there would be very few in the entire ninja world who could rival him.
As for the elite jonin that his wooden golem had casually crushed?
They had only increased his combat power by a mere 80 points.
And their memories?
Mostly useless.
Just training and carrying out Hiruzen Sarutobi and Danzo Shimura's shady missions.
Ron skimmed through them before tossing them aside.
