Before Arthur could make out the meaning behind the emotion in Lily's eyes, she had already turned, her ponytail swaying as she walked back to her room to rest.

"What was that about?"

He scratched his head in confusion, feeling a little dazed.

After finishing all the food that was left in the kitchen, Arthur suddenly realized, "Would Lily make this much if she was just cooking for herself?

Considering her usual appetite, he looked at the huge pot of lamb soup and bread in front of him.

A thought suddenly struck him.

"Could she have known that I was back? When I came back in my battle robes, she wouldn't have..."

Blinking in realization, he scratched his head again, but didn't think much of it upon reflection.

"If she knows, she knows - so what?

Would she admire him even more?

Or... would she distance herself?

"Why didn't she ask me?"

The thought nagged at Arthur, and he decided to clear things up.

But as he stood in front of her door with his hand raised to knock, he found himself unable to follow through.

"This... is harder than I thought..."

Arthur was confused. Why was it so difficult?

"Yes, yes, it must be because it's late and I don't want to disturb her sleep! That's it."

Nodding as if to convince himself, he went back to the kitchen, washed all the dishes, and then returned to his room to sleep. The previous exhaustion had taken its toll, and he drifted off again shortly after lying down.

When he woke up, it was already the next morning.

Hearing the sound of Lily tidying up outside, Arthur opened his eyes, determined to ask her if she had discovered anything.

But as he helped her carry her luggage downstairs and load it into a taxi, the question never left his lips.

As the taxi drove away, Arthur stood there, perplexed.

"Why... is this so hard? Why can't I just say it?"

Just then his phone buzzed. Checking the screen, he saw a message from Lily:

"Big Pighead, take care of yourself!"

"Who's the pighead here?"

Arthur looked at his reflection in the glass, rubbed his face, and chuckled before replying with a simple "Got it.

He suddenly realized that it didn't really matter if she knew or not.

If she knew, fine. If she didn't, that was fine too.

If Lily chose to remain silent, then they could keep that unspoken understanding between them.

---

For three full days, Arthur rested and finally recovered.

The last attempt at interstellar teleportation had drained him far more than expected.

By spending the days in constant meditation and practicing Tai Chi to realign his body, he was able to restore himself to peak condition.

It was a lesson learned.

"Technically speaking, the teleportation circle is capable of interstellar travel. But it's obviously no easy feat," Arthur muttered to himself. "Next time, if necessary, I'll just use the Tesseract for teleportation."

Glancing at the time - it was 8:30 in the morning - he went downstairs for breakfast.

Afterwards, he found a secluded spot and released "Black the Car".

Getting into the car, Arthur set the coordinates and the vehicle roared off to Stark Industries.

On the way, Arthur finally called Tony.

As the call connected, Tony's face appeared on the windshield display.

Their eyes met, and Tony's initial surprise quickly turned to his usual extravagance.

"I knew it! Old bones like yours always bounce back. So, I hear you went to Asgard for some gourmet treats? Did you bring us any local delicacies?"

"Of course..."

Arthur remembered the barrels of mead Thor had entrusted him with. He was about to give a confident reply when the memory of using them during the "matchmaking" ordeal resurfaced.

His expression stiffened and he said instead, "Of course not!"

"Fair enough, forgetfulness happens," Tony teased nonchalantly. "Where are you now? Should I send someone to pick you up?"

"I'm on my way to Stark Industries. I'll be there in about half an hour," Arthur replied.

"Perfect."

Tony grabbed a sleek piece of tech that looked like something straight out of a sci-fi movie, input a few commands, and said, "I've added an access level to your phone. When you arrive, just scan it and come straight to my office."

"Got it."

After hanging up, Arthur thought for a moment and said, "Black, compose a message: 'I'm back. Meet me tonight at the usual place.'' Send it to Natasha."

"Understood!"

Black sent the message immediately. Natasha didn't answer, but Arthur didn't care.

In less than 30 minutes, he arrived at the base of Stark Tower.

Looking up, he saw that all traces of the recent battle had been completely erased. It was as if it had never happened.

The bustling crowds in the streets only added to the surreal feeling, making it seem as if the Battle of New York had been nothing more than a dream.

"I must admit, SHIELD's efficiency in this regard is truly remarkable."

---

Back at the office, Tony had already prepared some of his finest wine.

Not only was Tony there, but so was Banner, and Arthur was pleasantly surprised to see Pepper after so long.

"It's been a while."

After giving Pepper a quick hug, Arthur joked, "So, when's the wedding?"

"Before you gossip about me, maybe you should think about your own situation," Tony quipped, sauntering over with his usual flair. He had one arm around Pepper and handed Arthur a bottle of wine with the other.

Arthur took it and immediately downed a gulp.

Seeing this, Tony sighed and went with Pepper to get another bottle.

When he returned to the couch, Arthur was already deep in conversation with Banner - discussing the nuclear missile, Asgard and everything else they were curious about.

Arthur didn't hold back and shared everything that needed to be said.

Eventually, Pepper excused herself for another engagement, leaving just the three of them in the room.

After exchanging a few looks, Tony broke the silence first.

"Is Asgard a threat?"

"Asgard can be a valuable ally. They pose no threat," Arthur explained. "However, the All-Father..."

"The All-Father?"

Hearing this, both Banner and Tony straightened up, their expressions serious.

The title alone suggested that Odin was the most formidable figure in all of Asgard.

Arthur confirmed their suspicions. "The All-Father has been a bit... distracted lately. He's been busy arranging matchmaking events instead of focusing on serious matters."

Tony and Banner were taken aback, and both nearly spat out their drinks.

Banner rubbed his face, sensing that if this kept up, a certain green guy might show up to join the chaos. He patted Arthur on the back.

"Seeing you're okay is all I need. I'm going downstairs to cool off a bit."

"Alright, tomorrow night we'll continue with our plans," Arthur said as Banner left.
