While Odin dealt with Loki's punishment and the troubling news from Heimdall, an ancient, cold darkness began to spread across the realms.

In the depths of a forgotten corner of the cosmos, the Ether, a manifestation of the Reality Gem, one of the Infinity Gems and a primordial force of darkness, awoke.

Not far from its prison, the last remnants of the Dark Elves, led by the ruthless Malekith, felt its call.

For eons they had waited in darkness, reduced to a mere fraction of their former power. Now the Aether's signal was the signal for their revenge, the promise of returning the universe to primordial darkness. Malekith, with a scar of hatred etched on his face, stood before the other elves.

"The Aether has awakened," his hoarse voice echoed through the ruins of their ship. "The convergence is coming. The primordial darkness will return, and Asgard will fall. It is time to reclaim what is ours."

HYDRA Secret Base

Far away on Earth, while Goku enjoyed his unusual McDonald's feast, plans for a conspiracy were set in motion.

In the cold depths of a secret HYDRA facility, General Strucker watched with interest the recent reports on Subject Black.

"Subject Black is an enigma," said a scientist, pointing to holographic projections of Goku and the trail of dark energy emitted by his ki.

"His power is exponential and seems to draw energy from an unknown source. The Ancestral One has already contacted him."

Strucker smiled contemptuously. "The 'Supreme Sorceress' will stand in our way, as always. But this time, we have an advantage. This Goku Black is not a wizard, and his nature is... volatile. He could be the ultimate weapon if we can control him."

He turned toward the cryogenic cell that was slowly opening, revealing the silhouette of a man with a metal arm. "It's time to wake up our most valuable asset."

"General, do you want us to send the Winter Soldier for a single target?" asked another agent cautiously.

"It's not a 'single target,' Agent," Strucker corrected, his eyes shining with calculated ambition.

"It's an unprecedented opportunity. Energy like this cannot be ignored. I want the Winter Soldier to locate him, assess his strength, and, if possible, bring him back. If he cannot be brought back, I want all possible data on his combat. We need to understand that mark and how it relates to his strength. Prepare the containment team. The Winter Soldier has a new mission: Goku Black."

Elsewhere in the complex, the Winter Soldier, frowning and staring blankly, began to prepare his weaponry, unaware of the magnitude of the power he was about to face.

And his appearance would not go unnoticed. Unbeknownst to him, Goku had caused future events to unfold earlier than planned, and the butterfly effect he was causing was enormous.

Unaware of everything that was happening, Goku was simply eating, filling his stomach, but unbeknownst to him, a familiar agent was nearby watching him.

"The target is at a McDonald's, eating and just sitting there," said Black Widow.

"Understood, Natasha. Whatever happens, let me know immediately. Try not to fight; we don't know how strong he is," said Fury on the communicator.

"Understood," replied Natasha.

The Black Widow advanced toward McDonald's and thought she would go unnoticed dressed in civilian clothes. What she didn't know was that Goku could sense her presence very well. She seemed like a flame among ashes, as her vital energy was denser than the others.
