Chapter 57: (The candle shop.)
Chapter fifty seven:
As the three of us walked into the store, I took a deep breath, feeling my lungs with the sweet smell of candle wax.
"God I love the smell of candles." I said.
Teen then looked at me. "No wonder we had a box of them delivered last week." Replied Teen.
"That wasn't me." I said.
"Hey! Where do you put your jade egg's? I'm fresh out of marbles, and my pelvic floor is all over the place. Actually, you gals wanna go splities on one? Hmm? Anyone? Anyone?" Replied Agatha Harkness while looking at the women.
"Sisterhood of the traveling Kegels?" Said Agatha Harkness.
I then held back a laugh as the woman left the store.
"No? No?" Replied Agatha Harkness as she looked at the woman.
I immediately knew who she was, Jennifer Kale.
"Hi Jen!" Said Agatha Harkness a bit over excited.
"God, Agatha! I haven't seen you since I made a effort to never see you again." Replied Jen with a fake smile.
"How are you? Awful?" Said Jen even though she really didn't care.
"I'm putting together a coven. I need a potions witch. We're going to walk the witches road." Replied Agatha Harkness.
"You're serious? It's a dead end. Literally." Said Jen as her smile dropped.
"Oh, come on, Jen. I'm offering you the chance to finally lift the binding spell has kept you magic less for the last... What, century?" Replied Agatha Harkness.
Teen then walked forward. "You look amazing." Said Teen.
Jen then looked at him. "I know." Replied Jen.
Jen then looked at Agatha Harkness. "Why do you care about my magic? And why would I walk the witches road with the Scarlet Warlock?" Said Jen.
"Hi." I replied before waving at her.
"Yes, don't think that I didn't see you the moment you walked through the door." Said Jen.
"You have it wrong. I'm not the Scarlet Warlock anymore." I replied.
"Keep telling yourself that." Said Jen.
"You lost the Darkhold, and now you're powerless and exposed. How far you've fallen, witch killer." Replied Jen.
I then stood in front of Agatha Harkness. "At least she's still a witch, what are you, a store owner?" I said.
Teen then held back a laugh. "Like I care about that dusty, wary." Replied Jen.
I then titled my head. "You don't fool me, I can read minds, and I just read yours." I said.
Jen then rolled her eyes at me. "You chew off your own acrylics to get back into the club. Ugh! I'm not going to waste my breath illuminating the obvious. Have fun healing the healthy." Replied Agatha Harkness.
Agatha Harkness then began to walk towards the door. As Jen looked at Teen.
"Who's this?" Said Jen as she looked at him.
"Another child sacrifice?" Replied Jen.
Agatha Harkness then stopped in her tracks.
"My son, what in the hell are you talking about?" I said.
"Dad, it's okay." Replied Teen before he took out his phone.
"I'm really sorry about your recent legal troubles." Said Teen.
I then noticed the law suit. "Yes I'm aware." Replied Jen.
Agatha Harkness then walked over to the two of us.
"I would personally not consider superficial burns injury. But apparently some people needed skin grafts." Said Teen.
I then held back my laughter. "Oh Jen." Replied Agatha Harkness.
"I haven't been convicted of anything." Said Jen.
"Yet. Historically we as a group don't do well in courtrooms." Replied Agatha Harkness.
"The charge has a surprisingly lenient penalty, just, like, payouts and maybe, like five years in prison. But 800 counts of it?" Said Agatha Harkness.
"Starts to get a little lifely." Replied Jen.
"Wait. So you're magically bound and you're about to get literally bound." Said Agatha Harkness before holding back her laughter.
"None of this pedestrian drama would be a issue for a powered up witch." Replied Teen.
"You think I haven't tried everything to unbind, you little freaky miscreant?" Said Jen.
I then looked at her. "Talk to my son like that again and your ass will be flying out that window." I replied before my hands started to glow with red chaos magic.
Agatha Harkness then grabbed my hand to pull me away from Jen.
"You've tried everything but the witches road." Said Teen.
"If you value your freedom, join us here, tonight." Replied Agatha Harkness.
Teen then handed her the address. "Let's go mom." Said Teen before grabbing my hand.
"I will beat her ass if she speaks to you like that again." I replied.
Agatha Harkness then looked down at the table.
"Oh! I'm going to take a jade egg to go. You'll know where to find it." Said Agatha Harkness.
Once we were outside Agatha Harkness gave me the egg.
"Thank you." I replied before smiling at her.
"Two down. Two to go." Said Teen before looking at the page.
"Just one, actually." Replied Agatha Harkness.
I then looked at her. "What?" I said.
"I thought Lilia said four names." I replied before looking at the page.
Agatha Harkness then shoved the paper into her mouth.
"Come on, Teen. We are wasting daylight." Said Agatha Harkness.
"Okay." Replied Teen.
"God, I can't believe you ate the paper." I said trying not to be disgusted.
"Ate, what? Now I'm actually hungry. I could use a corn dog." Replied Agatha Harkness.
