Chapter 125: Chapter 125: Run, Run, Run

Sweat soaked the back of the robed leader. His calm attitude from earlier was completely gone...

Before, he was calm because he believed he was the lion, and Raymond was just a clueless little lamb.

Even if Raymond really had some space powers, at most, that just made him a fast-running lamb.

A lamb could never threaten a lion.

No matter how fast it runs, the best it could do was escape.

Threaten? Impossible.

But when he saw Raymond take out that transparent crystal ball sealing the miniature Dormammu, and even deliver a warning from another evil god named Thanos, his heart dropped!

He didn't know how strong this Thanos really was, or if his lord Dormammu was stronger or weaker than Thanos.

But logically speaking, since Thanos dared to send someone to hunt them down, it meant he was at least on the same level as Dormammu.

In this situation, where the enemy had more information than they did, it was clear the one sent would be stronger than them.

Otherwise, it wouldn't be a hunt—it'd be suicide.

So he had no doubt that Raymond could kill them all. That much was clear.

As for how this Raymond just so happened to be the son of that Chinese detective who had been rescued earlier—he didn't even care about that anymore.

There were too many possibilities.

He even wondered if this "Raymond" wasn't actually the real Raymond anymore—maybe something had possessed him.

Why else would there be two of the same person?

This whole thing felt strange from beginning to end!

But none of that mattered now.

What mattered was—he had to get out of here alive!

He wasn't afraid of death. He believed he'd go to Dormammu's Dark Dimension afterward and gain true eternal life.

But before that, he had to pass this information on—so Dormammu's greater plan wouldn't be ruined.

"Attack him! Kill him!!"

The robed leader made a quick decision—to sacrifice his followers and save himself!

No matter the cost, he had to buy enough time to escape and deliver the warning!

At his command, the robed followers charged at both Raymonds without hesitation!

They didn't seem to realize how serious the situation was—or maybe they just didn't care.

That was the terrifying thing about fanatics—they feared nothing, not even death!

"Leave them to me—!"

The exorcist personality clone stepped up, eager to prove himself, and charged straight at the incoming robed followers!

"Tiger Leaps from the Mountain!"

A faint tiger's roar echoed through the wind!

His hands shaped into claws, his body wrapped in a layer of green energy that looked just like a mighty tiger charging downhill!

Any black-robed figure that touched his "tiger claws" was either thrown back or sent flying—they couldn't even last a single round against him!

But the problem was, these robed men had freakishly strong defense and endurance.

Even though they were constantly being thrown back, they just rolled on the ground and stood up again like nothing had happened.

For a while, they were evenly matched with the Exorcist clone—neither side could beat the other.

During that time, a few of the robed men tried to rush over and attack Raymond.

But they were far slower than the Exorcist clone, and before they could get close, he had already thrown them back.

Not far away, seeing that even a single "Raymond" could fight those robed men to a standstill, made Gray panic.

He knew very well how tough these robed men were. Regular guns couldn't even make them flinch, but now they were being knocked away over and over by Raymond.

Even if they weren't seriously hurt, it was still terrifying to watch.

"What should we do now? Think of something!" Gray cried out, pale-faced, begging the robed leader beside him.

"It's time to sacrifice for our great Dark Lord. Remember, we must stop him no matter what. Only then can we earn true eternal life!"

The robed leader patted him on the shoulder—then suddenly turned and bolted away at incredible speed!

In the blink of an eye, he was gone!

Gray stood frozen in place, still holding the same pose, too stunned to react...

He was shocked by the robed leader's shamelessness!

What did he mean by "time to sacrifice"? Then why are you running away?

Why should he stay behind to stop Raymond?

He was just a regular guy!

But clearly, the robed leader didn't plan to give him a chance to argue. He had already disappeared.

By the time Gray snapped out of it, the man was long gone.

He turned back toward Raymond with trembling legs—only to see Raymond smiling at him with a calm, cold smile.

That smile sent chills down Gray's spine...

Meanwhile, the robed leader was running like crazy!

This was probably the fastest he had ever run in his life.

As he ran, he finally had time to pull out his phone. He scrolled to a number with a special label and quickly hit the call button and turned on speaker—

Beep, beep... beep, beep...

"Pick up, come on, pick up!"

The repeated tones had never sounded so irritating to him before!

Finally, the call was answered.

"Hm?" came a deep voice on the other end.

"Sir, it's me!"

He shouted in a panic, "Please be careful! A god named Thanos is sending people to hunt down all of us who follow Lord Dormammu!"

"What nonsense are you talking about? Are you drunk?" the voice replied, clearly annoyed.

"I'm not drunk! It's true!" he said, getting more anxious. "I don't have time to explain. They're coming after me right now—if I don't make it back, please help me—"

Boom!!

Before he could finish, the phone suddenly exploded in his hand!

In its place was a small knife, now buried deep in the center of his palm!

The phone hadn't just exploded—it had been destroyed by that flying knife!

He stumbled to a halt, groaning from the pain but forcing himself to stay on his feet.

Then he noticed someone standing on a tree branch not far away.

It was "Raymond", staring at him with a blank expression.

As that Raymond jumped down and slowly walked toward him, the robed leader finally noticed...

This Raymond's eyes were blood red—

And right in the center of each red pupil were three strange ring-like symbols, arranged in a circle.
