Chapter 125: Marvel 125
"Was it really that easy?" This was the thought running through everyone's mind as they watched Matt lounging around while his summons wreaked havoc on the ant monsters swarming Jeju Island.
Even when some ants tried to escape, the golden barriers summoned by Matt trapped them effortlessly. It was as if the situation had reversed—just a few years ago, humans were prey, fighting a desperate war against the monstrous ants. Now, the ants were the ones helplessly cornered, with no way out.
In a quiet living room in Seoul, an elderly woman sat clutching a cup of tea, her hands trembling as she stared at the television. "Oh my," she gasped, her voice filled with a mixture of awe and relief. Her eyes watered as she turned to her husband, who sat beside her, his hand resting gently on her back. "Minsoo, you finally get the justice you deserve." Her husband nodded silently, his gaze fixed on the screen, gratitude evident in his tear-lined eyes. For them, this wasn't just a battle—it was a long-awaited revenge for the loved ones they had lost during the ant invasion years ago.
In New York City, a group of young adults gathered around a large screen in Times Square, cheering wildly. "This guy's a legend!" one of them shouted, throwing his arms up as footage of Matt's Void Wyvern obliterated an entire swarm of ants with a single blast. Another chimed in, "Did you see that titan smash those ants? That's some superhero-level stuff right there!" The crowd erupted in applause as the camera panned to Matt lounging on his chair, completely unbothered by the chaos around him.
In Tokyo, a news broadcast played the live footage, with the anchors struggling to contain their amazement. "This is unprecedented," one anchor said, shaking her head in disbelief. "A single man commanding such powerful creatures—it's like something out of a fantasy novel." Her co-host nodded, adding, "Jeju Island was once considered lost to the monsters, but now... it's almost as if the tables have completely turned."
At a nearby bar, patrons raised their glasses in celebration, toasting to Matt's overwhelming power. "Finally, someone who can kill these fucking monsters! About time!" one man said, clinking his glass against another.
Meanwhile, in a classroom in Beijing, a teacher paused the lesson as the students crowded around a laptop to watch the live stream. "How is this even possible?" one student whispered, eyes wide as they watched Thrynn, the Iron Titan, crush a group of elite ants with a single swing of its massive club. The teacher, equally captivated, muttered under her breath, "it seems another World rank powerhouse is going to appear in West".
In an underground bunker in a war-torn region of the world, a group of soldiers huddled around a single, flickering screen. For them, the battle was a beacon of hope. "If this guy can take back Jeju Island, maybe there's hope for us too," one soldier said, his voice heavy with emotion. His comrade nodded, gripping his weapon tightly. "It's not just about the island anymore. This is humanity fighting back."
Back in Matt's command post, the cameraman, still following Vargan's lead, couldn't help but whisper into the microphone, "The entire world is watching this... and honestly? It's terrifying and awe-inspiring at the same time."
And truly, as Matt's summons continued their relentless onslaught, the world held its breath. Whether they watched in awe, fear, or hope, one thing was certain—this wasn't just a battle for Jeju Island. This was a demonstration of power that the world would never forget.
Half an hour later, the raid was complete. No matter what monster came, they were all smashed and defeated by Matt's summons.
Even in America, Thomas Andre, the world-renowned World rank hunter, sat in his lounge watching the broadcast on a massive screen. He leaned back with a sigh of relief and muttered to himself, "It was a good decision not to engage him there."
Standing nearby, his secretary, Laura, glanced at him and asked calmly, "What do you think?"
With her usual composed demeanor, Laura added, "He can arguably be considered the best among the world's rankers, even now."
Thomas nodded in agreement, his expression thoughtful. "Yes, he's that powerful," he said, turning off the television, his mind racing with the implications of Matt's overwhelming strength.
Meanwhile, on Jeju Island, Matt stretched lazily as one of his summons approached. The massive creature dragged two ant monsters behind it—one was unconscious, and the other struggled futilely against its restraints. Matt sat up with mild interest, raising an eyebrow at the spectacle.
"Looks like there's still some fight left in this one," Matt said with a smirk as he examined the struggling ant.
"Hmm, the big one is the Ant Queen, but what about this one?" Matt asked, his gaze shifting to the struggling ant.
Alrahzar, the Death Demon, stepped forward, his deep voice resonating. "Master, this one holds great potential," he said, his red eyes gleaming with curiosity.
Matt stroked his chin thoughtfully, intrigued by Alrahzar's words. "Great potential, huh?" With a small shrug, he placed a hand on each of the ants. The air around him crackled with power as he activated Beast Evolution, his unique ability to transform and enhance creatures.
The reaction was immediate. The ants were enveloped in a swirling black cocoon of energy, sand and dirt from the ground rising and dancing around them like a whirlwind. The camera captured the eerie scene as the cocoon pulsed with ominous energy. Slowly, the dark aura began to solidify and then crack, like an eggshell breaking apart.
When the cocoon shattered, two figures emerged—humanoid in appearance but still unmistakably ant-like. The first was a towering male, his muscular frame covered in sleek, black carapace that shimmered under the sun. His eyes glowed an intense crimson, and sharp mandibles framed his face.
The second figure was a lithe female, her movements graceful yet deadly. Her body was covered in a darker, almost obsidian exoskeleton with intricate patterns that resembled a queen's crown etched into her carapace. Her eyes glowed an eerie violet, exuding an aura of regal dominance.
The cameraman, still recording, gasped audibly. "Are those... humanoid ants?"
The two humanoid ants knelt before Matt, their powerful presence undeniable. "Master," they said in unison, their voices surprisingly human yet laced with a buzzing undertone.
