Chapter 2: Chapter 2 The Fatman
His legs were partially exposed, as the pants only covered three-quarters of them.
He began walking and soon arrived on what seemed to have been a dirt road.
Glancing around there was nothing much going on so he picked a direction and began walking.
For what seemed like an hour later David finaly found a village.
It was a village with modern amenities but an old-fashioned charm, reminiscent of historic French villages
People bustled about, going about their daily routines without much stress containing a rather calming charm to it.
A very peaceful village, is what David concluded.
Stepping into the Village from the gates David walked around for a while before his ears picked up a woman's muffled shout of pain and desperation coming from a house located deep into a few alleys.
Moving through a few dark alleys, David arrived infront of a door.
It became obvious that the muffled screaming came from behind the door.
At this time a plan was fully formed in David's mind.
He grabbed the long sleeve of the shirt he had on and ripped them off and tied it on his face.
Forming a makeshift mask, enough to hide his identity from being exposed.
David's body tightened at this time as he raised his leg up and delivered a powerful kick to the wooden door infront of him.
His leg breaking a hole open in door which caused his leg to go through it.
The sound coming from within at this time also stopped and what sounded to be heavy footsteps began approaching the door.
David pulled his leg back and kicked again creating an even bigger hole, enough for him to be able to rip the upper part of the door and step through.
"Who the hell are you!" A shout came from the fat man who was staring at David with flames in his eyes.
David did not give the second man a second glance as he delivered a punch onto the man's face, Knocking him out on the spot.
His body dropping on the ground with a muffled Thump.
David stepped over the unconcious man and he arrived at the room where the woman's screams were coming from.
Grabbing onto the door handle, David heard the muffled whimpering of the women inside.
As he opened the door, he saw a cold scene.
A women hands and legs chained to the gray and cold walls with multiple restraining tools, ropes and liquids on a metallic table.
The women seemed weak as if she had been here awhile.
Her almost empty eyes looking warily at David whose smiling eyes betrayed his true emotions.
In David mind this was enough justification for what was about to happen to that unconscious man.
That would be enough for him to finaly unlock the Template Function and begin his journey, Seven decades later.
"Dont worry, that man won't bother you ever again" David said.
He began walking close to the women and when he got close enough he gripped onto the locks on her hand and began snapping them one by one fully freeing her.
"Go" David said as he stepped back and the door was wide open infront of her for her to escape.
She with fear still in her eyes stood up and began to leave the room, occasionally glancing warily back at David as if he was tricking her.
She didn't say anything but her eyes betrayed the scars she had suffered in this room and that was enough.
David stood inside the room for a while until he heard her step out of the house and begin quickly running away.
Barefoot, pebbles occasionaly pricking her foot but she didn't stop as she began making a beeline away from the alleys with an unexpected amount of energy considering her seemingly starved state.
When she was gone, David stepped out of the room and looked at the fat man on the floor who had a few more bruises on his body compared to when he was knocked out, David smiled.
He walked into the man house collecting large screws and set it aside as he began to removing the man's upper clothes.
David got some of the ropes from inside the room and began preparing.
Nailing large screws David found lying around onto an open wall, David secured the fat man onto the wall and began thinking about how he should go about this.
Blood poured onto the ground but that completely failed in bringing any sense of bother to David.
The smell was something he had become accustomed to in the 7 years he was tested on like a lab rat, rather he was happy it was not the smell of his blood.
At this time the sound of multiple footsteps entered the alley, something that reached David's ears and it became clear that they were police heading towards him.
Wiping away his fingerprints, David raided the fat man's closet for some new clothes as his current one were splattered with blood stains.
Although they were slightly baggy, David had no choice as the footsteps were approaching his location quickly.
His old clothes in hand David rushed out of the apartment and leaped onto the roof of the house infront and quickly made some distance.
The voice of the policemen who soon found the body were but mixed with shocked and grossness at the sight they were witnessing.
Soon, David was far enough that he couldn't even hear the voices of the police.
Right now he was at another alleyway burning his clothes with a lighter he had taken from the man's house including his ridiculous makeshift mask.
Soon after David found himself a nice little inn to get some real food in his body after so long.
All of this being paid out of the pockets of that fatman.
David read the news to confirm whether he was still within the Marvel Universe and it turned out that he was still there.
He still didn't know what happened to him after "Dying", how did he remain in France, how did he end up in that pod and why the goverment did nothing.
"Was my body just left to rot where I died?" David questioned himself and felt that it was unlikely.
His body was still a weapon that could studied, seeing as he was the only superhuman accessible to the government at that time.
David wondered if he had been sent to another world.
But turns out he wasn't.
He would be relieved, but David felt that anybody who would relieved of being in any Marvel Universe was pretty much crazy.
If it was up to David, he would have preferred to be in a slice of life type story, but he didn't have much of a choice in the matter.
He knew that he may or may never get these answers but at this point it didn't really bother him too much, he wasn't really jumping at the idea of finding out these answers and risk reveling himself to be alive and stronger than before.
Not until he gets a template.
