In a spacious room, Sarah recounted her recovered memories of a past life, thanks to the treatment of a spiritual therapist, while Ethan sat by her side. She spoke of the giant python Buraki and the ancient story surrounding it.

Opposite them sat a solemn Nick Fury, Alex, and two subordinates who had been convinced to join their cause.

Time passed, and 500 years later, Buraki awakened once more, seeking the Dragon Pearl. And now they've found me—the reincarnation of the chief's daughter. They're coming to kill me…"

After finishing her tale, Sarah lowered her head and began to cry.

Alex muttered under his breath, "Typical Korean mythology—tragedy, romance... it has it all."

Ethan patted Sarah's shoulder to comfort her while nervously glancing at Nick and the others. "Buraki is terrifying. The only way to deal with him is to summon the Imoogi, but doing so would mean Sarah's disappearance. You're not seriously considering..."

Buraki wanted the Dragon Pearl to become a true dragon. To achieve this, he needed Sarah, the reincarnated vessel. The simplest solution to defeat Buraki was to kill Sarah. Without her, Buraki would lose his chance to ascend and would have to wait another 500 years. By then, humanity's technological advancements would surely be enough to defeat him.

But this plan required Sarah's sacrifice.

Hearing Ethan's words, Sarah immediately stopped crying, her tearful eyes fixed on Nick. "You want to kill me?"

Nick's expressionless face twitched into a stiff smile. "Ma'am, we are national security personnel. Protecting the safety of every citizen is our duty. We wouldn't sacrifice anyone so casually."

"Buraki…"

"If we intended to deal with him by sacrificing you, wouldn't it be faster to just take you out back and shoot you?" Subordinate No. 1 chimed in.

"Exactly! We're here to take down that oversized beast, not to kill innocent people!" Subordinate No. 2 added enthusiastically.

Alex shot the two a glare. "Stealing my thunder, huh? I'll deal with you later."

"But why?" Ethan pressed, his skepticism evident despite his cautious tone. "If killing Sarah solves the crisis, why insist on a head-on confrontation with Buraki? With our current technology, we're no match for him, let alone his formidable army…"

"Are you suggesting we kill Sarah?" Nick retorted.

"No, of course not," Ethan stammered. "I'm just curious. After all, the gap between us and them is enormous…"

Nick nodded in understanding. "I believe every generation has its responsibilities. Pushing our problems onto future generations is irresponsible. Since Buraki has reappeared in our time, it's up to us to deal with him."

Alex chuckled. "And you underestimate humanity. If Buraki and his Atrox army show themselves, we'll wipe them out completely!"

Ethan glanced at Alex, skeptical but wisely kept his doubts to himself. He didn't want to risk scaring Nick and Alex into reconsidering Sarah's fate.

Alex ignored Ethan's distrustful gaze, finding no need to justify himself to someone he considered insignificant.

"Of course," Sarah replied. She thought for a moment before elaborating, "The Atrox army consists mostly of brutal, monstrous creatures. There are massive beasts with overwhelming strength but slow movement, swift and agile dragon riders, impenetrable iron-clad warriors, and flying serpents capable of freely navigating the skies. Their numbers are vast. Combined with Buraki, they could easily destroy a small country in a short amount of time!"

Everyone present sucked in a breath of cold air. Even Nick's stoic expression faltered, and Alex, despite his usual bravado, was visibly shaken.

No matter how skilled Alex was, the sheer size and strength of the Atrox army, coupled with an unknown Buraki, posed a threat capable of catastrophic destruction. The prospect of Los Angeles being wiped off the map was not far-fetched.

"Can't we contact other superheroes?" Subordinate No. 1 asked hesitantly.

"It's not possible," Nick replied, shaking his head. "Many superheroes have chosen to hide their identities. We can't reach them quickly enough. Additionally, there are organizations working to sabotage our actions, ensuring we face as many obstacles as possible. We'll have to rely on the military."

After further discussion, they decided the only viable strategy was to lure Buraki and his forces to an uninhabited valley outside Los Angeles for the final confrontation.

Ethan protested vehemently, but Alex and Nick ignored him, focused on perfecting their plan.

The team's resolve was clear—Sarah's safety would be prioritized, and Buraki's reign of terror would end with this generation.
