Marvel: Supreme Wizard

Chapter 31: Chapter 31: Helpless Harry

Noah and the others had an unusually fulfilling and happy life, but the Chosen One, Harry, wasn't having it so good.

To be honest, he felt like he was really unlucky. First, he got reported for the duel, then he ran into a troll. While the troll itself wasn't a problem, that incident showed him just how terrifyingly talented an outstanding young wizard could be.

He had overheard professors sighing about how brilliant Noah Finniel was—even though he came from a Muggle background, just like Harry. According to them, Noah's current level of magic was comparable to a fifth-year student, and the only reason he wasn't in that class already was his lack of magical experience.

Harry had barely been at Hogwarts for a few months, while Noah was already close to reaching the fifth-year level despite being a first-year!

That massive gap between them made Harry lose the motivation to do a lot of things, even after he helped Gryffindor defeat Slytherin in Quidditch.

Speaking of Quidditch, Harry couldn't help but remember the time his broomstick had been jinxed.

Although he didn't know who had saved him, he couldn't forget the experience. No one wanted to go through something that dangerous a second time!

Later, Harry overheard someone mention that Professor Snape had been in the stands during the match, muttering under his breath.

Almost instinctively, Harry believed that Snape was responsible for jinxing his broom!

This reminded him of the night the troll appeared—when Snape's leg had been injured.

As a Gryffindor, Harry and Ron had once wandered into the forbidden corridor on the third floor after taking a wrong turn on the moving staircases.

To avoid Filch, they had accidentally stumbled into the room where the three-headed dog was being kept!

So, Harry knew exactly what Dumbledore meant by the "forbidden area," and he even suspected that Snape's injury had something to do with the three-headed dog!

As for why Snape would be involved? Well, thanks to Hagrid—who was completely unreliable when it came to keeping secrets—Harry had learned more than he probably should have.

Maybe Hagrid had let things slip on purpose.

---

Harry had pieced together a lot of theories, so he planned to investigate further.

But unfortunately, because of Ron's behavior, Hermione had practically stopped hanging out with them. Aside from classes and meals, she now spent most of her time with the brilliant students of Ravenclaw.

This annoyed Ron to no end. He often grumbled, "She looks more like a Ravenclaw. Maybe she should've been sorted there instead."

Harry, on the other hand, just found the situation frustrating.

Without Hermione's help, he was forced to dig up information all by himself, bit by bit.

But his research hit a dead end when he reached the name Nicholas Flamel—which left Harry completely stuck. Hagrid, his usual source of information, refused to say anything more.

"What should I do?"

Harry slumped over his books, feeling completely drained.

For the past few days, he had practically lived in the library, but he still hadn't made any progress.

He suddenly missed Hermione a lot—because back when she was around, he had never felt this lost. Hermione just knew things.

Now, even after all his effort, he had learned nothing. The frustration and helplessness were unbearable.

After hesitating for a long time, Harry made up his mind.

He stood up, grabbed his books, and got ready to leave. Ron, who was sitting with him, was startled and immediately followed.

"Where are you going, Harry?" Ron asked in a low voice.

"To find Hermione. I need her help," Harry replied without looking back.

He knew Ron might hesitate because Hermione had distanced herself from them because of him.

Sure enough, Ron looked uneasy and conflicted.

After a long pause, he finally muttered, "I'll come with you."

"Alright," Harry nodded, but added, "Of course, if you're uncomfortable, you don't have to."

"It's fine. Let's go."

Hearing Ron's confirmation, Harry didn't hesitate. It was lunchtime, and since Gryffindor had a flying lesson that morning, their classes had ended early. Hermione had disappeared right after class, but Harry guessed she must have gone to the Great Hall to eat with the Ravenclaws.

Sure enough, when Harry reached the Great Hall and approached the Ravenclaw table, he spotted Hermione sitting with Noah and his group.

Without hesitation, he walked straight toward them, suddenly wondering if he could get Noah and the others to help, too.

---

"Hmm? Harry? Why are you here? Oh, and Ron?"

Noah, who was in the middle of eating, looked up and seemed a little surprised. Why are these two here?

"Hey, Noah. I came to see Hermione. I..."

Harry suddenly felt awkward—after all, this was the Ravenclaw table, and they were Gryffindors.

"Just say it. If it's about homework, don't bother," Hermione said flatly.

"Oi! Don't forget, you're a Gryffin—"

"Shut up, Ron."

Harry cut him off before he could make things worse.

If Ron annoyed Hermione again, they wouldn't stand a chance at getting her help.

"It's like this, Hermione—we need your help with something."

Hermione's expression didn't soften, but she still asked, "What kind of help? And by the way, Noah and the others are here too. If I can't help, maybe they can."

"It's about Nicholas Flamel. Do you know anything about him?"

"Nicholas Flamel? The famous alchemist?"

Kenn, who was sipping his tea, answered casually. Clearly, this wasn't a difficult topic for them. In fact, any Ravenclaw worth their salt would know about Flamel.

"You know him?" Harry asked, surprised.

For the first time in days, he felt like he was finally getting somewhere.

"Of course we do," Lance scoffed. "I doubt there's a single Ravenclaw who doesn't."

"Then, can you tell me about him? It's really important!" Harry asked eagerly.

But instead of answering, Lance leaned back and smirked.

"Before we tell you anything, shouldn't you tell us why you're looking for information on him?"

Harry hesitated before replying, "No, it's a secret."
