Chapter 34: Chapter 34: Sixth Year Like This

In today's Potions class, Noah was in a bad mood, especially when he saw Professor Snape—his expression turned rather grim.

Yesterday, he had been completely humiliated by Professor Snape, and he swore to himself that he would never let that happen again!

He had always known how formidable Professor Snape was, but he hadn't expected him to be this terrifying in actual combat.

Noah had nearly reached the level of a First-Year, yet he still felt like an infant before Professor Snape's power.

Snape hadn't even used the Unforgivable Curses, yet Noah had been utterly defeated. This made him realize that, for now, it was best to stay low-key.

When Kenn and the others looked at Professor Snape, there was a newfound respect—mixed with fear—in their eyes.

Clearly, they had been just as shaken by Snape's overwhelming strength. They weren't as skilled as Noah, so they didn't dare challenge any professors for training without first understanding their own capabilities.

Instead, they turned to some of the older students.

To be fair, the senior students were quite competent. The members of the Wizarding Alliance were able to hold their own against them.

However, when they asked Noah to duel a Fifth-Year Slytherin, they were completely stunned.

The way Noah handled that Fifth-Year was almost identical to how Snape had handled Noah!

Of course, it wasn't quite as extreme. Snape hadn't even exerted much effort against Noah, while Noah had gone all out against the Fifth-Year. The results may have looked similar, but everyone understood the vast difference in power.

Because of this, Noah and his friends developed even greater respect for Snape—much to Snape's own surprise.

Not that he showed it. Even though he did feel a slight appreciation for the students studying his notes, he remained as expressionless as ever.

Today, Gryffindor had Potions with Ravenclaw, and Harry seemed to be in an even worse state than Noah.

Last night, he had encountered a terrifying and unimaginable figure—one that he was now certain was Voldemort.

The realization left him deeply unsettled. Looking back on what Noah had said before, Harry finally understood what Noah and his friends had meant.

This made him admire Noah even more, but it also left him even more conflicted. What was he supposed to do?

Noah could perfectly anticipate Voldemort's moves, but that didn't mean he wanted to face the Dark Lord himself!

Moreover, he was now convinced that Snape was trying to help Voldemort steal the Philosopher's Stone. With all this weighing on his mind, he could hardly focus on the lesson.

As a result, Gryffindor lost yet more House Points thanks to his "brilliant" performance, which only made Harry even more furious at Snape.

The moment class ended, he stormed out. It was obvious he was fuming.

"What's wrong with him?" Noah asked, packing up his things and glancing at Hermione.

Although she didn't interact much with Harry and Ron, she was still a Gryffindor and probably knew more than Noah and the other Ravenclaws.

"Who knows? It's ridiculous, really. Last night, he and Ron cost Gryffindor a hundred points, then they got detention in the Forbidden Forest. And today, he lost over ten more points! It's absolutely infuriating!"

"The Forbidden Forest?"

Noah rubbed his chin thoughtfully. That meant Harry must have definitely encountered Voldemort.

It made sense. Otherwise, why would he be acting so differently all of a sudden?

Still, Noah wasn't all that concerned. As far as he was aware, Voldemort's strength was currently at rock-bottom.

If Professor Quirrell were a powerful wizard, things might be different. But, unfortunately for Voldemort, Quirrell was hardly formidable. Noah had checked with his system—Quirrell was barely approaching a Second-Year's level.

And besides, Quirrell had a fatal weakness: Harry's magic.

Of course, this wasn't an ability Harry was born with, but rather the protective charm his mother had placed on him. Right now, in Voldemort's weakened state, he wouldn't be able to withstand the same magic that had once vanquished him—even if it wasn't as strong as before.

That was why Dumbledore was letting Harry face these challenges now—to build up his courage for the inevitable confrontation with a far stronger Voldemort in the future.

However, none of this was Noah's concern, nor did he have the energy to care.

The second half of the school year was longer than the first. It ran from early January to late May, with final exams at the end. The workload was intense.

But that wasn't a problem for Noah and the others—not even Ernie, the newest member of their group!

After joining, it had taken him just one month to master all the semester's required material—and he had learned it from a dedicated instructor!

After that, he had started studying new material and practicing magic alongside Noah and the others.

And Noah had been right about the training method. The effects weren't obvious at first, but after two months, they were shocked to discover that their magical power had actually increased significantly!

This was far faster than the usual, gradual increase in magical ability.

Any lingering doubts about Noah's method vanished. They threw themselves into training with even more enthusiasm.

After all, what wizard wouldn't want immense magical power, razor-sharp mental acuity, and unlimited knowledge?

Unfortunately, most Hogwarts students had very limited magical reserves, which forced them to focus on theoretical knowledge instead.

But now, thanks to Noah's discovery, they no longer had to worry about their magic running out!

That said, they didn't spread the method around. The training required special facilities, and that was a major obstacle for most Hogwarts students.

Not everyone was lucky enough to find the Room of Requirement—or be invited into it.

"Oh my God, I think my magical power is almost at a Third-Year's level now! This is unbelievable!" Ernie shouted excitedly after a particularly grueling training session.

"Third-Year? Not bad." Lance grinned from his seat. "I think I'm getting close to Fourth-Year myself."

"I feel like I'm somewhere between Third- and Fourth-Year, too. It's an amazing feeling." Kenn laughed. "How about you two? Evan? Hermione?"

"Same here, somewhere between Third- and Fourth-Year," Hermione said, though she didn't seem particularly excited.

"Guys, think about Noah. Professor Flitwick said that at the start of the year, aside from his magical reserves, he was already at a Fifth-Year's level in most subjects. And he's the one who discovered this training method. We should be learning from him."

"Ugh, comparing ourselves to him?" Evan groaned. Still, his curiosity was piqued. He turned to look at Noah.

Not just him—the entire group turned to Noah, eager to know his current level.

Noah noticed their stares. Scratching his head, he answered uncertainly:

"Probably... Sixth-Year? My magic's finally caught up."
