Marvel: Supreme Wizard

Chapter 36: Chapter 36: Resurrection Spell?

"Ah ha? The Dark Lord is in Hogwarts? How is that possible?"

Few people dared to believe what Harry said.

Although there had been predictions that Voldemort would return, the truth was that he hadn't made any moves, and even his loyal Death Eaters were mostly rotting away in Azkaban.

So when Harry told Noah that Voldemort had already snuck into Hogwarts, no one except Noah was inclined to believe him—even if Harry swore he'd seen him.

But the problem was, Harry was just a weak little wizard. And yet, he hadn't been killed on the spot by Voldemort?

Was he exaggerating, or just making things up?

Naturally, no one believed him, which made Harry increasingly anxious. He swore he wasn't lying or bragging, but he also understood how unbelievable it all sounded.

Just when Harry was at his most frustrated, Noah suddenly spoke up.

"You said you saw the Dark Lord? What did he look like?"

"Ah?" Harry was caught off guard for a moment. Then, after thinking for a bit, he answered seriously, "He was wearing a black robe."

"Idiot! What I'm asking is, was he in a physical form, or just a spirit? To put it simply, was he just a wisp of smoke?"

"Uh... he had a human form. But does that make a difference?"

"Of course, it makes a difference."

Noah shrugged. The difference was enormous.

Unfortunately, only Noah fully understood the implications of this question, and the others, including Kenn, looked puzzled.

"Noah, what's the difference?" Hermione was the first to ask the question everyone was wondering about.

"It's simple. I'm trying to determine his condition. By the way, Harry, have you ever been injured? I mean, has someone forcibly taken your blood?"

"I'm injured all the time, but nothing like what you're describing."

"Noah, what exactly are you getting at?"

Noah had been leading the questioning for quite a while, and Lance finally lost patience.

However, it seemed like he was beginning to piece things together. Not just him—Kenn and the others also appeared to be catching on as they looked at Noah thoughtfully.

"I don't know if any of you have ever studied a certain taboo subject: the Resurrection Spell."

"Resurrection Spell? How did you come across that?"

"Yeah, that's a terrifying spell."

Noah nodded. Even if he hadn't looked into it, he still knew about it.

The real reason he brought it up was to make Harry take the situation more seriously—and also to make his own reasoning sound more convincing.

"This spell is quite... interesting, to say the least. You need a cauldron and the body of the baby-like form Voldemort currently inhabits. Then, you must add the bone of the father, the flesh of a servant, and the blood of an enemy. Only then will the Dark Lord be fully resurrected."

"So you were questioning Harry to figure out which stage Voldemort is in?"

"Exactly. If Voldemort had already resurrected, we'd honestly be better off pretending we didn't know anything. But if Harry's account is accurate, then Voldemort is still in a spirit state, possessing someone. That means he should be easier to deal with."

As soon as Noah finished, he noticed that Kenn and the others were staring at him with inexplicable expressions.

Harry, on the other hand, looked completely dumbfounded, almost as if he'd gone into shock.

After a long pause, Kenn swallowed hard and asked, "What if he's possessing a student?"

"Then I can handle it. No matter how powerful he was before, in his current state, he can only use the strength of whoever he's possessing. Sure, he has greater spellcasting experience and intelligence, but physically, he's just a student."

"Really? You're sure you can handle it?"

"Of course. But if he possesses a professor—and a strong one at that..."

"Uh..."

As soon as Noah mentioned powerful professors, Kenn and the others couldn't help but recall Professor Snape. The memory of him utterly thrashing Noah was still fresh in their minds.

If the Dark Lord had attached himself to a professor of Snape's caliber, they'd be in serious trouble!

"I think we should stay out of this," Evan hesitated before whispering. "Let's wait for Professor Dumbledore to return and inform him."

"No! If we wait, Voldemort will definitely steal the Philosopher's Stone! You all know what the Stone can do—if he gets it, we'll be in real danger!" Harry protested anxiously.

"Why didn't you tell Professor McGonagall? She's the Deputy Headmistress."

"I did, but she didn't believe me."

"Alright, shut up!"

Noah suddenly snapped, irritated by Harry's loud outburst that was starting to attract attention.

And perhaps because Noah had made such a strong impression at school, his words actually held weight—everyone immediately fell silent.

"Let's go investigate tonight. I've thought it through. If Voldemort really did sneak in, then the person he's possessing can't be too strong. Otherwise, Dumbledore and the other professors would have noticed. He wouldn't possess a student either, since they're too weak. That means he must have chosen a professor of average strength—someone who wouldn't draw suspicion. If that's the case, we should be able to handle it if we work together."

"Not too strong, but not too weak either? There are quite a few professors that fit that description... But, Noah, are you sure we can manage?"

Ernie asked, still calm and collected.

Although the idea of Voldemort lurking around Hogwarts was terrifying, Noah's analysis had actually made the situation seem less daunting.

And he had a point—if Voldemort had taken over an average professor, they might actually stand a chance.

After all, they had seen Noah spar with Professor Lodge in the Room of Requirement. Even though he had lost, the professor had been forced to go all out. And that was a month ago—who knew how much Noah had improved since then?

Considering how much progress they themselves had made using Noah's training methods, they could only imagine how much stronger he had become.

Of course, some doubts remained.

"Don't worry. I think we'll be fine. If things go south, we can prepare some backup measures—like leaving a note for Professor McGonagall. That way, if we don't return, she'll come looking for us."

"Good idea. In that case, I think we should go and see for ourselves. When do we set off?"

"Obviously, at night. Do you want to do this in broad daylight?"
