Marvel: Tony Stark's Journey in the Omniverse

Chapter 14: Chapter 13: Meeting the Mutant Leaders

Tony, Howard, and Jarvis arrived at Charles Xavier's estate, the famous School for Gifted Youngsters. The towering mansion stood as a beacon of hope for those different from the rest of the world. As they walked up the steps, the grand wooden doors opened, revealing Charles Xavier himself.

"Good afternoon, Starks," Xavier greeted with a warm smile. "I can sense your psychic energy. I see you came because you are different. We call people like us mutants."

Tony smirked. "I'm not a mutant—yet. Just a psychic human who can not only teleport but also see a bit of the future."

Xavier's expression turned fascinated. "That is… intriguing. So, are you here for guidance? To join my school?"

Tony shook his head. "While training in the future would be appreciated, I won't be enrolling. I'm here for something else."

Before he could continue, the air shimmered as a giant metal disk hovered above the estate. Two figures stood upon it—Mystique and Magneto. The metallic master himself stepped forward with an air of superiority.

"I caught wind of the Starks visiting your school, Charles, and I wanted to give young Tony an alternative choice to your idealistic nonsense," Magneto said, his piercing eyes focused on the young Stark.

Tony crossed his arms. "Once again, not a mutant—just a psychic with a penchant for teleportation and flashes of the future. But that doesn't mean I won't awaken my X-gene eventually. Almost all humans have it in them."

Xavier's eyes flickered with curiosity, while Magneto merely smirked. "That's an interesting perspective."

Tony turned serious. "I came here today to discuss something important—changing the narrative of mutants. Starting with renaming them. Instead of 'mutants,' we should start calling them 'meta-humans.'"

Xavier frowned. "Changing the name? That won't erase the prejudice."

"It won't, but it'll change the perception," Tony countered. "People hear 'mutant' and think 'different, dangerous, mutation.' But 'meta-human'? It makes people think of superheroes, like in comic books. It's all about branding."

Howard gave Tony a side-eye. "You've really thought this through, haven't you?"

Tony nodded. "I have to. The future isn't kind to meta-humans, Professor. If you don't get proactive in politics, things will get worse. You can't be too much of a peace-loving fool."

Xavier stiffened. "And what exactly did you see?"

Tony exhaled. "Sentinels which are mutant killing robots. The mutant cure. And the deaths of over sixteen million mutants in the nation Magneto will create."

Magneto narrowed his eyes. "A mutant nation?"

Tony nodded. "Yeah. And it gets annihilated."

Magneto's hands clenched. "How?"

"Because you pushed too hard. Kidnapped politicians. Made too many enemies. Governments will respond with their ultimate weapon—the Sentinels I mentioned. And they won't stop until mutantkind is nearly wiped out."

Xavier paled. "That can't be…"

Tony's gaze sharpened. "It's the future if nothing changes."

Magneto's expression hardened like he was going to make some terrible decision before Tony interjected. "You have kids, Magneto. Don't become someone they would fear in a moment of rage—become someone they can be proud of."

Silence stretched before Magneto sighed. "I have kids?"

Tony smirked. "Yes you do Magneto and I will tell you about them later, for now we address the main point. We start a mutant nation—properly this time. The Starks have already 'acquired' an island: We call it Krakoa. We make it a safe haven for meta-humans, but we do it smartly. No unnecessary wars, no poking the bear."

Xavier and Magneto exchanged looks before Xavier finally asked, "And why are you doing this for mutants, Tony?"

Tony's smirk widened. "Because I will eventually become one. Through the power of science!"

Tony turned to Xavier. "While we're here, I need a favor. I need access to Cerebro."

Xavier arched an eyebrow. "And why is that?"

"I need to locate someone—someone important. Her name is Sage, and she's currently in a small war-torn Balkan village. She has an incredible mind, capable of processing information like a supercomputer. I need to find her."

Xavier considered for a moment before nodding. "That should be possible. With her name and rough location, Cerebro should be able to pinpoint her."

Tony nodded. "Good. After that, I want to use it to locate other bright minds—future scientists and innovators that I want to bring under me. Reed Richards, Victor Von Doom, Ivan Vanko, Bruce Banner, Henry McCoy, Otto Octavius, Curt Connors, Phineas Mason, Maya Hansen, Alyssa Moy and Susan Storm."

Xavier blinked in surprise. "That's quite a list."

Tony smirked. "I don't do small-scale."

Howard turned to Jarvis. "Once Cerebro has the data, start recording all the names and relevant information about their locations."

Jarvis inclined his head. "Of course, sir."

Howard exhaled and crossed his arms. "Once we have their locations, I'll send my teams to locate them. Their parents will be offered jobs at Stark Industries, along with their families, so they won't have to struggle or be manipulated by the wrong people."

Tony grinned. "Excellent. Now, let's fire up Cerebro."
