Chapter 26: Chapter 25: I Love it When a Plan Comes Together
Hello my dear readers and again, I hope you are having a nice day! You probably didn't expect another chapter now did you? I Fat_Immortal thought your day could use improving so I decided on this little gift for you :). Also, this chapter is short as hell so I thought I would tack it on after the last one. I struggle writing long chapters sometimes because they make me anxious. They sometimes remind me of writing papers which can lead to me having a panic attack which is no good. Therefore I usually spam you with chapters until I get 1000-2000 words in a day (1-3 chapters usually). Please note, this count does not include my paragraph long chapter rants. I am also trying to pace my chapter release over the next couple days because I have major chapter reconstruction ahead of me in the near future. I already finished like the next three-ish chapters already giving me time to do a triage of the chapters that follow. Lastly, sbbd, ASURA69s, Sabine_Bailey, and Ben_Olds are awesome for already giving me their stones since I released the last chapter. You guys are on top of it (applause)! Without further ado here is Chappy the Second!

Howard Stark had finally retired from S.H.I.E.L.D., leaving behind the world of espionage and global defense to focus on expanding Stark Industries and most importantly scientific research. With the financial windfall from their recent technological advances—particularly in military contracts—Howard and Tony executed a hostile takeover, securing full ownership of all remaining Stark Industries shares. The only remaining obstacle to total control was Obadiah Stane.
Once Howard started aggressively reclaiming company stock by any means necessary, Stane had felt danger so he had gone into hiding. However, not before leaving a trail of phone calls regarding offshore accounts, bribes, and illegal arms deals that led Howard's enhanced G-men straight to his countryside compound.
"You'd think a man like Stane would have better operational security," Tony mused as he, Howard, and their personal strike force stood outside the compound. "Honestly, it's like these villains have never read a spy novel."
Howard glanced at his son. "Are you sure about this? Once we pull the trigger, there's no going back."
Tony sighed. "Dad, Stane is an evil jackass who deserves everything that's coming"
Howard said. "Alright, let's get this over with."
The compound was heavily guarded by mercenaries, but they proved to be little more than cannon fodder. The enhanced G-men—equipped with a mix of Super Soldier Serum enhancements and bleeding-edge tech—took up sniper positions, systematically eliminating targets. Meanwhile, Violet took a more… direct approach. With supernatural grace, she moved through the battlefield like a ghost, her sword cutting through armored soldiers as if they were paper.
Within minutes, the resistance had been eradicated, Tony and Howard stepped over bodies as they entered the main building. Inside, they found Obadiah Stane pacing behind a large mahogany desk, sweat dripping from his bald head.
"Howard," Stane growled. "I've been holding you up! I built this company from nothing!"
Howard chuckled darkly. "That's rich, coming from the guy who's been selling our weapons on the black market. You didn't build this company, Obie. My genius did. And you've been profiting off it in ways I never sanctioned."
Stane sneered. "And how do you think you became so rich, Howard? Where do you think half of those 'classified' revenue streams came from?! You think the U.S. military pays that well? You think keeping it legal was enough? You're living in a fantasy!"
Before Howard could respond, a gunshot rang out.
Stane's body hit the floor, a bullet hole right between his eyes. Smoke curled from the barrel of Tony's pistol as he holstered it casually.
Howard stared at his son. "Tony—"
Tony raised a hand. "What? He was talking too much. You should know, Dad, never let a villain monologue. They usually come up with some dastardly plan once they're done." Tony said while nodding sagely.
Howard pinched the bridge of his nose before glancing down at the desk. "You might not be wrong. Look—he had a hidden switch. Probably wired to explosives."
Tony shrugged. "Guess I saved us some trouble, then."
Howard sighed. "We'll need to coordinate with S.H.I.E.L.D. to cover this up. I'll take the evidence of Stane's double-dealing to Alexander Pierce. A few preferential weapon contracts should be enough to make this all disappear."
A few days later, news reports emerged about the tragic death of industrialist Obadiah Stane. According to official sources, his private plane suffered catastrophic engine failure over the Atlantic, leaving no remains. Quietly, Stark Enterprises finalized its transformation from a publicly traded company into a privately held entity, paving the way for its next evolution.
Stark Megacorp was born. A monolith of power, influence, and technology, soon to be known as one of the most dominant entities in human history.
And Tony was just getting started.
