Chapter 31: Chapter 29: Jean and Krakoa

Hello guys I hope you are doing well today. I have been struggling due to certain reasons. I put my ADHD medicine in some freaking drawer (I think) and now I can't find it... It is really hard for me to get my chapters ready for you without it. This chapter, which I thought I had ready had half the text highlighted by me for further correction. That came as a serious shock to me. Oh well doesn't matter I managed to get it done either way just the struggle was hard guys. Enough of my problems, what is important is that you guys came through with your powerstones, I have officially over a hundred for the week. I never thought I'd get this far in my first week writing so I'd like to thank ASURA69s, Meet_Dutta, oldeus, Sarah_Bailey_8028, Kaiser_Kaier, Sabine_Bailey, and Rex_of_dreams for your stones. All these stones will reset tomorrow so I'll need your help then. Let me know if anything in the below chapter is unclear and I will try to fix it. Now enjoy the chapter!

Tony had decided it was finally time to visit Charles Xavier. He had been putting it off for too long, but after recruiting Exodus, securing Krakoa as a mutant nation was next on the agenda. But before that, there was something else he had to take care of.

Jean Grey.

Tony had been thinking about Jean ever since he first gained full control of his telepathic abilities. He knew that Charles had tampered with her mind, locking away parts of her potential to seal away the phoenix force. That alone was cause for concern, but what really struck Tony was how fresh the mental blocks seemed. This meant something important: Jean had yet to manifest the Dark Phoenix persona.

He arrived at the Xavier Institute, his presence instantly noticed by the powerful minds present. Xavier was expecting him, but he wasn't expecting what Tony planned to do.

Walking through the halls, he found Jean sitting outside in the courtyard, reading a book. As soon as she noticed him, she blinked in surprise. "Tony Stark? What are you doing here?"

Tony smiled. "Came to check on something, Jean. Mind if I… take a look at your mind?"

She hesitated, but something about his tone made her nod. "Alright… just don't do anything weird."

Tony reached out mentally, gently pressing against her psychic barriers. And just as he suspected, there were layers upon layers of Charles Xavier's mental tampering. Suppression. Restriction. Blockades that were not natural.

Tony frowned. Oh, Charles… you really shouldn't have.

With one decisive motion, he shattered the blocks in Jean's mind, allowing her full telepathic and telekinetic potential to flood forward.

Jean gasped, her eyes glowing for a moment before she clutched her head. "That… bastard," she muttered angrily, the weight of realization dawning on her. "He's been in my head tampering it!"

Charles appeared at that moment, his mental presence sweeping in like a storm. "Tony, what have you done?!"

Tony turned to face him, his expression cold. "I freed her, Charles. Something you should have done from the start."

The confrontation took place in front of Xavier's staff and students, a perfect setting for Tony to shame him properly. "You preach about freedom and equality, yet you control your own students? You were afraid of her power, so you locked it away without her consent."

Xavier's face was unreadable, but his grip on the arms of his wheelchair tightened. "I did what was necessary. Jean is—"

"—a person, not a tool," Tony interrupted. "She deserves to make her own choices. And right now, she's choosing to not trust you anymore."

Jean stood up, her eyes still filled with lingering anger. "I can't believe you did this to me, Professor."

Tony smirked. "Jean, if you want, I can offer you a place by my side. Somewhere where no one will control you again."

She hesitated only for a moment before nodding. "I'm in."

Tony turned to Charles with a grin. "See? That's called free will. Maybe try it sometime."

He then teleported Jean directly to the Stark Estate, reaching out telepathically to Maria. Hey, Mom, got a new guest for you. Jean's had a rough day. Can you look after her?

Maria's warm response came instantly. Of course, Tony. Bring her home.

With Jean secured, Tony turned his attention to another missing piece—Storm. He noticed her absence at the Institute and knew that Charles had yet to recruit her. That meant she was still on the streets of Cairo, just like in the stories.

Tony said "after this is over I'll have to go get her"

It was now time for the real mission. He met with Charles and Magneto once more, preparing for the journey to Krakoa. Krakoa was an island that feeds on mutant energy itself being a mutant wholly capable of moving across the sea's.

Charles said, "We can take the Blackbird."

Magneto added, "Or my flying disc."

Tony gave them a deadpan look. "Or, hear me out… we teleport there."

Before either could object, he grabbed them both and teleported them directly onto the island.

Krakoa reacted immediately. Vines shot up, attempting to ensnare them, while the very ground shifted aggressively. Magneto floated into the air, trying to calm it down, while Charles attempted to communicate telepathically.

Neither worked.

Tony sighed. "It's insulated against telepathic intrusion, and it doesn't speak our language. That's where I come in."

Amplifying his voice with psionic energy, Tony addressed the island. "Greetings, earth friend. It has been too long since mutants stepped on your shores—you must be starving. Charles, Magneto, channel your mutant energy into the island so it can absorb it. That should calm it down. I'd help, but I'm not a strong enough mutant yet for that."

The vines ceased their attack, and slowly, the island settled. Tony smirked. "Now, Krakoa, let's talk business. We want to establish a mutant nation here—with me in charge."

Charles and Magneto immediately protested. "A council would be more appropriate," Charles argued. "You are too young and lack the wisdom for such a role."

Tony sneered. "Finally showing your fangs, huh? If you don't like it, take it up with my knight."

Tony reached out to Exodus telepathically, who then teleported onto the island, his red-skinned form imposing. "I have come as you summoned, my liege. Shall I deal with them?"

Before Charles and Magneto could react, Exodus lifted them both into the air with a mere thought, squeezing them with telekinetic force.

Tony laughed. "Easy there, Exodus. A show of force is enough."

Exodus released them, and they coughed, glaring at Tony. "Who is this?" Xavier asked, wary due to the omega level psionic powers he was sensing.

"Bennet du Paris, aka Exodus," Tony said smugly. "A knight from the 1200s, recently freed by yours truly. He has pledged himself to my cause."

Charles forced a smile. "Well… with someone of such wisdom and strength by your side, we feel more comfortable leaving Krakoa in your hands."

Magneto nodded. "Agreed."

Tony smirked. "Knew you'd come around. Now, Charles, You'll need too relocate your forces here and bring in the Morlocks while you're at it (AN: The Morlocks are mutants who live in the sewers). We'll establish portals to Xavier's mansion and Asteroid M."

"Portals?" Magneto asked. "You have that technology?"

Tony chuckled. "Not quite. But Krakoa does."

Leading them to the island's flower grove, he explained. "There are five key flowers. The Gateway flower for portals, the Habitat flower that creates living structures, and three pharmaceutical ones that will change the world. Once they hit the market, Stark Megacorp will handle the logistics, and we will be in charge of refining the flowers and turning them into a viable product."

Charles paled. "You'll control mutantkind's lifeline, we need those to generate income for our new Island's future people."

Tony grinned. "That's the point. You don't trust me, and I don't trust you. But this way? We all live happily ever after. Kapish?"
