Marvel: Undercover in S.H.I.E.L.D., I'm So Evil

Chapter 111: Chapter 111

Odin ultimately failed to breach Kurohane's defenses. The feudal patriarch, though grinding his teeth, refused to bow his head. He merely stomped his Eternal Spear firmly, let out a cold snort, and then departed, an aura of resentment wafting behind him, filling the corridor with suppressed fury.

Thor, attracted by the commotion outside the door, saw only his father's retreating back, while Kurohane still stood outside the door, grinning victoriously, his eyes shrewd.

"Kurohane! Jane... Jane has been parasitized by the Aether Particle, and there's no way to remove it now... I truly—" Thor began, his voice filled with panic, his movements agitated.

"Alright, alright, cut out the Asgardian drama," Kurohane rolled his eyes, pushing the agitated Thor with his palm. "You just want to ask if I can remove it, right? As a wizard from Kamar-Taj, how could such a minor problem bother me?"

Three minutes later, Kurohane was toying with a glass jar in his hand. Inside, a formless crimson substance flowed back and forth, yet it could not escape the jar's confines. This jar was also one of Kurohane's special 'souvenirs' brought from the future. It was a tool used by the future Avengers to extract the Aether Particle, jointly created by Tony Stark and Rocket Raccoon in the future. The tool was reusable and without any side effects.

Of course, Kurohane didn't understand the principles behind the tool, but that didn't stop Kurohane from pretending to be a master. At least, all the doctors in the examination room, including Jane and Thor, were stunned by its efficiency!

"But, Kurohane," Thor squinted, pointing at the jar, his brow furrowed in confusion. "Although I don't know much about magic, I can tell at a glance that the jar in your hand has nothing to do with magic; it's purely a product of technology!"

"As an Asgardian, what right do you have to say such a thing?" Kurohane looked at Thor with disdain, raising an eyebrow. "Asgard's technology tree is incredibly unbalanced. Because the achievements of magical civilization cannot be abandoned, coupled with various high technologies acquired from the universe, everything they create appears right yet turns out wrong. Even their transportation tools are shaped like small wooden boats. You don't raid the British Isles like Nordic Vikings, yet you must be fully armed? Strange."

Kurohane raised the jar, letting the light reflect from it. "The end of technology is magic. In short, it's all about energy application, just with different methods of application. For example, this jar in my hand might seem like a product of technology to you, Thor, yet in Dr. Jane's eyes, it's an incredible miracle! Am I right, Dr. Jane?"

Kurohane might have been using his Telepathy ability too much, so when he spoke, he was incredibly convincing. Just like the bald man in X-Men, when he didn't use his Mutant ability, he could easily persuade the other party—except Magneto! So Jane unconsciously nodded, her eyes fixed on the jar, completely agreeing with Kurohane's point of view.

"Mr. Angel, you're right!" Jane said, her eyes gleaming with pure scientific admiration.

Kurohane didn't pay much attention to Thor and Jane, who were clearly infatuated with each other. When he extracted the Reality Stone, he also helped examine Jane's body. Jane hadn't been parasitized by the Reality Stone for long, and her bodily functions weren't severely disrupted, so aside from being a little weak, she shouldn't suffer any sequelae. Because the energy of the Infinity Stones, in a sense, is radioactive energy, Jane contracted cancer in Thor 4. The main reason was actually being parasitized by this Reality Stone. At that time, no one thought this way; it felt like being in radiation without realizing it!

As for whether Thor and Jane would end up together, Kurohane personally had doubts. It wasn't that there was no love between them, but the way they interacted... "Ah, what do I know about love," he muttered, a single dog who had been "pure" for so long.

Playing with the jar containing the Reality Stone all the way, Kurohane casually walked into the corridor and happened to meet Frigga, who was preparing a room for Jane. Just as they were about to greet each other, they both simultaneously noticed the presence of others in the corridor, but both tacitly did not expose it. They merely smiled and exchanged greetings before passing by, an unspoken secrecy.

And at this moment, behind a thick stone pillar in the corridor, Thor (the 'Fat Thor' from the future) and Rocket Raccoon dared not breathe, hiding quietly from Kurohane and Frigga's sight, their bodies curled as small as possible. They only dared to speak after both had left the corridor, a sigh of relief escaping their lungs.

Rocket's furry face was full of disbelief, his eyes wide. "The Reality Stone isn't in Jane Foster's body! It's been taken out by someone else!" Rocket clicked his tongue, shaking his head. "This is completely different from what Thor explained!"

"How much have you been drinking, you fat oaf? You can even talk nonsense like this!" Thor (Fat Thor) retorted, his voice hoarse, his eyes tearing up.

Compared to Thor, Rocket was truly tiny. He couldn't even grab the fat Thor's collar if he wanted to, so he simply climbed onto the fat Thor's body, stepped on his chest with both feet, and only then managed to grab his collar! But the fat Thor currently saw his mother (Frigga in the past), and a wave of sadness immediately surged into his heart. In his current state of self-neglect, he truly couldn't bear to see her. Moreover, from the perspective of the past timeline, today was the day of Frigga's death!

"I... I have to go to the wine cellar. There's some good old wine there. I'll just drink, once I finish one drink, I'll go and retrieve the Reality Stone..." Fat Thor stammered, tears beginning to well up in his eyes, his voice breaking. "Ah!!!"

"Ah-!"

Fat Thor turned and bumped into Frigga. Both screamed almost simultaneously. Rocket, who was originally holding Thor's collar, was also flung off, then grabbed by his clothes by a large hand, slowly lowered, and a glowing red jar was placed in his hand.

Rocket: (Eyes wide, blinking in confusion, his face filled with astonishment.) "Who am I? Where am I? Why did the Infinity Stone end up in my hand after spinning around in the air?"

A hand waved in front of Rocket, and a gentle male voice spoke. "Get out of there, get out of there." Kurohane stood there, a faint smile on his face, his eyes slightly amused.

When Rocket realized he possessed the Reality Stone, his first reaction was to immediately pull Thor and run. As long as they could return to the future timeline, this mission would be complete! After all, they were members of the Guardians of the Galaxy! As long as the job was done, the process didn't matter!

But before his hand could touch the quantum tunnel travel device, he found that his entire body was unable to move!

"Telepathy really is useful!" Kurohane thought, holding Rocket in place with the power of his mind.

"Don't be in such a hurry to leave. You can take the Reality Stone, but the focus now isn't you, but that fat Thor over there. Only Frigga can untie the knot in his heart."

"Who exactly are you?" Rocket hissed, staring at Kurohane suspiciously, his fur slightly bristling.

"Your good friend in the future whom you can talk about anything with. Star-Lord and the others don't know your origins, but I do!"

"How is that possible?!"

"The High Evolutionary, want to kill him?"

Rocket: (His body froze, his pupils dilating in shock and terror, all resistance evaporating.)

Kurohane's voice immediately sounded in Rocket's mind, ignoring the tumultuous waves within Rocket's heart. He invited him to watch the conversation between mother and son. Fat Thor's origin was seen by Frigga at a glance. He shyly used his clothes to cover the excess fat on his belly, then cried and spoke at length, like a child long separated from his mother, until Mjolnir flew into his hand, only then did he smile happily.

Everything was perfect... if only there wasn't a Thor hanging from Mjolnir, staring at the bizarre scene with a blank gaze, confusion clearly etched on his face!
