Marvel: Undercover in S.H.I.E.L.D., I'm So Evil

Chapter 143: Chapter 143

"Still want others to die?"

Thwack! Kurohane's fist slammed into Eddie.

"Is this price enough?"

Thwack! Again, Kurohane's fist landed.

"You still want to make a deal with the devil?"

Thwack! The sound of the punch echoed.

"You are already rebellious!"

Kurohane healed Eddie with Sacred Energy even as he beat him. Otherwise, with Eddie's small physique, after just two blows, Kurohane would've had to kneel and beg him not to die!

Kurohane had heard the bell ringing from the church roof, confirming that Parker had already begun his actions there. He figured it wouldn't be long before Parker, wearing the Venom Suit, would strip naked and throw himself into Deadpool's arms. When two lonely men were together, it only made sense for them to spark something! Even a spark of hatred would do, anything to make Deadpool give up quickly so they could move on to the next world!

Upholding the principle that saving a life is better than building a seven-story pagoda, Kurohane sincerely and earnestly "saved" Eddie with his "punches." When the bell stopped ringing, Kurohane also ceased his assault. His fists were smeared with blood. Almost all of Eddie's bones had been broken and then miraculously healed by Kurohane using Sacred Energy. It was like a shattered porcelain vase that had been painstakingly glued back together.

"How is it? Do you feel the love of the Holy Light? Do you still want to kill people?"

"Kill people? Kill whom?"

Ignoring the tearing agony throughout his body, Eddie immediately knelt before Kurohane, bowing his head piously. Honestly, if Eddie had simply been dragged into an alley by thugs and beaten into a cripple, he wouldn't have repented. But Kurohane hadn't stopped using Telepathy while hitting him, amplifying his pain dozens of times over. If Kurohane hadn't forcibly controlled his crucial areas, he might have lost control of his bladder and bowels with just one punch. But even without such an indignity, Eddie was now drenched as if he'd been pulled from water, all from the sweat caused by the sheer pain!

Kurohane, too, had been remarkably attentive, diligently tending to Eddie's wounds. If it weren't for the continuous throbbing pain throughout his body, Eddie would have thought it was merely a hallucination, like being drunk!

"I am now your most devout believer, as long as you don't hit me again."

Kurohane nodded. No wonder those monks practiced martial arts, when it comes to coaxing people to do good, fists and feet work wonders!

He used Telepathy repeatedly to probe Eddie's thoughts and found that he had indeed changed. He didn't hate Parker at all now, instead, he hated God and Angels!

[Saved the cursed Venom symbiote Eddie, Justice Points +100]

Hearing the system prompt, Kurohane nodded contentedly, wiped the blood from his hands on Eddie's clothes, then clapped Eddie hard on the shoulder and said, "Work hard from now on. Why bother filming that loser Spider-Man? It's more worthwhile to secretly photograph celebrity scandals. If that doesn't work, sell your blood or your hook, just don't think about killing people, understand?"

"Yes, Angel Sir!"

Eddie's eyes were filled with serenity, but only Kurohane could sense the underlying defiance in his heart. Still, Kurohane didn't care; he considered it a contribution to breaking superstitious beliefs about covers! He opened a portal outside the church, grabbed Eddie, and tossed him through. Kurohane then spread his wings and flew towards the bronze bell on the roof.

Outside, lightning flashed, thunder rolled, and heavy rain poured down, a clear sign of heavenly thunder igniting earthly fires. No wonder those Wuxia novels always spoke of events occurring on a windy and rainy night. The bell had long fallen silent, so the rooftop must have been filled with passionate... bromance...

Kurohane exclaimed in surprise, "Where are they?!"

It was one thing for Parker to be gone, but how could even Deadpool be missing? Did they really spark a flame of love and run off to a hotel?! Kurohane's first reaction was to sense Deadpool's presence, but no matter how hard he tried, he couldn't pinpoint the Sha Diao's location, as if he had completely vanished from this world!

This guy couldn't have just run off to another world, could he? Frustrated and heartbroken by Parker? Wait! Then what about me? Kurohane suddenly realized that Deadpool's disappearance was far too serious for him! He'd only wanted to leave Deadpool alone for a bit to slack off and enjoy a moment of peace. As a result, the Sha Diao had pulled off something major. It seemed from now on, even if he was annoyed to death by Deadpool, he couldn't let him act alone!

But thankfully, hope wasn't completely lost. Including Venom, there had been a total of three individuals here just moments ago. Now Venom and Deadpool were gone, but the grounded spirit of New York surely remained. As long as he could find Parker, who had removed the Venom Suit, he would definitely know what happened!

Kurohane sensed Parker's location again and found that he had returned to his dilapidated apartment. He was standing in the bathroom taking a shower, as if he hadn't had enough of standing naked in the rain earlier. Kurohane hesitated for a moment and decided not to set the portal's exit inside Parker's apartment. He remembered Nick Fury sitting on the sofa in his own tiny apartment.

He appeared outside Parker's apartment and gently knocked on the door.

Thump thump boom!

Kurohane watched the apartment door fall before him and felt his blood pressure rise again. With these living conditions, he couldn't fathom how Parker dared to flirt with girls!

Hearing the sound of his door being knocked down, Parker immediately snapped out of his post-coital clarity. He quickly wrapped a towel around himself, rushed out of the bathroom barefoot, and saw the wooden door lying on the floor.

"Who the hell did this!"

Appearing even faster than Parker was the landlord, who shrieked when she saw the fallen door. Then Kurohane stuffed a wad of US dollars into her throat, making a strange "gurgling" sound.

"Take your money and go."

"Alright, Sir! You two take your time, it's fine even if you knock down the house!"

The owner, a professional businesswoman, could estimate the amount just by pinching the wad with two fingers. This wad of US dollars was clearly no less than a hundred banknotes, enough for her to redecorate a room of the same size more than ten times over! Seeing how easily Kurohane had gotten rid of the difficult landlord, Parker felt that Kurohane was radiating handsomeness all over!

"Mister Angel! Why didn't you appear for so long? I still want to have a good chat with you about how to be a successful superhero! Also, can you teach me how to get rid of that difficult landlord?"

"Rest. Don't know. Money." Kurohane answered Parker's questions with just three words, then lifted the door from the floor and placed it back in the doorframe. "I've answered all your questions, now it's my turn to ask. Parker, when you took off your clothes tonight, did you see Deadpool?"
