Chapter 145: Chapter 145
Kurohane stepped out of the portal, his materialization barely rippling beside the old bronze bell on the church roof. Originally, he'd planned to lift the entire bell, a heroic effort to mimic the sound wave techniques of New Crane-Needle Martial Arts, all to show Deadpool the true meaning of Chinese Kung Fu. However, even with his body strengthened many times over, the bronze bell refused to budge. A clever idea then struck him: he opened three portals precisely near it, creating a sort of acoustic maze. As long as the bell's sound could pass through.
As Kurohane suspected, Deadpool, being so familiar with the storyline, naturally knew Venom's weakness. After kidnapping Mary Jane, Wade Wilson had hidden every hollow steel pipe from the surrounding construction scaffolding. That way, even if Kurohane interfered, he wouldn't find any weapons or tools that could produce loud noises. Being constantly shot in the head by Kurohane every day must have been frustrating, so Wade had to prove himself! Not to show how amazing he was, but to reclaim what he'd lost. Even if, in Kurohane's presence, he only lost a bit of integrity, and integrity wasn't very useful to him, he still wanted to get it back!
However, facts proved that above a "walking" Deadpool, there was always a "flying" Kurohane! Kurohane could truly fly! With a flap of his light wings on his back, the three portals formed a three-dimensional formation, surrounding Deadpool in the center. The bronze bell only rang once, but in Deadpool's ears, the sound reverberated as if striking three times over. Deadpool's eardrums felt like they were exploding, let alone the Venom enveloping him! The symbiote writhed, wanting to leave Deadpool's body, but was helpless. It wanted to burrow deeper, but its power was also paralyzed!
The sonic attack was remarkably effective, and Parker was freed from Venom's grasp. Swiftly, he leaped toward the taxi, which was now free-falling from the sky. Thanks to Kurohane's intervention, the dark webs holding the taxi lost their power, snapping one by one. Mary Jane, as if understanding the cue, screamed cooperatively, a shriek that cut through the night air.
"Ah——!" Mary Jane's voice pierced the eerie silence, audible all the way to the streets below.
Parker exerted all his strength, his spider-sense pushed to its maximum. Enduring Mary Jane's ear-splitting scream, he slipped in through the taxi's broken window, seizing Mary Jane's trembling arm. With a powerful kick, he broke open the door on the other side, shot a web to a nearby building, and immediately pulled them both out of the falling taxi. He let the taxi plunge freely, causing a massive explosion as it hit the ground, transforming into a fireball that shattered all the glass in the surrounding buildings.
Unfortunately, someone else got tragically obliterated into a fireball along with Venom. Kurohane hadn't expected Deadpool to be that unlucky, he was already completely controlled by the sonic attack from the three portals. Standing in mid-air, relying only on a few flimsy Venom webs, he then had the extreme misfortune of being hit by the falling taxi. Perhaps this was truly Deadpool's destiny, always being cursed by taxis!
Sandman, who had disappeared for half a day, finally emerged, dragging a severely burned, naked man from the fiery wreckage. His clothes, except for the crucial parts, were completely covered by the red bodysuit...
Kurohane shook his head, his expression resigned. He didn't even want to complain anymore, for something like this to happen to Deadpool, it was simply two words: Naturally!
Parker, who had safely placed his 'white moonlight and cinnabar mole' Mary Jane, also appeared beside Kurohane. He clung to the outer wall of the building, staring at the still-smoking Deadpool, and asked, "He's not dead, is he? He's completely burned."
"He's a little crispy, but that's better than nothing." Kurohane couldn't bear to look, covering his eyes with his hand. At this moment, he truly hated having Super Vision, seeing everything so clearly wasn't always a good thing. It was just too unsightly!
Then Green Goblin also appeared, throwing a pumpkin bomb into Sandman's face as he emerged. Riding his glider, he successfully drew Sandman's attention, and the two villains immediately engaged in a brutal fight. Ironically, they left Kurohane and Parker stranded on the side, unable to even intervene!
The Green Goblin's handsome yet somewhat sinister face was already half-destroyed since his dispute with Parker regarding Mary Jane. However, hearing Mary Jane was kidnapped by the black monster, he came without the slightest hesitation. He wasn't here to help Spider-Man, he was here to help the black monster! However, upon arriving at the scene, he happened to see the black monster being hit by a taxi, falling to the ground, and turning into a fireball, seemingly beyond survival!
A true man knows when to yield and when to stand firm, Green Goblin resolutely joined Spider-Man's team and began fiercely attacking Sandman. With this, Green Goblin Harry successfully redeemed himself! As long as he didn't die tonight, he could live happily ever after with Mary Jane and Parker. Any combination of the three could form a couple, and they looked like a standard family unit! A standard US teenage romance story!
Divine Intervention and the Threat of Hell
After being 'dead' for a while, Deadpool crawled up from the ground like a zombie. He pulled out a needle and thread from the back of his butt, fiddled with it under his crotch for a while, and restored his burnt bodysuit to its original state. Looking up, he saw expressions of disgust on Parker's and Kurohane's faces. After blowing a flirtatious kiss in their direction, he drew twin swords from his back, charged at the massive pile of sand that was Sandman, and was immediately knocked to the ground by one of Sandman's fatal blows!
Green Goblin, still in the air distracting Sandman, felt incredibly fortunate after witnessing Deadpool's combat prowess. He was lucky he hadn't sided with this silly person against Parker, otherwise, he might not have survived the night! Look at the Angel flying next to Parker, just standing there radiating an aura of serenity, clearly a master! Nothing like this lewd person in a red bodysuit, who was useless except for being resilient!
Deadpool's katana slices into Sandman were indeed effective, carving off large amounts of sand. Unfortunately, the area cut was too small, Sandman's self-recovery speed was far faster than the damage inflicted. Then Sandman found an opening and punched Deadpool, sending him crashing hard into a wall, where a spray of blood splattered. But in a few breaths, he was back in high spirits, tearing himself off the wall and charging back at Sandman.
"Mister Angel..." Parker began, hesitating.
"Just call me Kurohane." Kurohane's voice was calm, no-nonsense.
"Mister Kurohane, do you know that crazy guy can't be killed no matter what? He's been beaten to that state, aren't you going to help him?" Parker now realized that the reason Kurohane was looking for him was because of Deadpool. However, their relationship seemed odd, Deadpool had been battered three or four times, while Kurohane seemed completely calm, as if fishing, without the slightest concern.
"I'm not familiar with that silly person, he loves you." Kurohane replied casually, a small smirk on his lips as he pointed towards Deadpool, who was still struggling against Sandman.
Parker stared at him, his expression a mixed bag of confusion and disgust.
