Baron Strucker was not interested in immortality because, after his resurrection, he had essentially stopped aging. What truly intrigued him was Jia Ying's "Afterlife"—a place full of Inhumans.

Under threat of the lives of her husband, Calvin, and her daughter, Daisy, Jia Ying finally gave in and revealed the location of the "Afterlife."

Baron Strucker personally led a Hydra assault team to raid the "Afterlife," successfully capturing all the Inhumans inside after a fierce battle.

The situation with the Inhumans was similar to that of mutants. With a few exceptions, most Inhumans, despite their superpowers, had abilities that were not combat-oriented. Additionally, many of their family members, who had lived there for generations, were also non-combatants.

When Hydra's forces arrived at the "Afterlife" and took Jia Ying as a hostage, almost all of the Inhumans surrendered without much resistance.

However, when Baron Strucker began experimenting on the Inhumans, he discovered that he could not replicate their superpowers. Worse, he learned of the complex relationship between the Inhuman genes and the crystals, leaving him deeply disappointed.

This meant he could not create a large army of soldiers with specific superpowers.

In the end, Baron Strucker took every Inhuman's family member from the "Afterlife," scattering them to various unknown locations as hostages, forcing Jia Ying and the Inhumans to serve him.

"Gordon, take me to the Afterlife," Jia Ying ordered.

She picked up a special phone in her room, dialing it to reach the "Afterlife." In an instant, a faceless man appeared in front of her.

The faceless man was named Gordon, and he possessed the abilities to sense Inhumans and teleport.

Gordon took Jia Ying's hand and instantly teleported her to the "Afterlife," where the Inhumans had lived for generations.

Jia Ying summoned the most battle-capable Inhumans from her tribe and conveyed to them Baron Strucker's orders. She finished with a warning:

"Remember, the success or failure of the mission doesn't matter. What matters most is staying alive.

Gordon, if things go south, take them and escape immediately. I'll handle Strucker.

And Daisy, your abilities are powerful, but you haven't yet fully mastered them, so be careful."

Once she finished giving instructions, Gordon teleported Jia Ying back to Hydra's Sokovia base. Then, one by one, he transported the Inhumans with abilities, including Daisy, to the Three-Arc Wing Building in Washington, D.C.

Meanwhile, after Coulson and Captain America's group departed in the X-Jet, George gave Professor X a few instructions before vanishing from the school.

He, of course, was going to take this opportunity to infiltrate Hydra's base and seize the Tesseract.

Hydra's base, where they stored the Tesseract and developed energy weapons, was located on a remote island not far from Washington.

George first teleported to the edge of the sea, then spread his wings and flew toward the island.

Due to the limited flight speed of his "Wing" magic, he accelerated his flight using magnetism. There were many methods to achieve this.

For example, he could apply the equivalent of ten tons of force to the iron plates on his shoes, gliding along the Earth's magnetic lines, creating a reaction force, or manipulating gravitational factors.

Thanks to all these boosts, his flying speed reached supersonic levels.

Fortunately, his body had long surpassed normal human limits; otherwise, this speed would have caused his body to break down.

Unless he cast an Iron Armor spell on himself, but that would increase resistance and affect his speed.

"Tony's suit still wins when it comes to flying speed!" George thought, remembering Iron Man's suit.

According to Tony's explanation when George ordered the metal model last time, after obtaining some technology from the Asgardian realm, Tony's Iron Man suit had been upgraded to a speed of Mach 4.

"Once I have some time, I need to create my own magical suit."

Recently, George had been learning the Knight Transformation magic from Elusha, a form of magic that allowed one to instantly wear armor stored in the transformation space.

If he could create magical armor, he would be able to put it on instantly, which would be incredibly convenient.

At supersonic speed, with a precise coordinate in hand, George quickly located the island and saw Hydra's buildings marked with their emblem scattered across it.

At that moment, a large ship was docked at the island's harbor. Hydra soldiers were busy loading crates of newly produced energy weapons onto the vessel, presumably to be transported to other Hydra bases.

"Invisible!"

Instead of directly attacking, George first cast an invisibility spell on himself. He then followed the Hydra soldiers and stealthily walked into the base, blending in without drawing attention.

"Huh, strange... Where are the Hydra robot guards?"

He recalled from his memories in Sitrae that Pierce, using some technology he obtained from S.H.I.E.L.D., had Zola build a number of Hydra robot soldiers.

These Hydra robots were supposed to be guarding the Tesseract on this island.

However, as George made his way through the base, he didn't encounter a single one.

But he wasn't concerned. For someone with his abilities, robotic soldiers were practically powerless against him.

With his current magnetic power to control ten tons of metal, any robot would be disassembled in an instant, unable to put up any resistance.

"Alohomora!"

Reaching the deepest part of the base, George used a series of unlocking spells to open several steel doors. Finally, he came face to face with the Tesseract, which was being drained of energy.

"Wuu! Wuu! Wuu!"

Just then, the entire base suddenly erupted with a blaring alarm. George had been detected.

"Heat sensors, huh? Their defenses are quite tight."

He dispelled the invisibility spell but didn't rush. Calmly, he walked up to the machine extracting energy from the Tesseract.

The machine was continuously draining energy from the Tesseract, converting it into a stable blue energy that was stored in sealed glass containers and transported via a conveyor belt to other rooms.

Picking up one of the glass containers from the belt, George opened it and closed his eyes, beginning to meditate and absorb the energy inside.

After a moment, he smiled and opened his eyes.

"It works!"

The blue energy in the glass container could be absorbed like magical crystals, increasing his magical power through meditation.

"Who goes there?!"

At that moment, a small squad of Hydra soldiers burst into the room, aiming their energy guns at George. Just as they were about to fire, they found that their guns were suddenly ripped from their hands and turned back on them, firing point-blank into their heads.

Although the energy guns used energy to attack, they were made of metal, which George could control with his powers.

Ignoring the now-dead Hydra soldiers, George switched off the machine and retrieved a small box from his transformation space. He began placing the entire machine and the Tesseract into the box.
