Melting Pot Concept in Marvel

Chapter 4: Chapter 4: Take me Higher!

New York City—Aaron and Kate strolled slowly down the street.

"Aaron, are you from that Asian Country? Just now, were you using that Asian martial arts stuff? I know Bruce Lee—he was incredible! They say he could kick someone ten meters away with one strike!!"

"I always thought that was made up. But after seeing you casually knock people several meters back, I guess martial arts really does exist!"

"Can I learn it?"

"Don't worry, I'll pay you—lots and lots of money!"

Hope sparkled in Kate's eyes. Ever since she'd seen Aaron swoop in like a god and take down those bad guys, she'd lost interest in her old doll collection.

She wanted to be like Aaron—possessing strong combat techniques and power.

"If you're trying to gain power like mine, I'm sorry. I can't give that to you right now," Aaron said with a shake of his head. Theoretically, the Primordial Furnace could indeed grant others the same traits and concepts it gave him, but why would he do that?

Even though Kate was cute, they weren't related in any meaningful way.

He certainly wouldn't hand out superhuman abilities to just anyone—especially someone he barely knew.

Hearing that, Kate's expression dimmed.

"Can ordinary people still become superheroes?" she asked, clearly unwilling to give up.

Kate's understanding was a bit off-base, but Aaron didn't correct her. He just said, "Sure. Look at Tony Stark. He's just an ordinary human who turned himself into a superhero."

Far from being encouraged, Kate only grew more dejected. "But I don't have a suit of armor… I asked my mom about it, and she said you need tons of money and a genius mind to make something that amazing."

"We don't have that kind of money, and certainly not Mr. Stark's brains."

Aaron glanced around. "Well, why not start by putting in the work—learn various fighting techniques and train your body?"

Kate looked thoughtful. "That sounds okay. I'll talk to my mom about enrolling me in Taekwondo, fencing, judo, martial arts…"

She counted them off on her fingers like she was taking it all very seriously.

Aaron couldn't help but laugh. "Maybe pace yourself a bit. You're still growing. Don't do too many physically strenuous activities."

Kate nodded earnestly. "I'll think about it."

Still, she didn't seem particularly excited. Even though this "mentor" figure had shown her a possible path, it all seemed like a lot of work, and it wouldn't grant her Aaron's overwhelming strength right away. She couldn't protect herself or her parents yet. Naturally, that didn't make her too happy—especially since Aaron seemed reluctant to personally teach her.

Looking up at Aaron's tall silhouette, Kate asked, "Could you teach me? Anything at all—fighting, combat experience…?"

Aaron's expression turned a bit odd. "I don't mind being your teacher, but what I can do…there's really no way to teach it."

"Huh?" Kate looked confused.

"Have you ever seen Ultraman Tiga?" he asked.

"I have! I've even heard the theme song 'Take me Higher!'" Kate brightened up. "In that show, kids can turn themselves into light to help Tiga defeat the monsters!"

Aaron blinked. "If I said I could also transform into light, would you believe me?"

"Huh?"

Just then, the familiar "Take me Higher!" tune began playing around them—like sunlight piercing the darkness… a new storm is on the rise…

Kate was so caught up in the music, she couldn't figure out where it was coming from. Then she looked back at Aaron and couldn't tear her gaze away.

"Oh my gosh! I see light!"

She covered her mouth. A luminous glow enveloped Aaron's body, growing brighter by the second, and it even seemed to radiate warmth.

"You…you're an Ultraman!"

"Aaron Ultraman?!"

"!!!"

Seeing Kate's wide-eyed astonishment, Aaron chuckled and shook his head. The glow faded, and his still-warm hand gently ruffled Kate's golden hair.

"I was just messing around. Don't overthink it—I'm no Ultraman. It's just a small ability."

"But you really can turn into light! A real 'Flash Man'?" Kate murmured, walking forward in a daze, still lost in that moment.

Superman? Ultraman? Or the Sun God?

Her mind swirled with ideas, trying to find the best name for Aaron's power. While she was still thinking, Aaron started to sing a new song—a popular American hit currently topping the charts.

What shocked Kate most was that he sounded exactly like the original singer. Actually, he sounded even better. Every note, every beat, was spot on. Then he switched to a completely different style of song with equal ease, singing smoothly, as if it were the same person who had originally recorded it.

"How…how are you doing that?" Kate exclaimed. "You could totally become a singer! You'd be world-famous!"

All of a sudden, she understood why Aaron insisted his abilities weren't something you could just learn. Perfectly mimicking someone else's voice—so lifelike it was indistinguishable from the real thing—might take her years just to get anywhere near that level.

"Maybe you could call yourself 'Mockingbird'?" Kate muttered, rubbing her head in frustration at how hard it was to pick the perfect hero name. "Or maybe Mister Incredible? Or Omni-Man?"

Aaron waved his hands hastily. "Stop obsessing over names, please. The last thing I need is you blurting out something too outrageous!"

Mister Incredible…Omni-man… next she'd be coming up with ideas like Thanos, OAA, Chthon, or Shuma-Gorath.

And this was Marvel. Saying those names out loud might just attract the attention of a cosmic horror.

Seriously, kid, are you that eager to see your dad die sooner? Maybe trade him in for a different one?
