Chapter 108: : Tenebra Omega Awakens & The Clockbreaker’s Gambit

📘 Chapter 108

⚔️ Scene 1: Trial of Verdion – Zui's Test

Zui stood in the Verdant Ring, an ancient clearing in Bloomshade Forest. Before her loomed a towering creature made of living stone and bark—the Verdant Judge, guardian of the forest's deepest will.

"You have piloted Verdion," the Judge rumbled, its voice like thunder through leaves. "But you are untested. Prove your worth or forfeit the mech."

Around the arena, ancient forest spirits watched in silence. Arla stood at the edge, nervous.

Zui's hands trembled as she climbed into Verdion's core. But as soon as she touched the controls, the interface pulsed.

Verdion whispered,

"Let's fight as one."

The battle began. The Judge summoned vines laced with obsidian thorns, hurling them toward Verdion like spears.

Zui responded—not with brute force, but with empathy. Instead of destroying the attacks, she redirected them—healing the corrupted earth, regenerating fallen trees.

She listened to the forest.

The Judge paused. For the first time in centuries, it bowed.

"You are the first pilot since the First Bloom to understand."

Zui had passed. The forest itself gifted her a new core module—a bio-luminal overdrive that doubled Verdion's power when in sync with nature.

But from the shadows, something else watched—a shadowy girl with crimson eyes and a corrupted vine mecha of her own…

🛰️ Scene 2: Tenebra Omega Breathes

Aeris stood before the obsidian titan—Tenebra Omega. Her fingers hovered over the activation rune on her gauntlet.

"Do it," Yen urged. "If your father left it here, it was meant for this."

She pressed it.

The room froze. Lights dimmed. A sudden low hum reverberated across the Martian vault.

Tenebra's core blinked—once. Then again. Then it lit up, bathing the chamber in pulsing violet light.

A whisper filled Aeris's mind:

"You are not its pilot."

She stepped back.

From the chamber's far end, a secret passage opened. Inside was a stasis pod—and within it, a child no older than ten. Wires connected his brain to a miniature Krono reactor.

"Who… is he?" Aeris asked.

"That," Yen said, face pale, "is Project Omega's Original Core."

"That is Tenebra's soul."

⏳ Scene 3: Zake vs. The Clockbreaker

In the temporal dimension of fractured timelines, Zake sparred with versions of himself—but the moment he mastered the Silver-Gold Krono, something shattered in time.

Reality bent—and a being known only as the Clockbreaker emerged.

He wore a flowing coat of temporal threads, his face a spinning clock, hands ticking in reverse. With every step, the ground aged or regrew.

"Zake of Prime Thread," the Clockbreaker said. "You're not meant to exist. Time bleeds because of you."

Zake raised his fists.

"Then let time bleed. I'm not leaving."

A battle ensued unlike any before—Krono flashes faster than thought, futures colliding. Zake bent a moment of time to punch the Clockbreaker before he moved, while the Clockbreaker reversed the punch into Zake's past self.

In the chaos, Zake whispered to himself:

"If every version of me is weak alone… let's fight as one."

All four Zakes fused temporarily—Prime, Rogue, Elder, Spectral—and launched an attack so precise it sliced a hole through time's fabric.

The Clockbreaker shattered… for now.

But his final whisper echoed:

"Every action ripples… your sister will pay first."

🩸 Scene 4: Kael's First Mission After Waking

Kael Vire walked barefoot through the enemy corridors, his red chains now wrapped around his arms like whips.

Soldiers of the Obscura panicked, unable to stop him. He knew who he was now.

"Zeron… my little brother…"

But he also remembered his role in their parents' death—a secret sealed in guilt.

He tore through the hall and reached the ship's bridge.

"Bring me your commander," Kael said coldly. "I'll rip out the heart of every Obscura ship until I see him."

🌌 Scene 5: The Deathmatch Invitation – Zeron's Turning Point

Back at the Mecha Guild, Zeron trained harder than ever, still powerless—but refining his technique, understanding every mecha control system from blueprints alone.

Then an elite agent named Hail Zaphir arrived.

"You want access to classified tech? Then enter the Krono Arena."

"What is it?" Zeron asked.

"A no-mercy tournament where only Mecha tacticians without powers can join. Win, and you'll gain favor from the elite sectors."

Zeron nodded.

"Fine. I'll enter."

Hail smirked.

"Good. Your first opponent is the former champion. He hasn't lost in six years."

As Zeron walked away, Hail whispered into a comm device:

"He's in. Alert the Black Circuit… Project Purple's heir just walked into the lion's den."
