Metaverse of Mechas

Chapter 111: : Roots of Rebellion, Echoes of Time

📘 Chapter 111

🌲 Scene 1: Zui vs. Myrlok – The Forest Assassin

Deep within the sacred Bloomshade Forest, Zui was practicing the ancient Verdant Ritual. The First Blossom was now fused into her mech, Verdion, causing new branches and living flora to intertwine with its armor.

But something was wrong.

The forest grew silent.

Suddenly, a blade slashed through a vine beside her. Shadows flickered, and Zui spun around, activating her defensive vines.

"Show yourself!"

From the treetop, Myrlok, assassin of the Thornshroud Guild, dropped silently like a leaf. His mech, Ghostroot, was camouflaged with forest data and had cloaking abilities that let it merge with any foliage.

"You were never meant to take the Pact, girl. You are a glitch in the flow of Krono."

Without warning, Myrlok lunged. His twin daggers sliced at Verdion's frame, trying to sever the First Blossom from its heart.

But Zui had learned.

She used the terrain.

She activated Nature Bind, causing roots from the ground to entangle Ghostroot's limbs.

Then she whispered, "Floral Pulse."

Verdion's chest bloomed open, and a burst of azure pollen exploded in all directions. It wasn't fatal—but Myrlok gasped.

His mech systems began hallucinating—seeing phantom forests and vanishing paths.

"What… what did you do?!"

"You wanted to hunt the forest. Now, you are lost in it."

She launched him into a mossy ravine.

But before she could land the final blow, he vanished into his mech's cloak—disappearing like mist.

"He'll return," Zui muttered. "Next time, I'll bury you under your own roots."

🌀 Scene 2: Zake's Time Dive – Witnessing the Past

Back in the lab, Zake experimented with the Needle of Echoes.

He stabbed it into a chronal crystal—and time warped around him.

In seconds, he was no longer in the lab.

He stood inside an ancient testing chamber, behind thick glass. Scientists bustled around. In the center of the room stood a small boy…

Zeron.

Wires pierced into his back. Purple sparks flickered around him, destabilizing the environment.

"His core is unstable!" one scientist shouted. "Shut it down!"

"We can't! It's absorbing energy from other children! It's sentient!"

Zake's heart pounded as he saw dozens of other kids fainting around Zeron—each robbed of their Krono.

Zeron screamed—not in pain, but in terror.

He didn't know what was happening.

The vision ended.

Zake snapped back into the present, tears in his eyes.

"They made him a monster… before he even had a choice."

🤝 Scene 3: Vance's Pact – A New Ally Joins Zeron

Zeron, still recovering from his arena fight, sat alone under a cracked dome skylight. The stars shimmered above—cold, distant.

Footsteps approached.

It was Vance Aeron, wearing a new arm brace and carrying a data tablet.

"I ran probability simulations," he said, sitting beside Zeron.

"And?"

"Only one scenario leads to planetary survival: you leading a rogue rebellion."

Zeron blinked. "Why me?"

Vance smirked. "Because you're the only fool reckless enough to challenge the Guild, save strangers, and win with a wrench."

He held out a hand.

"Let me be your strategist. Let's build something better."

Zeron shook it.

"Welcome to the team."

⚠️ Scene 4: Council Secrets – The Traitor Revealed

Within the Central Guild Council, a meeting was underway.

Councilor Rethis stood before a screen. "We've identified a temporal breach around the Bloomshade quadrant. The Needle has been activated."

The other Councilors gasped.

But one man remained calm: Councilor Vaixen.

He tapped his cane once.

Then, from beneath the table, a pulse was sent to a hidden receiver.

Signal acknowledged. Omega Expansion authorized.

Vaixen stood and walked away—but his face twisted unnaturally once out of view.

His eye glowed crimson.

A parasite of alien origin wriggled in his neural cortex.

He was not human anymore.

"Soon, the Purple will burn this world clean," he whispered.

🧠 Scene 5: Tenebra Omega – Mind Spread Protocol Initiated

In the Martian vault, the child of Tenebra walked freely now, his black-and-purple aura distorting the air.

He stepped to a console and inserted his finger into the port.

"Initiate Mind Spread Protocol. Begin replicating my consciousness into all unoccupied machines."

All across the planet, abandoned mechs began to twitch. Eyes lit up. Old systems rebooted.

A plague of sentience was spreading.

Zake, watching from the lab, gasped.

"He's infecting the world…"

Yen turned to him.

"We either shut him down now—or watch every bot become his puppet."

🧩 Scene 6: Kael's Mission – Target: Vaixen

Kael received the decrypted log from Zake. It showed images from Project Genesis. His eyes narrowed.

"Vaixen… that snake."

He loaded his mech, Solarmaw, with a plasma blade attachment.

No more secrets.

Kael was no longer loyal to the Council.

He was now a hunter of traitors.
