Chapter 110: : The Duel of Minds and Shadows

📘 Chapter 110

⚙ Scene 1: Rustpit Arena – Zeron vs. Vance Aeron

The crowd still roared from Zeron's shocking victory, but there was no time to rest.

Within the massive, rusted amphitheater, the announcer's voice boomed:

"Next match: Zeron the Underdog
 vs. Vance the Mindtamer!"

Zeron stood at the center, bruised, bloodied, but unshaken. Across from him stood Vance Aeron, a calm, confident man with glasses that gleamed with tech runes. His Krono core pulsed blue, dense and stable.

"You're clever," Vance said. "But I am precision incarnate."

His mech, Synapse Drift, materialized. It was sleek and slender, with antennae-like sensors constantly scanning and calculating probabilities in real-time.

Zeron had no mech still. Only wits.

As the countdown began, Vance activated Mental Override—a Krono-based ability that allows him to simulate multiple battle scenarios in his mind at once.

"Let's see how far your brain goes without metal arms."

The battle began.

Zeron quickly threw up sensor jammers taken from leftover scraps—but Vance predicted that move. Synapse Drift bypassed the field and struck with a stunning pulse.

Zeron dropped to one knee, dazed.

But he smiled.

"You're predicting what I'll do... based on normal logic. What if I stop using it?"

Zeron threw a wrench.

Literally.

A small, ordinary wrench that Vance ignored. But that wrench hit a loose panel above, causing a shower of sparks that temporarily blinded Vance's sensors.

Then Zeron sprinted in, grabbed an exposed energy line from a fallen mech, and jammed it directly into Synapse Drift's stabilizer node.

The shockwave destabilized its left leg.

"Sometimes... chaos beats calculation."

Zeron used the moment to climb into an abandoned support bot nearby, barely functional, and aimed its weak energy cutter at Vance's cockpit.

"Checkmate."

Vance smiled—then bowed.

"I forfeit."

The audience gasped again. Zeron had beaten one of the best minds in the underworld ring—without a functioning mech.

đŸŒČ Scene 2: Zui and the Forest Tribunal

Meanwhile, in Bloomshade Forest, Zui was recovering when ancient roots emerged from the trees. An old woman stepped forth, followed by two ethereal beings with bark-like skin and glowing eyes.

"Zui of Verdion, we are the Forest Tribunal," the woman said. "You have awakened the First Blossom."

Zui looked down at her mech, which had begun to bloom rare blue flora from its joints.

"The First Blossom?"

"It is the sign of the Verdant Pact—those chosen to protect the balance of Krono and nature."

They handed her an ancient seed.

"This seed is called Elorein. Only one who truly respects life may grow it. If you do
Verdion will evolve beyond its current form."

Zui bowed, confused but honored.

But from the shadows, a spy watched silently—his mech camouflaged to the forest canopy. His name: Myrlok, assassin of the dark guild Thornshroud.

⏳ Scene 3: Zake and the Needle of Echoes

Back in the chrono-fracture rift, Zake arrived—barely.

He collapsed on the floor of an ancient lab. In his hand was an artifact: The Needle of Echoes, a time-infused Krono object said to "stitch" moments together or tear them apart.

Yen and Aeris rushed to him.

"What did you bring?" Aeris asked.

Zake whispered, "Memories... sealed in time."

He tapped the Needle to a data crystal—and suddenly, they were surrounded by visions:

The birth of Purple Krono.A council of scientists warning, "It can absorb all forms of energy... even life force."The face of a boy with glowing purple eyes—Zeron, as a child, surrounded by machines screaming into overdrive.

Aeris stumbled back. "They... used him."

đŸ€– Scene 4: Tenebra Omega's Second Mind

Inside the Martian vault, the second personality inside Tenebra Omega began to stir.

It was hostile.

Its voice echoed in every surface.

"You gave me purpose. Then you abandoned me."

Tenebra's second mind—Unit-ΩX—was born from rage. It wasn't designed to protect.

It was designed to end.

Aeris tried to interface with the original consciousness, but ΩX overrode the link.

Suddenly, the child in the pod stood, his hands glowing black and violet.

"He hears you. He's awake."

Yen stepped forward, trembling. "What are you?"

The child replied with a cold smile.

"I am the prototype of the Purple
and I was never meant to live."

🧬 Scene 5: Kael's Interrogation

Kael tracked down a former lab researcher hiding in a cave beneath the old world ruins.

"I know you were part of Project Genesis."

The man—Dr. Lerien—spat, "Then you know your family was built to be vessels."

Kael's rage flared. "What do you mean?"

The doctor whispered: "Purple Krono needs a host with suppressed emotions... It rejected you. So we bred another—a perfect twin."

Kael's eyes widened.

Zeron was never meant to succeed—he was meant to contain the uncontrollable.

Kael lifted his weapon.

"Then what happens when the container breaks?"

The cave exploded in blue fire.
