📘 Chapter 115

🛸 Scene 1: The Engineer from the Void

Zake groaned, dragging himself out from under a collapsed monorail beam. Sparks flew around him. Naira was unconscious beside him, her breathing shallow but steady.

Suddenly, soft footsteps echoed.

From the thick smoke stepped a tall, hunched figure. Skin grayish-blue. Wires coming out of his back like dreadlocks. A strange alien… but not hostile.

"You're not with the Mindspread, are you?" Zake asked, readying his blaster.

The alien held up empty hands. His eyes—tired, ancient.

"My name is Crixal Venn… former engineer of the Mindspread."

Zake paused.

"Former?"

"I built their war machines. I thought we were creating order. But what they seek is… consumption."

Crixal knelt beside Naira and gently placed two fingers on her forehead. A pulse of calming Krono flowed through her.

"I know what she is. And what's inside her."

Zake looked up, guarded.

"You know who's after her?"

"Everyone."

"Then help us."

The alien's eyes glowed faint violet.

"Follow me to the 13th Layer. The answers you seek are buried in its depths."

🌿 Scene 2: Zui – The First Bloom

Back in the Steel Waste, the ground shook beneath Zui's feet. The tiny seed in her palm split, and glowing tendrils of emerald Krono spiraled into the blackened soil.

And then… life erupted.

A massive vine burst through the ash. Flowers bloomed with neon petals. The air thickened with the scent of fresh ozone and pollen.

Verdion stood awestruck.

"You… reawakened a Lost Flora Node."

Zui staggered.

"I feel… connected. Like I can hear the plants thinking."

"Not thinking. Remembering."

From the central flower, a glowing message floated up:

"Layer 13 breach risk: High. Deploy Guardian."

Zui blinked.

"Guardian?"

Behind her, the petals peeled away to reveal a dormant bio-mech, moss-covered and beautiful.

And it opened its eyes.

⚙️ Scene 3: Zeron Reads the Last Page

The final page of his father's diary wasn't written in ink. It was embedded in Krono—only visible when Zeron channeled power into it.

As he did, a holographic image formed.

A woman.

His mother.

Long silver hair. Same eyes as him. She was standing in a lab, holding a young child—him.

"If you're seeing this, Zeron, I'm likely gone. But know this—you are not a weapon. You are a seal."

Zeron froze.

"What… what does that mean?"

She continued:

"Your father didn't want to believe it. But when the Mindspread first arrived, it wasn't from outside… it was already here. Trapped. Your Krono is the last barrier keeping it from fully awakening."

She looked directly into the projection's lens.

"The Thirteenth Layer is not just a map coordinate. It's where they buried the original Mind. The one that dreamed up the invasion. The thing behind everything."

Zeron stood up.

"Then it's time to dig it up."

⚔️ Scene 4: Kael and Vance Enter the Rift

With the corrupted Prototype disabled, Kael and Vance traced the data shard embedded in its core.

It led to a specific coordinate—far outside the mapped zones. The 13th Layer.

"This place doesn't exist on Guild charts," Vance muttered.

"Which means we're finally doing something right," Kael smirked.

They approached the breach site—guarded by strange monoliths with glowing scripts.

Suddenly, their mechs stopped moving.

A booming voice echoed:

"Only those who bear forgotten memories may pass."

Vance's vision blurred.

He was suddenly a child again… watching his city burn. Machines screaming. His mother pulled into a rift.

Kael screamed too.

The voice laughed.

"Welcome to the Rift of Truth. Welcome to your past."

Inside the Grand Guild Council, the traitor finally moved.

Chairman Rigos stood, smiling calmly.

"My friends… the time has come."

He pressed a hidden button.

Across the city, thousands of Mechas deactivated.

And a single signal was sent—to Mindspread Central.

A signal from Earth.

"We are ready for fusion. Begin Phase Zero."

The ground trembled.

A dark crack split open in the sky.
