MHA: Cruel Transmigrator

Chapter 2: Chapter 2 - Quirk and Mom

Itsuki was alone in his room again, waiting for his mother to arrive. The nurse had given him a bunch of papers listing details about the medications he had been given and the procedures he had undergone.

He had suffered an intracranial hemorrhage, which meant brain bleeding due to using his quirk. He'd gotten a few other bleeds besides that one inside his ear and a bad one in his right eye, which needed surgery.

'Quirk telekinesis...'

Itsuki read from his papers. He knew another character with a similar quirk, Inko Midoria, the protagonist's mother. He was willing to accept their shared last name as a coincidence but not their common quirk.

'I guess this is fine, great even, now that I think about it. My quirk doesn't have a silly name like my mother's, like minor attr... No minor object attraction or whatever it's called.'

The name of his quirk didn't sound comedically weird and he managed to hospitalize himself using it, so it had to be at least somewhat powerful. He wanted to test it and see, but he had an inkling such testing sent him to this hospital bed.

The strength of his quirk would determine a lot about his future. If he had a powerful quirk, he would get away with a lot of stuff he wouldn't get away with a regular quirk. There were also risks involved with having a powerful quirk.

If he displayed too much power and a certain someone took a liking to him a bit too much, he'd end up like that blonde cat woman.

Itsuki had never been a huge fan of how shallowly telekinesis was used in popular media. It was a versatile power, so he would have to do a lot of testing to see the full scope of his capabilities later.

'I should be able to test my quirk a little bit, as long as I don't push myself at all, I doubt anything bad can happen.' Itsuki convinced himself and tried to imagine the papers gently lifting on their own.

The stack lifted out of his hand slowly coming to a still, just a few inches above his hand. The whole experience was hard to describe, it was as if his quirk was a third intangible limb, encompassing the whole paper stack from all around.

A small grin formed on Itsuki's face. He had worried that he couldn't control his quirk at all or that a piercing headache would disrupt him the moment he tried to lift the papers.

Itsuki floated the stack of papers around the room a few times, focusing hard to keep it stable and moving at a steady pace. A part of him wanted to hurl the whole thing at the wall as fast as he could to see how fast it would go, but he knew better.

He kept moving the pile around, carefully drawing shapes into the air and changing the speed. After a while, he tried to separate all the individual papers from the stack, leaving them to neatly float in the air.

'This is surprisingly easy. I thought this would be a lot harder.' Itsuki thought, levitating all of the papers back to his hands effortlessly.

He really wanted to test his quirk on a liquid, but just when he was about to lift the water from his glass. A teary-eyed, green-haired woman rushed inside.

Inko looked nothing like her chubby self from the anime. Her face was delicate and innocent, her smooth skin glowing with youthful vigor despite the years that had passed.

Her beige sweater and tight jeans did little to conceal her striking figure. His eyes instinctively darted from her teary face to her bountiful bosom, which the sweater tightly hugged.

"Mommy is here Itsuki! Everything will be okay!"Inko yelled and rushed to his bedside, desperately pulling him into a tight embrace.

Inko held him close, pressing his face against her soft breasts. "Everything is okay now." She murmured over and over, almost as if she were trying to convince herself.

Itsuki placed one of his hands on her back without resisting the embrace, letting his mother hold him as tightly as she needed. Clealry Inko had been through a lot of struggle during the past week while he was unconscious.

Itsuki silently enjoyed the softness of her chest pressing against his face, gently rubbing her narrow lower back, resisting the urge to move his hand lower.

'I have to get this woman off me before I do something reckless.'

"Can you please get off me Mom..." Itsuki mumbled into her chest, his voice slightly muffled as he pulled his hand away from her back.

"I'm so sorry! I didn't realize!" Inko gasped, frantically letting go of him. "Hopefully, I didn't hurt you dear..."

"I'm fine, It was just getting a little hard to breathe." Itsuki reassured her.

Inko looked at her son with a relieved yet concerned expression, her teary eyes darting to the bandages on his head as her joy slowly gave way to worry. She had been so overjoyed to see him awake again that she had almost forgotten how injured he was.

Inko took some time to calm herself down. Her job as a mother was to take care of her son, not to desperately squeeze him and cry like a little girl while he was injured.

"Hey, Mom... My memories are a little foggy," Itsuki said, doing his best to sound confused. "Do you know how I ended up in the hospital? And what was I doing before that? I don't really remember much, even from before that..."

Itsuki grabbed his head, pretending to concentrate as if he was trying to recall a lost memory. Even if people noticed his behavior had changed or that he'd forgotten things, it was unlikely to cause trouble.

They would likely just assume his weird behavior and choppy memories were a result of his injury, even if he didn't tell anyone he'd forgotten a lot of stuff. It would become apparent sooner or later, and in this case, sooner was far more convenient. And besides, he already told the nurse that his memory was a little fuzzy.

Inko felt something sinking in her chest as she listened to her son. She hadn't thought much of it at first, but now that she looked at him carefully, she noticed something was different.

The way he gazed back at her wasn't quite the same. It was as if a part of the boy she had raised was missing, the familiar glimmer in his eye, the subtle, lovely spark that had always been there. She did not see it.

A deep unease settled in her chest, twisting into something almost painful. Her hands trembled slightly as she reached for him, gently cupping his face as if to reassure herself that he was still there, still her son.

"Everything's okay sweetheart." Inko murmured, putting on a warm smile despite the sinking feeling in her chest. She squeezed his hand gently, hoping to offer him comfort.

"I know you must be scared, but I will love you no matter what." Inko said with a genuine smile plastered on her angelic face. "I'll call the doctor now. I am sure he'll be able to help."
