MHA Dungeon Master

Chapter 27: Fierce Battle

Day by day, Emilia and I continued our training at the dojo with unwavering enthusiasm and dedication. Each training session was no longer just a routine, but a time we always eagerly anticipated.

The dojo, with its warm wooden walls and the distinctive scent of tatami, had become our second home. The sound of wood creaking as we moved, the panting breaths, and the spirited shouts of Mamoru-sensei, all became a melody accompanying our progress.

I was always the first to master the new moves taught by Mamoru-sensei. My diligence in training was like steadily dripping water, slowly but surely carving progress into my abilities.

In every practice, I always strived to give my best, pushing myself to the limit, trying each technique with precision and full power. There was a unique satisfaction when a move that initially felt difficult and awkward could finally be performed smoothly and naturally.

Despite this, I remained humble. Arrogance is the main enemy of a martial artist, Mamoru-sensei always reminded us. I diligently followed Mamoru-sensei's guidance, absorbing every correction and piece of advice with an open mind.

I understood that in martial arts, humility and discipline are the main keys to true success. Therefore, I never felt satisfied with my achievements. Instead, the hunger to continue learning and growing only grew stronger. Every compliment I received became a whip to train even harder.

My persistence and natural talent apparently did not escape the notice of everyone at the dojo. It wasn't just my amazing learning speed, but also a strategic understanding in combat that seemed to have been embedded in me since birth. I wasn't just memorizing moves, but also understanding why the move was performed, when was the right time to use it, and how to maximize its effectiveness.

Whenever a new lesson began, I always tried to go beyond just mastering the moves. I tried to delve into the logic behind each technique, understanding the basic principles that underpinned it. This understanding was what later allowed me to apply these techniques effectively in real combat situations, not just as an empty sequence of movements.

Emilia also trained diligently, although not as fast as I was in mastering the moves. However, her burning ambition and determination helped her to keep trying without giving up. Emilia's never-give-up spirit was truly extraordinary. Whenever she faced difficulties, she never backed down or complained.

Instead, she used those difficulties as motivation to train even harder. Her unwavering spirit became an inspiration to everyone at the dojo, including myself. She showed that talent isn't everything; perseverance and fighting spirit are what will take someone to the top.

"Mamoru-sensei, Himaru is an extraordinary child. He always masters the moves so quickly," a student said to Mamoru-sensei, his voice full of admiration. I heard the praise while continuing to train, trying not to be affected by it. Praise can be poison if not addressed wisely.

"Yes, Himaru is indeed special. He has a natural talent for martial arts," Mamoru-sensei replied proudly, his eyes shining with genuine pride. I felt warmth hearing the praise from sensei. He was not just a teacher, but also a father figure to me at the dojo.

For a full month, I trained non-stop. Every time there was a new move, I was always the first to learn it perfectly. Every day, I came to the dojo with renewed enthusiasm, ready to learn and grow.

The dojo had become my stage to hone myself, and I didn't want to waste this opportunity. I wanted to become the strongest martial artist, not just for myself, but also to protect the people I care about.

Everyone at the dojo admired my dedication and unwavering learning spirit. My hard work and perseverance did not go unnoticed, and they all supported my progress. Support from friends and sensei was the fuel that spurred my spirit to keep moving forward.

Meanwhile, Emilia, who was initially slightly behind, also experienced significant improvement thanks to help from me and Itsuka. Itsuka, with her extraordinary patience, was always ready to help and encourage Emilia. She explained difficult moves in easy-to-understand language and provided moral support when Emilia felt discouraged.

Thanks to Itsuka, Emilia was able to continue developing and becoming better every day. Emilia's success was real proof that hard work and support from friends can produce extraordinary results. Our friendship grew stronger amidst the harsh training.

Over the past month, I also continuously utilized the three lives given by the dungeon every day. These lives were not just a game mechanic, but also a symbol of second, third, and even fourth chances to learn from mistakes and bounce back. Whenever I lost, I never felt ashamed or discouraged. Instead, that defeat became my best teacher.

Every day, I never wasted the opportunity to train and improve myself. Every time I faced defeat in battle in the dungeon, I quickly got back up and used the remaining chances to learn from my mistakes.

I analyzed each defeat, finding out my weaknesses, and devising new strategies to face the same enemy next time. This routine gradually strengthened my mental and physical endurance every day.

Every day, I found myself in fierce battles with vampires or in quests to find them. This activity seemed endless, as if every corner of the city within the dungeon was a battlefield I had to face.

The dungeon city was a never-ending labyrinth, full of dark alleys and old buildings that held danger at every turn. The musty and cold aroma always enveloped the air, adding to the eerie impression of this place.

Every night, I had to be on high alert to face strong and cunning enemies. However, this did not diminish my determination to keep moving forward. On the contrary, my spirit burned even brighter as I saw my combat skills improve day by day. Every vampire I managed to defeat was a step forward on my journey to become stronger. I could feel new strength flowing through me as my experience and training increased.

Over the past month, my progress in hunting vampires had reached 37 out of 1000 vampires that had to be defeated. Although this number seemed small, each vampire I defeated marked significant progress.

I knew the journey ahead was still long and winding, but I believed that hard work would eventually pay off. The goal of 1000 vampires was like a towering mountain, but I was sure, with perseverance and a never-give-up spirit, I could definitely climb it to the top.

Slowly but surely, I began to kill vampires more efficiently using the martial arts skills I learned from Mamoru-sensei. Every move and technique that initially felt stiff and difficult now felt like a natural extension of my arm. I could move faster, stronger, and more precisely.

Thanks to intensive training at the dojo, every move and technique I learned became a deadly weapon in battle. Every kick and punch I delivered became more accurate and powerful, making the vampires struggle to keep up. I felt the power of martial arts flowing through my veins, transforming myself into an efficient vampire-killing machine.

The time left before I had to complete the system's task was about ten months. As time sped by quickly, I felt the need to train and hunt vampires even more diligently. Awareness of this deadline fueled my motivation to work even harder. Time was my enemy now, and I had to use every second to become stronger.

Therefore, I needed to hunt more vampires after finishing dojo training. Every night after practice, I quickly headed to the dungeon to continue my quest and battles. Night was the vampires' domain, and I had to dare to enter their territory to challenge them.

Despite being tired after training all day, I never gave up and kept moving forward. I knew this was the only way to achieve my goal of becoming stronger. The feeling of tiredness and sleepiness was tempting, but my determination to become stronger was far greater than that temptation.

Meanwhile, I also had to continue exploring the dungeon to find clues about the Dungeon BOSS's location. If I could find and defeat the Dungeon BOSS, there would surely be abundant rewards and possibly a key to the next dungeon level. Defeating the Dungeon BOSS was the key to unlocking my full potential and stepping into a higher level.

This success would open up new, more challenging opportunities and bring significant progress for me. Therefore, I also needed to focus on thoroughly exploring every corner of the dungeon. Searching for the Dungeon BOSS was like looking for a needle in a haystack, but I couldn't give up. I had to explore every alley, every room, every corner of the dungeon until I found it.

So I needed to set aside time to explore the dungeon more carefully. Although hunting vampires was the main task, I couldn't ignore the importance of thoroughly exploring the dungeon. Both tasks were equally important and had to be done simultaneously.

---

Two years later, in the dead of night, I stumbled upon an open field surrounded by old buildings and ruins within the dungeon. Two years had passed quickly, and I had experienced many things. Training at the dojo became increasingly difficult, battles in the dungeon became more intense, but I never gave up. I had grown into a much stronger and more experienced martial artist.

The atmosphere around me felt cold and eerie, as if darkness emanated from every corner. The biting night air added to the spooky feel of this place. In front of me stood a vampire, slightly different from the vampires I usually encountered. This vampire exuded a different aura of power, a more frightening and menacing aura.

This vampire possessed extraordinary strength and had superior combat skills. He wore a red suit that set him apart from the other vampires I had often encountered. The red color was like fresh blood, adding to the gruesome impression of his appearance.

[Name: Vladislaus Dracul]

[Title: Duke Vampire]

[Level: 15]

I had a feeling that the upcoming battle might be the most challenging for me. The silence of the night grew even more ominous, as if the universe itself was holding its breath to witness our duel. I could feel my heart beating faster, not out of fear, but out of adrenaline and anticipation of the battle that was about to happen.

The vampire stepped forward with a sinister smile on his face. "You think you can defeat me, weak human?" he taunted, his cold voice echoing in the silent night. The tone of contempt in his voice made my blood boil, igniting a fierce fighting spirit within me. The taunt became fuel for my spirit. I would prove him wrong for underestimating me.

I immediately took a fighting stance and replied, "I'm not here to talk. Let's see who will emerge victorious between us." The challenge in my voice was undeniable, and I was ready to prove my courage. I would not back down even a bit. I would face this vampire with all the ability I possessed.

The fight began with a lightning-fast attack from the vampire, who tried to stab me with his sharp claws. I swiftly dodged and countered with a powerful punch to the vampire's chest. My movements were reflexive and instinctive, the result of thousands of hours of training at the dojo and constant death while fighting vampires.

The punch caused the vampire to recoil for a moment but was not enough to make him fall. The vampire quickly launched a counterattack with even faster and stronger movements. He was not affected by my punch; he was a tough opponent.

In just seconds, we exchanged blows. I delivered punches and kicks with incredible speed and accuracy, but the vampire managed to evade and parry most of my attacks. He also possessed amazing speed and strength. I had to be careful.

The battle grew fiercer as the vampire managed to strike back with devastating force. I felt his sharp claws scrape my skin, leaving bloody wounds. Pain spread throughout my body, but I couldn't afford to be careless. I had to stay focused and alert.

Gasping for breath, I struggled to hold on. I used all the martial arts skills I had mastered to fight the vampire, but the wounds I suffered became more numerous and deeper. Each of the vampire's attacks felt increasingly powerful and deadly. I felt cornered, but I couldn't give up.

The vampire's attacks became more ferocious, and I felt my body strength beginning to wane. In an instant, the vampire managed to knock me to the ground with a solid blow to my chest. Breath felt tight, vision began to blur. I felt terrible pain in my chest, as if a bone was broken.

Sitting on the ground, I felt excruciating pain. Blood flowed from my wounds, and I felt my life drifting away like a candle flame that could be extinguished by the slightest breeze. I felt weak and helpless, as if all my struggles so far would end in vain.

The vampire approached with a victorious smile, ready to deliver the final blow. "Turns out you're not as strong as I thought, weak human," mocked the vampire, raising his sharp claws to end my life. The mocking words sounded faint in my ears, but it was precisely those words that rekindled my fading spirit.

However, at the most critical moment, I remembered all my training and struggles over the past two years. I couldn't give up just like that. I had sacrificed so much to get this far. I couldn't let it all be in vain.

With the remaining strength I had, I rose and launched a surprise attack at the vampire's face. The attack caught the vampire off guard and forced him to retreat a few steps. I took advantage of the vampire's lapse to get back on my feet.

Seizing this opportunity, I unleashed a barrage of attacks. With incredible speed and strength, I delivered punches and kicks relentlessly. I attacked blindly, forgetting the pain and fatigue.

The vampire tried to fight back, but I had already found a gap in his defense. I attacked the vampire's weak points with perfect accuracy, making him weaker and weaker. Each of my attacks hit his vital points, making the vampire roar in pain.

In one swift motion, I jumped up and aimed a powerful kick at the vampire's head. The attack hit the vampire's head hard, causing him to fall to the ground. I did not give him a chance to get up again. With burning determination, I delivered the final blow that shattered the vampire's heart, killing him instantly.

Gasping for breath, I stood over the lifeless body of the vampire. Blood flowed from my wounds, but I felt relieved to have won this battle. This victory felt sweet after such a hard fight.
