Chapter 10: THE ALL KNOWING
---
Even if Death Bringer had a body hardening quirk, it was a fact that the testicles are 50% thinner than the skin of the body, and in terms of sensitivity, they are 20 times more sensitive. Even if he used his quirk on his testicles, his skin hardening would still be useless because they would at best only use half the power of what the rest of the body is getting.
One more reason was because Ken's template for Mei Mei had reached a stunning 28%; this upgraded his curse manipulation to level 2, giving him the ability to imbue his cursed energy into other objects. This meant his scissors had become five times sharper and stronger, and they were attacking the weakest parts of Death Bringer's body, eyes included. Death Bringer's death was inevitable.

Now sitting in what looked like a room, Ken was given food and drinks. He had a nice bed that could only support one person and a mini fridge that came with a lot of refreshments; this was the best outcome he could have ever gotten.
In the gauntlet, there were only three rules.
Number one, after winning a match, you are given a room and food to spend the night.
Number two, you have to fight a match every day to get the privilege of sleeping in again; each match win equals one night.
Number three, if you don't participate in a match, you are kicked out immediately.
The gauntlet, the only place where you fight to survive. Because of these rules, most people think this place is filled with the homeless and drug addicts, but that is not the case; because in order to enter such a place, you have to be acknowledged by a bodyguard that is found in the entrance.
"Tap, tap," there was a knock on the door. Ken simply slowly got up and opened it, and outside he was met with the receptionist who once took him to the ring. She had long black hair and was now wearing a different suit; it was purple and bright. Inside of it, a green shirt could be seen. She was holding a box of medicine, and without warning, she just went inside, ignoring Ken, who had opened the door.
"You asked for this," she said as she placed it on top of the bed, and moved her gaze to Ken as if thinking. "From now on, I have taken the decision to become your sponsor," she spoke. "Don't disappoint me," she continued as she didn't take her eyes off him. Ken simply smiled awkwardly as he placed his left hand on his chest, indicating that he was badly injured.
She simply sighed in response and started opening the box. Ken took off his shirt and sat on the chair that was there. She sat on the bed and began to apply the medicine. This time, Ken wasn't wearing his mask, so it was the first time she was seeing his face. "You don't really care about your identity, do you? So why wear a mask?" she asked him as she took out a pair of gloves and began to open some alcohol and apply it on his wounds.
"Because it's intimidating. You might not know this, but I'm 10; no one is afraid of a ten-year-old, and if I didn't wear it, I'm not too sure if your bouncer over there would have let me in," he answered ,looking at a wall that was closer to the door. "You can sense him?" she asked in shock, for her bodyguard was well hidden. "I can see him," Ken replied as if trying to stop speaking about that topic.
It was around 30 minutes, and she had done applying the medicine. She had explained that her name was Meg, and she had taken the responsibility to become his sponsor. This simply meant that she would supply him with most of the things he needed like weapons, armor, and clothes, and all he had to do was fight the people she chooses, and she would place bets on his behalf, making millions in the process.
Of course, Ken wouldn't get any of the money; the only thing he would get is an increase in the possibility of survival because even the strongest of people needed weapons and support. Meg was about to get up and leave, but Ken stopped her for a second. "Why did you give me the name Odin?" he asked with curiosity evident in the sound of his voice. "Your eyes," she replied, surprising Ken. "They are different from what I have ever seen before; they are both scary and beautiful.
It's strange; I feel like they are affected by nothing, they just seem distant, unique, and well..." she hesitated for a moment, "they seem... well, they seem all-knowing." She said, gaining Ken's full attention even more as she walked out of the room, closing the door.
Ken could see both of them walking down the stairs using his crow vision from the 13 crows he had placed outside his room; he had his crows surrounding the area to make sure he kept an eye on anything that was potentially near him. "Odin," he wondered to himself, thinking about a God who had the same name he once read about from his previous life, "The all-knowing."
