Chapter 2453: -2353- The goddesses of this era
"This divine aura..."
Kingu seemed to sense something and turned his gaze toward the sky.
"Hmph!"
Gorgon also darkened her expression.
"Senpai!"
Mash gasped in shock.
As for the people in Chaldea, exclamations of alarm echoed.
"Another mana signature is incoming! And this one is Servant-class!"
"The readings are divine level! Divine specifications too!"
"No doubt about it… it's a goddess!"
Olga Marie, Da Vinci, and Roman all spoke up, informing everyone of what had happened.
Rozen, following that overwhelming divine aura, looked toward the other side of the sky.
There, under the suddenly appearing night sky, a dark silhouette sped toward them at incredible speed.
What descended was a massive pterosaur.
The pterosaur had a sharp beak, was covered in feather-like fur, and its coloring was extremely vivid. As it soared across the night sky, it arrived above the crowd.
"That's… a Quetzalcoatlus...!?"
Mash was stunned.
Even Rozen raised his eyebrows slightly.
Quetzalcoatlus, also known as the Wind God Pterosaur or Quetzal-winged dragon, was the largest known flying creature of all time. With a wingspan reaching up to twelve meters, it rivaled a small aircraft.
It lived during the Late Cretaceous period 60 million years ago, and its name came from a feathered wind deity.
In other words, this being was a species from 60 million years ago, absolutely beyond the level of phantasmal beasts, possibly even surpassing divine beasts.
And now, such a creature was merely the mount of a single goddess.
"Hola!"
Atop the Quetzalcoatlus, a woman cheerfully waved to the crowd.
She had foreign golden hair, wore garments resembling ancient priests or shamans, with an overall forest-like vibe.
In her hand was a massive broad-bladed sword. She looked like a friendly foreign big sister, giving off a very approachable aura.
Yet on this seemingly warm and cheerful woman was an overwhelming divine aura—so intense it surpassed even Gorgon, beyond even Ishtar, the most magnificent divine presence Rozen had encountered thus far.
And when this foreign goddess appeared, the Kinu feathered cloak on Rozen's body reacted intensely, scattering fire particles.
Not only Kinu, even the Galatine in his hand responded, erupting into flames.
Rozen gripped Galatine tightly, pressed down on his robe, and stared intently at the goddess riding the Quetzalcoatlus, his expression turning solemn.
If Rozen was like this, Mash was even more shaken.
"That goddess…"
Sweat dripped from Mash's brow.
Her instincts warned her—despite the goddess's warm demeanor, she was far more dangerous than Gorgon or Ishtar.
Rozen recalled what Ishtar had mentioned earlier that morning:
Among all the goddesses currently manifested, the Forest Goddess held the highest divine rank.
With that, the identity of the goddess became clear.
She was the Forest Goddess, a deity of South American origin, and the last pillar of the Three Goddess Alliance.
And such a goddess, with a Quetzalcoatlus as her mount, and able to provoke reactions from both Kinu and Galatine...
"Could it be…"
Rozen thought of a possibility that made his expression all the more serious.
Because perhaps… he had just encountered a being even more terrifying than the Mage King Solomon.
Gorgon and Kingu's reactions to the newcomer were telling.
Kingu even spoke.
"What are you doing here, Quetzalcoatl!"
So spoke Kingu, directly naming her—Quetzalcoatl.
Mash's eyes widened.
Everyone in Chaldea gasped.
And Rozen internally muttered, as expected.
This identity matched exactly what Rozen had just suspected.
In Central and South American Aztec mythology, there existed a god by that name.
A deity who governed life, harvest, culture, and weather—a benevolent god with many divine authorities, divine roles, and divinity itself.
This benevolent god denied the ritual of human sacrifice considered necessary in South American mythology. The name meant Feathered Serpent or Winged Serpent, and thus many referred to her as the Feathered Serpent God, deeply associated with serpents and dragons.
She had many legends as a symbol of good, once regarded as the Sun God, and even identified with the Morning Star—like Tlahuizcalpantecuhtli or the Mayan Kukulkan. She even appeared in the mortal world as a human king, leading mankind to build a flourishing civilization. She was truly one of the highest-ranking deities in Aztec mythology.
Yes.
She was a chief god-level deity, on par with Zeus from Greek myth, Odin from Norse myth, Indra from Indian myth, and Anu from Mesopotamian myth—the King of the Gods, the Father of the Gods.
"C'mon now, don't be so cold."
This chief god-level goddess now smiled brightly without any arrogance, and when her gaze settled on Rozen, her expression became even warmer and more radiant. Clapping her hands together, she cheerfully said:
"We're allies, aren't we? I thought I'd lend Gorgon a hand—what's strange about that?"
So said Quetzalcoatl.
"Is that so?" Kingu responded flatly, "If I recall correctly, we only formed a non-aggression pact—there was never any talk of being allies, much less helping each other."
Kingu's attitude was cold, even wary and guarded.
Gorgon also stared intently at Quetzalcoatl. Though not as openly hostile as Kingu, her rejection was clear.
Quetzalcoatl, on the other hand, seemed genuinely hurt by their reactions.
"You guys are being way too cautious of your big sis here. Sure, it was a non-aggression pact, but I've always wanted to chat with Gorgon! After all, I'm a serpent goddess too. If anything, I really want to be friends with her!"
As she said this, Quetzalcoatl looked toward the sky.
"You feel the same, don't you?"
Her words drew everyone's attention to another figure descending from the night sky.
"Don't get the wrong idea. I've never wanted to be friends with you lot. To me, you're just foreign gods—invaders, even."
So spoke the goddess descending from the heavens aboard her skyboat.
"Miss Ishtar!"
Mash called out in joy.
Ishtar looked over and, seeing Rozen and Mash unharmed, let out a breath of relief before tensing again.
Rozen looked at Ishtar, then at Quetzalcoatl, and finally at Gorgon.
From his wrist, Roman's tense voice rang out.
"So this is the full picture of the Three Goddess Alliance...?"
At that moment, all three goddesses of the Three Goddess Alliance present in this Singularity had gathered.
