Chapter 53: [53] Who Resembles God the Most
It was a giant hand dyed in gold, radiating divine brilliance. It extended from Roy's right shoulder, resembling both a dragon's claw and a God's finger, as if containing all mysteries and miracles. Merely seeing this hand made Marquis Voban's scalp tingle, his blood flow faster, and an unsettling dread rise within him.
This 'third hand' stretched its fingers, flexing its joints. With its movements, the surrounding space seemed to twist, shatter, and dissolve into an illusory river, as if this hand did not belong to this world but existed in a higher phase and dimension beyond human comprehension.
"In Christianity, God is the only one, and all miracles should be governed by the sole God. In Christianity, the right side represents 'equality.' The Son of God could heal all diseases with His right hand, and people use their right hands to baptize believers. All miracles of Christianity are contained within this right hand. Ah, to be honest, I don't fully understand it either, Marquis. You can simply think of this hand as the 'Hand of God.'"
Roy raised his right arm, and the 'third hand' on his shoulder mimicked his movement. As the golden giant hand waved, a power utterly incomprehensible to Marquis Voban surged within it.
"Boy, are you trying to tell me this hand is 'God's Right Hand'? That's impossible!! An omnipotent God like the Christian God cannot descend as a Heretic God. Under the existence of paradox, this world cannot sustain 'omniscience' and 'omnipotence.' This is the most basic knowledge among Campiones and Heretic Gods!"
"...Besides, the god you slew was Michael. How could you possibly summon such a miracle hand?"
Marquis Voban, transformed into the black dragon of the underworld, roared with disbelief. His draconic cry was filled with immense fury and... a trace of barely perceptible fear.
"If you insist on seeking an answer, Marquis, perhaps I can provide one—though I suspect it's not the answer you truly desire..."
"Michael has always been called 'He Who is Like God,' positioned at the right hand of the divine. Yet in biblical records, several titles attributed to Michael should not belong to an angel, for they are honors reserved for the Son of God. Thus, later scholars came to believe that Michael is in fact the 'Son of God.' Only this explanation justifies why Michael bears divine titles in the Bible, and only this proves he has not committed blasphemy."
Roy spoke unhurriedly, standing calmly as he watched Marquis Voban's growing agitation.
This was neither arrogance nor confidence on his part—it was simply undeniable truth. The moment Roy summoned this 'Holy Right,' the Marquis's defeat had already been sealed.
"Marquis, have you read the 'Dead Sea Scrolls'? In the 'Dead Sea Scrolls,' it is recorded that Michael, the Son of Light, once led the angelic legions as the Vice-Regent of Heaven and the Great Prince of Light, battling the legions of Belial, the Son of Darkness. The two fought fiercely for six days and nights, with three victories and three defeats each. On the seventh day, the Lord Himself intervened and effortlessly secured victory with the 'Light of the Right Hand.' Thus, I have named this ultimate authority 'Light of the Right'—the supreme power of Yahweh, the King of Kings and Lord of Hosts!"
Roy's 'third hand' on his right shoulder extended its index finger toward the Marquis of Voban, who had transformed into a dragon of the underworld, as he delivered his final judgment, "...Though it may be hard to believe, accept your defeat, Marquis! Before this right hand, all your struggles are meaningless. Before this right hand, victory shall inevitably be mine!"
In demonology, there is a theory that the true master of the Seventy-Two Pillar Demons of Solomon is none other than the Dark Son, Belial. In a mythological sense, the Seventy-Two Pillar Demons represent the pagan gods conquered by the God of the Bible. Regardless of which interpretation one follows, both merely prove that the so-called Seventy-Two Pillar Demons are but insignificant branches beneath the authority of the Bible.
"To dare declare victory simply by relying on some inexplicable right hand that appeared out of nowhere—how utterly absurd! Brat, today I shall let you taste my final hunt, to experience its cruelty and delight! To think that a mere Authority would grant you the audacity to claim possession of 'all miracles'!"
"Rooooooaaaaaaaaar—————!"
As the oldest Campione, the Marquis Voban had slain countless gods, treating "god-slaying" as nothing more than a game. How could he possibly be intimidated by Roy's words? For a cunning and ruthless wolf like him, only results mattered. Until the outcome was decided, he would never believe in mere speculation or deceitful words.
The power usurped from Inanna granted the Marquis an indescribable immortality. In his fury, an overwhelming surge of cursed energy gathered within the black dragon's body, transforming into draconic flames capable of reducing an entire city to ashes.
The dragon opened its maw, and annihilating flames of death descended from the heavens!
"An Authority, you say? To be honest, I have my doubts about whether this right hand of mine even falls under the category of an Authority."
Roy let out a soft sigh, muttering words no one else could hear.
At the same time, he began reciting:
"Do what thou wilt shall be the whole of the Law!"
"Book of the Law, Chapter 3, Verse 72—'I am the Lord of the Double Wand of Power; but my left hand is empty, for I have crushed an Universe with my right hand and naught remained!'"
"..."
Roy took a deep breath, lifting his gaze to meet the infernal flames capable of incinerating him down to his very cells, leaving not even ashes behind. He straightened his posture, like the Archangel Michael standing firm before the endless legions of fallen angels, before the Beast that defies Christ, before the Great Red Dragon Satan emerging from the depths of Hell. Even with all the "evil" right before him, he would not retreat—brave and unyielding.
"Beast777, I shall overcome the evils of mankind!"
The golden "third hand" slowly rose, forming a grasping motion as if it sought to seize the entire universe.
Then, Roy uttered the most famous incantation belonging to the Archangel Michael—
"I ask thee—Who is most like God!!!!"
From within the colossal golden hand, a radiance capable of illuminating the world burst forth—
To swing it is to destroy the enemy—thus, there is no need to seek power.
To swing it is to strike the target—thus, there is no need to seek speed.
To swing it is to transcend all things—thus, there is no need to seek distance.
To swing it is to obtain everything—thus, there is no need to seek wisdom.
This was the Light of the Right—an ability that disregarded distance, power, speed, wisdom, tactics, formations, endurance, timing, terrain, or any other conceivable factor. With but a single swing, it guaranteed "victory"!
