Multiverse's Holy Right

Chapter 54: [54] I, Roy Crowley, Am Not Cheating!

Analysis of the Holy Right's powers—

This is the power seized by the seventh king from Michael, divided into seven abilities, making it an exceptionally comprehensive and powerful authority. However, due to its overwhelming strength, there are numerous limitations. Analysis shows that the seventh king, Roy Crowley, is currently unable to engage in prolonged combat using this power.

Particular attention should be paid to the seventh ability of the Holy Right, "Light of the Right," which manifests as a 'golden right hand.' With just a wave, it defeated the ancient demon lord, Marquis Woban. This ability is suspected to originate from God Yahweh, encompassing all miracles of the Christian Church.

However, the omnipotent God cannot descend without obeying the will of God; this is the truth.

Thus, the true nature of this ability remains unclear, its power unknown, its conditions uncertain, and its analysis ambiguous—everything is shrouded in mystery.

[Note: Because the seventh king, Roy Crowley, possesses this ability, he is regarded by the followers of the Christian Church as the son of God who will save the world, receiving worship from various factions of the Vatican.]

...

"Ahhhhhhhhhhh————————"

The marquis's screams filled the air.

A brilliant light flashed, illuminating the entire world, and then everything returned to calm.

Defining the transformed black dragon of the underworld, Marquis Woban, as the 'enemy,' the 'Light of the Right' unleashed by the Holy Right was merely applied to the marquis.

This was still Shinjuku Gyoen in Tokyo; not a single blade of grass was trampled, not a single flower withered, and not a single patch of earth was disturbed. There was no cataclysmic force, nor any earth-shattering scene that could instill fear. After the flash of light, the once soaring black dragon of the underworld lay prostrate on the lawn, gasping heavily, utterly defeated.

"I can't understand... I can't understand!! What kind of power is this... It's simply like cheating, as if mocking our efforts, as if it were all a trick!"

The black dragon, lying on the ground, attempted to lift its body, but Marquis Voban had already lost all his magical power and stamina. He couldn't even perform the simple action of standing up. As Roy had said, he had already 'lost.'

A hoarse roar escaped his dragon mouth, reminiscent of the reluctant words of a defeated villain in a third-rate novel, completely devoid of the demeanor of a Demon King, starkly contrasting with his ancient title as the cunning Wolf King.

But it was no wonder that Marquis Voban uttered such words, losing the aura of a Demon King, resembling a powerless yet frantically shouting clown. He simply could not comprehend his own defeat.

He had done nothing; he clearly still had fighting strength, yet after that flash of light, he was utterly vanquished. He didn't even know how he had been attacked, by what he had been struck, how he had felt 'defeat' and pain, and how it had all ended up like this.

As Roy had said, when that hand appeared, victory was assured. When that hand waved gently, everything became meaningless. Yet, because it was so pure and simple, it was hard to believe.

'No, I, Roy Crowley, did not cheat!'

Roy looked at the somewhat deranged Marquis Voban and silently muttered a sarcastic remark in his heart.

To be honest, Roy himself found his 'third hand' incredible. This hand was definitely not something that could be granted by the authorities of this world. After much contemplation and consulting Aiwass, Roy came to a conclusion: the emergence of this 'right hand' was entirely due to Aleister Crowley's Book of 777.

It was the same book Roy had fully comprehended in a moment of enlightenment just before his death in the Toaru universe.

The Book of 777 was a grimoire recording Aleister's philosophy and thoughts—a grimoire even Aleister himself had never fully mastered. The book contained no spells or rituals, so comprehending it didn't instantly turn Roy into a powerful magician. Instead, it lingered in his mind and soul as a form of 'realm' and 'ideology.' Only after slaying Michael in this world and usurping his authority did the power of this book manifest, weaving for Roy this 'Holy Right'—a hand embodying all the miracles of Christianity.

Aleister Crowley despised Christianity, but his disdain stemmed from having reached a certain level of understanding of its biblical system. Precisely because he understood it, he could afford to scorn it. Aleister was no keyboard warrior who mocked what he didn't comprehend—his insights gave him the right to criticize.

The Book of 777 was Aleister's 'anti-Christian' work. Using '7,' Christianity's sacred number, as its title, it documented theories about the Tree of Evil and the Beast, making it utterly blasphemous. Yet, precisely because of this, the book contained the essence of Aleister's understanding of the Christian system. By comprehending it, Roy inherited all of Aleister's insights into Christianity and even elevated them, allowing him to weave this 'right hand' symbolizing Yahweh—a 'miracle' even Aleister himself could never attain.

Marquis Voban quickly regained his composure. He stopped his frenzied ranting, his tyrannical emerald draconic eyes fixed on Roy as the latter slowly approached.

The golden right hand remained attached to Roy's right shoulder, distorting everything it touched as if the material world couldn't accommodate its existence.

"Boy, though my defeat was baffling, I admit I lost. By that measure, I have no right to keep spouting arrogant words... That right hand of yours must have severe limitations, right? Otherwise, you could've just waved it from the start to defeat me—why bother fighting me like this?"

Marquis Voban stared intently at the Light of the Right on Roy's shoulder, as if trying to decipher its structure. But whether as a magician, a Campione, or even a Heretic God, none could possibly comprehend the existence of this hand.

"Indeed, this right hand has strong limitations. I have no intention of explaining its specific abilities to an enemy, but for a defeated opponent like you, Marquis, I should show proper respect... What I can tell you is that when you activated the authority Otherland's Dragon, it fulfilled the activation condition for this hand. Thus, defeat was your only possible outcome—what I possess is solely 'victory'!"

Roy had no interest in explaining his abilities to others. How many villains in anime had met their demise by smugly revealing their powers to the protagonist?

The statement that "using Otherland's Dragon is the condition to activate Light of the Right" left Marquis Voban with little to analyze. He merely sighed softly and said, "...In the end, I still fell into your trap, boy. I thought decisively using my authority would prevent me from capsizing in a ditch, yet it turned out to be the very trigger for my defeat."

Marquis Voban's voice carried a hint of self-mockery.

'And so, decisiveness leads to free losses!'

Roy sighed inwardly once more, silently quipping to himself.
