Chapter 125: Savior from Enemy, but how?
Egrith and Faceless had both been walking around in the Capital City of Kemet when they noticed a commotion. Some people were talking about getting kilograms worth of Gold for throwing things into a flying door and answering questions.
Curious, they also followed and now, they were here—infront of the magic door that could make the Impossible Possible.
"Someone seems to have wanted to monopolize this for themselves," Faceless said. "A smart person. This door truly is miraculous!"
Egrith said coldly, "I think I know who that person is. He is the one that annihilated my family."
"An enemy?"
"You could say that. I will kill him next time I see him."
"Even you couldn't kill him? Even the Lord Guardian is wary of you…"
"I was not this strong then. I just inherited all of Kemet recently and turned it into my Territory. Before that, I was just a pathetic prince with a big ego."
"I see!" Faceless wrapped its hand around Egrith's arm.
"Come on, let's try the Door."
Faceless nodded and a pair of fleshy wings popped out of its back, it brought Egrith near the door by flight.
The Door was silent until Egrith calmly tore off his own arm and threw it into the Door.
"Oi, oi, that Sett guy truly is in deep shit now, this Uncle Door knows he is fucked. Anyway, to think that he has enemies like you—he really is having a death wish. Who told him to enter an A-tier Tomb while he was so weak?"
"Indeed, the one who monopolized you is Sett and his gang as I thought," Egrith said matter of factly. "Tell me, where is he?"
"Oi brat, I am the one who asks the questions."
Egrith raised his eyebrow. Then nodded. "Ask away."
First question—right answer with a single word.
Second question—right answer with a single word.
Third question—right answer with a single word.
"Now I am terrified. Is your world full of people like you and Sett?"
Uncle Door threw a dark hand to Egrith. He caught it and simply placed it near his stump—a new, terrifying black arm grew there. "I had a feeling that this would synergize well with my Axiom of Dimensions."
"Well, you have unlocked the True Form of your Axiom, so your body is attuned to it. So when I upgraded your hands, they became part of that Axiom itself."
Egrith looked at his hands in fascination. "This is almost as if I activated my True Form again, but only partially."
When an Axiom user gained enough Territory to reach Tier 2, they will gain their True Form. When they enter that True Form, they will have a much higher control over their Axiom, and will almost become one with the Axiom itself.
And Egrith had already unlocked his True Form, and something beyond mere True Forms. But still, using True Forms was exhausting and his True Form, especially, did not last long. It could only be used for a short time.
But his hand seemed as if it was constantly in the True Form without exhausting him.
"This is good. Now, Door. Answer my questions—you said you can make the impossible possible?"
"Yes."
"Then tell me how someone born inside a Tomb can leave the Tomb."
Uncle Door laughed. "That is simple! You just need a Pocket Dimension inside you that can act as a Tomb on its own. For example, that Sett brat has a Pocket Dimension in his body."
Egrith's expression brightened. So it truly was not impossible!
He could begin his life anew in the "Real" world with all his new power?
He grinned. "Oh? Can I steal that pocket dimension from him?"
"Not really. That thing is integral to Sett—it is his Innate Technique. Art. Magic. Pathway. It is like his own soul, no one else can have it. It was probably a wild wonder how he ended up awakening it."
"Then how can I get a Pocket Dimension for myself? No, what is the easiest, realest way for me to leave this Tomb?"
"Well, I already answered your question. Only one question per person."
"Faceless, throw something in."
"I've been waiting!"
Faceless flew forward and just simply extracted a white core from its own body.
"Oh a Life Vessel!" Uncle Door exclaimed. "To think that I would see a creature like you in this world."
"Shut up and just upgrade it, Door!"
Faceless threw it in.
It easily answered all three questions.
Then, Egrith could ask it to make the impossible possible again.
"How can I leave this Tomb, alive and easy?"
"There is a simple way. Just ask Sett to help you. He has a Pocket Dimension, if he allows you to enter inside and then lets you out in other Tombs, you can achieve something like partial freedom.
"Of course, he would first have to upgrade his Inner Tomb to accommodate living beings in there."
Egrith frowned with distaste.
"Anyway, I think Sett already knows that you were here. He had some Tomb Slaves here, and the moment you appeared, they began leaving one by one. The mortals around those slaves wrote whatever happened here in letters. He must know everything that happened here.
"And he himself is digging his own grave by deliberately messing with Musson. Tsk, tsk. What a reckles brat."
But Sett did not seem like the reckless, hotblooded sort.
Was he planning something?
What was the full picture?
Egrith looked around. Then, his figure transformed into something that appeared completely black, with a whole universe floating inside him.
Then, he vanished.
***
A few minutes before Musson's appearance.
Sett suddenly made all his Tomb Slaves appear and surround the Monkey King. It was helpless under his calm threats.
Just then, Sett frowned imperceptibly.
A Tomb Slave entered the Tomb from outside and handed him a letter.
He looked through it and his frown deepened. Then, he smirked.
Well, if Egrith spoke to the Door, he must have learned that I might be one of the ways he can escape. Since he is grown so much stronger, he must have used the Kemet Territory. But how did he do that without an Axiom?
Sett came to an abrupt realization.
Egrith was the ancestor of the Ramses Family.
The First Pharaoh of Ramses.
The man who changed Kemet to Ehyut.
It all suddenly made sense.
Even the name Ehyut and Egrith were so similar!
Then is he the son of a God?
What is truly happening here? If he had an Axiom all along, why didn't he awaken it early in life?
Something big is going on in the shadows.
The First Axiom Holder in the history of mankind.
He is more important than he seemed.
Interesting.
Even he, for all his intelligence, hadn't expected for Musson to appear and make him kneel. That was out of his expectations.
After all, the Monkey was merely in a C-tier Tomb.
Who would expect a God to appear?
And that had been the cost of his arrogance.
But luckily for him, the moment he was about to face the consequences, he ended up meeting the familiar face of his enemy: Egrith. He must be close.
It had been a gamble.
But who would have thought Egrith could truly save him?
But now, Sett appeared in a dark room, facing a coldly smirking Egrith. Zainah and Zarah were ejected out of his Inner Tomb, both quickly standing behind him.
"We meet again," Egrith said. "But now, I am the stronger one."
