Chapter 132: The Long Lasting Dream
Sett clenched his hand around the white core inside Faceless.
At the same time, he looked towards the void. He could feel a sensation—a sort of resonance that called to him from a far distance away.
Ah…
He felt emotions rile up through him. He had roamed through hundreds of thousands of Tombs in search of another person with the same Axiom as himself. He had dreamed of that event days in and nights out.
He had wished for someone like that to appear even in his dreams.
But he had never, ever found someone like that in any tomb. In any piece of history.
One Axiom could only exist inside one person at a time, unless that person dies, no one else would gain the same Axiom. Yet, if one could find someone with the same Axiom as themselves inside a Tomb, they could kill that doppelganger to gain all the powers of the other one.
Just like Sett's mother, Neilara Ramses, once did.
One can become a person with strength beyond the norm if one did that.
To become like her, to one day surpass her. Sett felt even more emotional. Now, that was possible. In the distance, somewhere out there—someone resonated with him. The connection had even ignored the dimensional barrier between the Kemet Tomb and the real world.
Or perhaps, the connection just entered through the A-tier Tomb's entrance.
Whatever it was, Sett felt a burst of passion.
The feeling of the other side's Axiom. Hm—the power of Reincarnation is rich. Almost as strong as me at my peak.
Only a few people in the entire world could have that much strength.
A person appeared in Sett's mind immediately.
Lon Ronsales Yuhuem.
The current Pharaoh of Ehyut. Sett hadn't heard too much about the guy—everything he knew, he had learned from Shining White when they had briefly discussed the matter in the City of Burrhen.
But other than that, Sett knew one thing about the Pharaoh.
He had control over Ghosts.
After all, the Pharaoh planned to dominate the Burrhen City using an army of Ghosts.
And Sett, if anyone, knew one skill that was close to Ghosts in his own arsenal: Murder Soul ability. It let him transform all the people he murdered into evil spirits, something like Ghosts. But Sett himself did not have any control over them.
That was why he hated that Ability.
What if the other user of the Axiom's situation was different?
Then they would obviously be able to control those malevolent spirits.
Sett took a deep breath.
Lon Ranseles Yuhuem.
Good. Good. GOOD!
Then, he chuckled and looked at the white core in his hand. This thing had an enormous amount of Territory sealed inside it!
And it was in an easy to absorb state.
Yet, it would still take hours to truly refine that territory.
[Discovered 170 kilometers of Unrefined Territory, would you like to mark it with your aura for later refinement?]
No one would be able to steal this Territory after he marked it.
He would still have to refine it to use that power, but even this unrefined Territory should stabilize his fracturing Mental Space.
Yes, mark it.
[Territory Expanding]
Due to his sheer will, he refined some bit of the unrefined Territory into his own in seconds.
[Refined Territory: 40 kilometers]
[Unrefined Territory: 168 kilometers]
Sett immediately felt much better. He wished he could absorb the entire Territory into his own Inner Tomb, but sadly—that was impossible for now.
Why?
Because he had to refine it first.
Then, Sett looked at the white core again.
He did not know what this thing was used for or what good it was, but it did seem useful. Sett absorbed it into his Inner Tomb.
He placed a hand on the corpse of Faceless—who was now a bloodied mess.
Limitless Magic—Tomb Slave!
To Sett's surprise, he felt something leave the white core he had just sent into his own Inner Tomb. The thing that had appeared was none other than a Faceless soul with the face of Egrith branded on its chest.
The soul then fell into Faceless' corpse and it slowly raised into its foot.
Sett watched curiously. He realised that it was only now that Faceless truly died.
[Limitless Evolution Art progressed…]
For now, Sett ignored the messages.
It kneeled in reverence. Now looking like Egrith.
"My lord," it said softly.
Sett raised an eyebrow. "You have intelligence?"
He felt an instinctual control over the creature's life and death in his heart. This was his Tomb Slave—he had complete control over it. Yet, it had intelligence and free will?
Was its 'free' will mentally twisted to be completely loyal?
Sett found it curious.
"Yes, my lord, I am as intelligent as I was when I was alive."
"Can you use Egrith's Dimensional Abilties?" Sett asked. "I am about to become really exhausted and this Tomb's Lord Guardian should be headed towards this place. I need to leave and rest."
Faceless shook its head. "My Lord, all my skills—including the ability to manipulate my own flesh are inside the Life Vessel core you took away from me. Without it, I am just a normal Tier 4 being with a physical body stronger than 1000 tons."
Sett's face changed. "Oh, that core has all the skills? Can I use it?"
"My Lord, you can use it but you would need a body at least ten times stronger than me to bear its energy. That is only suitable for my species. Any other species that wants to use it will need to be ten times stronger physically or they will become crushed meat."
That meant Sett needed 10,000 tons of strength to use the core.
Yet, the prospect of being able to one day wield that Dimensional Axiom made Sett almost drool. This was too much of a surprise. It almost felt unreal.
Sett sighed and threw the Core at Faceless for now.
Faceless absorbed it gracefully. "I now have all the skills, but not enough Territory to charge these skills."
Sett gave it access to 10 kilometers of his own Territory.
After all, normal people only needed 10 kilometers to use their True Form.
Sett needed much more than that only because of his Axiom being too strong!
Faceless used its dark dimensional hand to tear open a gateway into the real world.
Sett, sighing in relief, pulled all his Tomb Slaves back into his Inner Tomb. Then, he waited for Zarah and Zainah to come close before throwing them out.
Sett looked at the Kemet Tomb again.
I will return soon enough.
He was not yet ready to leave the Cloud Door here. That thing was too useful—Of course Sett planned to take it for himself. Since he could put it in his Inner Tomb, it was not hard to take away Tomb Tech into the real world anymore.
That was a problem of the past!
Then, Sett himself also walked out.
Faceless could not follow. After all, it was a Tomb Slave and they could not enter the real world. Instead, Faceless entered Sett's Inner Tomb.
The Dimensional gateway they had opened closed out.
Sett breathed in a long breath.
Then, his Deathless Form ended.
His blue skin faded back into normal olive human skin. His eyes regrew. His body became normal.
He became human.
Though, something differed drastically from his earlier appearance.
Yet, he had no time to check that.
Just before Darkness swallowed him, Sett let the Monkey out and ordered: "Monkey, keep me and the sisters completely safe at all cost."
Then, darkness.
