Mushoku Tensei: Reincarnated As a Migurd

(Rokvel's POV)

(Month after the start of magic training)

- Mom, dad, I have to tell you something.

- What is it?

- For the past month I have been training my Magic skills.

- Well, son, to be honest we alrady knew about it.

- How?

- I have found the magic part in your book when you were asleep. When you started going out from home with the book, we already knew.

My mother said with rather easy tone, she isn't mad or worried and I don't know what shoud I say. I kept that in secret for a long time now.

- So, what do you think about it?

- Why do you even do that, Rokvel? For what? I don't think magic is that important to study it in such a young age and with such a intensivity. You were training for the past month everyday.

My father said with curiosity and a little bit of frustraction in his voice.

- I wanted to find something fun to do. Magic sounded cool to me and it turns out I am quite good in it. So I wanted to practice it more. 

- Rokvel, I know we said that we will support you in any decision you make, but I don't think we are able to help you somehow with magic.

Mother said with hopeless expresion.

- Well, I just wanted to tell you because I didn't want to hide something like that from you for a long time. I don't really need any help.

- Eh? Really? You don't need any help?

My parents said in unision.

- In fact we thought you will ask about a teacher or a magic school...

My father said with relief. They have a magic school aswell? So it's really not that common to use magic, if there are schools for it.

- Would you let me go to the school like that?

- Obviously no, you are way too young and we don't have enough money for it. Maybe we will think about it when you will be older.

- How old exactly?

- What? Are you this unhappy here?

He said with a smirk.

- No, that's not it. I'm happy, but I want to see the world too.

- Well, that was almost certain. When you will turn 14 we will let you decide on your own, you will be almost adult then. Until then, you will stay here in our village. 

- Alright, but don't think that I don't like be with you, ok? I just want to see other places too.

My mother smiled at that words and looked at me warmly.

- Ofcourse son, we know that, and we love you for that.

In deserted place, a young boy with shoulder lenght, blue hair is creating a mass of fire sparks around the area of 20 meters around him.

After the sparks fill the area almost completly, they boy raised his hands and suddenly the sparks start's gather infront of him and form a massive ball of fire.

When the boy raised his arms highier, the phillar of flames starts flying up.

After a while, the fireball is on about the hight of 100 meters. Then, the boy clasped his hand together and giant fireball exploded on small sparks again.

- Huff, not bad, but not enough.

While little sparks of fire are slowly droping down, the boy raised his hand again.

- Water.

The sparks of fire changed into droplets of water. Just when they were about to hit the ground, the mage raised his two fingers and suddenly the water stopped midair, inches from the ground.

Then, he gathered the droplets into one big waterball infront of him. 

He make the water boil by adding a high temperature from fire magic. When water starts evaporating, he can feel the mana from the waterball lifting to the air. 

The boy cleched his fist.

- Earth.

The waterball started turning into a big stone, and when boy dropped his hand, the stone turned into the sand and hit the ground.

- I've got enough for today. It's about time to go home. 

It's been full 4 years since Vincent arrived in this world and reborn as Rokvel. In that time, he mastered Attacking magic up to advanced level and fire magic to saint, healing magic to intermediate level, without the need for an incantation. It means he can no longer advance in ranking, as he don't know any stronger spell than saint rank fire spell, that the mage described in his book.

Although, Rokvel noticed if he use a normal water canon, but pump more mana in it than in any advanced level spell and add some upgrades, like turn up water pressure, it can match an advanced rank spell destructiveness and become one, at least according to magic book standards.

(Rokvel's POV)

While I was coming back home, like always since the day I stopped hiding my magic skills, everyone are avoiding me. They all are getting out of my way and turning they gaze somwhere elsewhen I look at their direction.

They are scared of me, I'm sure of it. Not only kids, adults are as more afraid, maybe even more. 

Because of it, the only people that I speak with are my parents.

Even the old chief of the village turned his back at me, even though he said he will help me as much as he can.

It's because when he ask me to show him and the other villagers my magic abilities.

I wanted to do my best and accidently scared them off using saint rank fire spell. In the other words...

I fucked up. Really bad.

Because not only I'm avoided, but my parents take a hit too.

My family friends stoped visiting us and when we go to vistit them, their door are always locked. We lose all our friendships because of it.

And I don't know I will be able to fix that, but I will surely try!

I just need a good opurtunity to show them that I am their protector, not a torturer.

To be honest, if I will not be able to convice them to me, I will consider abonding this place.

I know that fear can transform into hate and I don't want my family to take it.

Anyway, it seems that Hitogami's advice was very helpfull. I think I am already able to cast not a one but even two King's rank spells. I can cast eight Saint level spells before I run out of mana.

And year ago I couldn't afford for a single Water cannon. I wonder, how much mana I will have when I turn 10. Because at this rate of growth, I will be a God level mage, or maybe it will slow down after some time. I don't have a clue.

He didn't contact me since my first use of magic, but he said he will and then I will ask more than before.

For now, my objective is clear. Be better than yesterday.
