My Card Girl's Infinite Evolution

Chapter 81: Chapter 81: Ruthless Annihilation of the Black Tiger Gang

"I will. Thanks for your advice," Luo Sheng replied politely.

After dismissing the other person, he pinched Dongfang Muqing's chubby little cheeks.

"You've got quite a few fans, don't you?"

"Fans?" Dongfang Muqing tilted her head, confused, and rubbed her smooth, jade-like face. "Ouch, ouch, why are you mad? I'm earning money to support you! You should treat me better!"

She shook her little green ponytails and retorted, "And by the way, I'm not your pet! I'm saving up money to take care of you, so you should be nicer to me."

"Ah, right, right," Luo Sheng replied dismissively.

Aside from her top-tier musical skills, this girl had the brain of a bird—one that had somehow soaked up an entire ocean.

Luo Sheng summoned Acoley, asking her to use high-temperature flames to reduce the corpses to ashes.

At that moment, Dongfang Muqing pouted and lowered her head. "Sorry, if I hadn't acted impulsively, this wouldn't have happened."

"Do you realize your mistake now?"

"Yes, I do. I'll listen to you from now on. If you say east, I won't even think about heading north!"

"Here, take this as a token," Luo Sheng said, pulling out the [Tears of the Fairy] card. As it materialized in his palm, it transformed into a crystalline, teardrop-shaped gem that exuded a faint, ethereal aura.

Dongfang Muqing's eyes lit up, brimming with joy and fascination.

"It might not look valuable, but I love it!"

This girl was seriously asking for it! Luo Sheng gave her an exasperated look.

She carefully took the Tears of the Fairy and eagerly began refining it, merging it with her konghou harp.

However, the fusion process required some time.

An Hour Later

On the street, civilians shouted in terror:

"The Black Tiger Gang is here again!"

"Run! This place is dangerous!"

In just moments, the streets cleared out. A group of armed martial artists approached from the other end, led by a burly man carrying a thick iron chain.

He was the third-in-command of the Black Tiger Gang, a gang so domineering that even the city lord had to show them respect.

Having lost many members and failed an important mission, they'd been reprimanded harshly by the young master of the Nangong family. In retaliation, they dispatched their third-in-command to deal with the situation.

Luo Sheng, sensing their presence, stood in the street, blocking their path. Dongfang Muqing, inside a nearby teahouse, was still refining the Tears of the Fairy and could not be disturbed. Luo Sheng stood guard for her.

The third-in-command, clad in purple brocade, strutted arrogantly, accompanied by a scarred man missing an arm.

"There he is! He's the one who killed our brothers and chopped off my arm!" the scarred man shouted, pointing at Luo Sheng.

The third-in-command sneered, "You've got guts, kid, daring to mess with the Black Tiger Gang in Lingshuang City."

Luo Sheng glanced at them indifferently, raising an eyebrow. "So, no room for negotiation?"

"Negotiate? Haha! Of course, we can talk—but only if you kill yourself and hand over that girl. Then, we'll let bygones be bygones," the third-in-command said mockingly.

Unaware of the earlier events and blinded by confidence in his gang's strength, he tightened his grip on his iron chain, ready to attack.

Unfortunately, he was a step too slow.

Luo Sheng unleashed [Blizzard Gale], rapidly lowering the temperature on the street. Ice spread instantly, freezing most of the Black Tiger Gang members in place.

"Cheap tricks!" the third-in-command scoffed.

As the spell activated, he leapt into the air, swinging his iron chain crackling with purple lightning. A practitioner of thunder techniques, he was among the gang's strongest fighters, a force to be reckoned with.

The lightning-charged chain hurtled toward Luo Sheng's face.

But in the next instant, the chain was frozen solid by an ice barrier, and crimson ribbons surged from beneath the icy surface, binding him tightly.

A golden flash followed, and the third-in-command's head was severed cleanly.

Beside him stood a woman in a crimson dress, her features flawless and otherworldly, exuding a light, ethereal aura. Despite her beauty, the onlookers felt only fear.

"The third-in-command is dead!"

"What kind of monster is that?"

"Run!"

Panic spread as they realized their once-mighty leader had been effortlessly slain.

As they tried to flee, a delicate, fair-skinned Snow Maiden appeared behind them.

Those who attempted to break through her encirclement were met with a barrage of ice spikes, as relentless as a machine gun.

"Ahhhh!"

Screams filled the air as bodies fell one by one. Finally, Acoley's blazing inferno consumed the remaining gang members, leaving no survivors.

In the world of Card Masters, where battles against invaders were the norm, showing mercy often meant inviting death. Kindness was a cruel indulgence.

When the civilians finally emerged from their homes, they found the street restored to its original state. No buildings were damaged, and there were no signs of destruction on the ground.

"That was quick!"

"Could it be that they negotiated peace?"

"Impossible! We heard the screams from miles away."

Speculation ran wild until a child boldly declared, "That gentleman's maid did it! She wiped out the Black Tiger Gang in just five breaths!"

The crowd was stunned, though they mistakenly assumed Bai Moxue was Luo Sheng's maid.

Luo Sheng didn't bother correcting them.

Inside the teahouse, he watched as Dongfang Muqing completed the fusion of the Tears of the Fairy with her konghou harp. Over two hours, the harp's bronze hue transformed into a translucent blue glow, exuding an enchanting, otherworldly brilliance.

"Thank you, Luo Sheng! I can feel that the konghou has surpassed the state it was in when my grandfather gifted it to me. I might even be able to play music that can move the heavens."

Dongfang Muqing's cheeks flushed, her eyes sparkling with vitality.

"How should I thank you?" she asked.

"Marry me?" Luo Sheng teased.

"No way! Grandpa said Qingluans take a hundred years of companionship to truly bond before becoming a pair," Dongfang Muqing replied earnestly.

Luo Sheng chuckled, "But I'm human—if you wait that long, I'll be an old man by the time we're married."

"Hmm, good point… Don't worry! I'll earn enough to buy you longevity pills!" she said, full of determination.

Patting her little ponytails, Luo Sheng smiled. "Alright, let's go. We've stirred up too much trouble here."

"Sure, but can we visit my home first?" Dongfang Muqing asked, tugging at his arm.
