Chapter 116: The peak of first floor II

"normal Dungeons won't give us any reward" Leon said as Roselia nodded.

"I hope we juts get this fast enough" roman said as they continued to move while leon used his Sage eyes to look out for traps and others killed the Monsters.

After half an hour they reached an grad door " that is definitely the boss chamber" Leon said as Roselia and Roman nodded.

The final chamber was a grand, domed hall with a central altar shrouded in shadows. From the darkness emerged the Wailing Wraith, a spectral figure wreathed in flowing black robes, its hollow eyes glowing with an otherworldly light.

Its haunting voice echoed through the chamber. "You dare disturb my eternal vigil?"

The Wraith's attacks were relentless, combining high-speed teleportation with soul-draining projectiles. The air grew heavy as it unleashed waves of despair, causing Leon's movements to slow.

"Focus!" Roselia shouted, casting a cleansing spell that dispelled the oppressive aura.

Leon gritted his teeth, his blade crackling with energy as he activated Stormbreaker, summoning bolts of lightning that illuminated the chamber. The Wraith screeched, retreating momentarily before retaliating with a massive explosion of spectral energy.

Dodging the attack, Leon closed the distance, landing blow after blow. Each strike grew stronger as the Wraith's power waned until, finally, with one last swing of his sword, he banished the Wraith in a burst of light.

As the Wraith dissolved, a pile of resources materialized in its place. "Now that's what I'm talking about," Leon said, sitting down on the spot to absorb the Sources. His level climbed steadily until he reached Level 73.

"Four levels. Not bad," he remarked with a satisfied grin as he stood up. Stretching briefly, he turned to the others and said, "Let's head to the next one."

Without a word, Roselia and Roman silently followed behind, their expressions calm yet focused.

Dungeon Dive: The Crystal Caverns

The Crystal Caverns shimmered with radiant hues, their walls lined with massive, glowing crystals that pulsed with energy. The cavern was beautiful yet deadly, with rivers of molten mana and razor-sharp crystal formations scattered throughout.

The trek to the boss was grueling, requiring precise movement to avoid the volatile mana streams. Leon used Frost Nova to create temporary bridges of ice, allowing the group to traverse safely.

Boss: The Crystal Titan

At the heart of the cavern stood the Crystal Titan, a massive golem made entirely of gleaming gemstones. Its body refracted light, creating dazzling, disorienting patterns. Discover more stories at My Virtual Library Empire

The Titan raised its colossal arms, slamming them into the ground and sending shockwaves through the cavern. Shards of crystal erupted from the floor, forcing Leon to constantly stay on the move.

"Inferno Wave!"

Leon's fiery attack scorched the Titan's surface, melting parts of its crystalline armor.

The Titan retaliated with a devastating beam of pure light, narrowly missing Leon as he dove behind a crystal formation. Timing his counterattack perfectly, Leon activated Sword of Execution, cleaving through the Titan's core.

The golem shattered, its remains scattering across the cavern in a spectacular display of light.

Dungeon Dive: The Obsidian Fortress

The final dungeon of the day was the Obsidian Fortress, a towering structure built from pitch-black stone and surrounded by a moat of liquid fire. The interior was a labyrinth of molten corridors, where even the air burned with oppressive heat.

Leon led the group through the fortress, dodging streams of lava and navigating precarious ledges. The journey was long and arduous, testing their endurance as they ascended to the summit.

Boss: The Infernal Lord

At the peak of the fortress awaited the Infernal Lord, a towering demon clad in fiery armor, wielding a molten greatsword. Its very presence radiated heat, causing the air to shimmer.

The battle was fierce, with the Infernal Lord unleashing waves of fire and molten eruptions. Leon relied on Shadow Step to avoid the demon's deadly swings while countering with precise strikes.

Roselia provided continuous support, casting healing spells and protective barriers. Roman joined the fray, using his shield to block the demon's devastating attacks.

After an intense battle, Leon delivered the final blow, his blade piercing the Infernal Lord's heart. The demon let out an earth-shaking roar before collapsing, its fiery form dissipating into embers.

Exhausted but victorious, the group stood in silence, taking in the aftermath of their conquest.

While Leon sat on the ground as he absorbed the Sources, reaching the peak of 1st floor and even beyond, he is now level 83.

"Next stop," Leon said, looking toward the horizon, "the True Undead King."

"Let's head back to the first dungeon we cleared on this floor," Leon added as Roselia nodded in agreement.

The first dungeon dive they completed was the one ruled by the Red Skeleton King. Within its depths, they had discovered a hidden chamber belonging to the Alchemist King, who had given them a quest tied to the True Skeleton King. However, to accept that quest, they needed to reach the peak of the first floor—Level 80.

Now, having grown stronger, they were heading back to acquire the map that would lead them to the hidden True Skeleton King.

They camped outside for the night, and at dawn, they set off toward the lair of the Red Skeleton King.

"The place where we started our adventure," Leon said with a faint smile, a hint of nostalgia in his tone.

"Let's go inside," he added, stepping toward the dungeon's entrance. Roselia nodded, following him closely.

Inside, Leon summoned a Dark Wraith—a spectral servant bound to his will. The creature floated ahead, clearing the path of weaker monsters. Skeleton soldiers, ghouls, and lesser undead fell effortlessly to the wraith's shadowy claws.

"These monsters are barely worth our time," Leon muttered as they advanced deeper into the dungeon. The Dark Wraith continued to destroy everything in their path, ensuring the group could move swiftly.

Finally, they reached the boss chamber. The air grew heavy, the oppressive aura of the Red Skeleton King filling the space. The towering skeletal figure stood in the center of the room, its crimson eyes glowing with malice as it tightened its grip on a massive bone scythe.

"Looks like he's been waiting for us," Leon said, motioning the Wraith to kill him.
