Chapter 533: The Dragon Race Bloodline
The dragon ancestor could hardly believe what he was seeing.
The avatar that appeared behind Leon was unmistakably a manifestation of the dragon race. But that wasn't all—he could also sense dragon bloodline within Leon!
Even more shocking, the bloodline was incredibly pure—far purer than his own.
The only one who had ever given him such a feeling was his granddaughter, who had inherited the power of the first dragon progenitor.
Did that mean the opportunity Leon had received was similar to Athena's?
"How is that possible? Did the first dragon progenitor grant him our bloodline?" The dragon ancestor took a deep breath, his face clouded with fear.
The human race, demon race, and dragon race were fundamentally different.
From the moment of birth, they were fated never to belong to one another—just like a human couldn't become a demon, or the other way around.
Forcing such a change was nothing short of defying fate.
Yet now, Leon—a human—possessed the bloodline of the dragon race, something that should have been impossible.
As much as he wanted to deny it, the truth stood clearly before his eyes.
"Dragon power?" Miranda covered her mouth with her hand, eyes wide as she stared at the golden dragon avatar behind Leon.
She never imagined that the new power her master had gained would be dragon power.
Even more shocking, the golden dragon's aura was overwhelming—its pressure surpassed even that of the dragon ancestor!
Among them, only Athena remained calm. She crossed her arms over her chest, a smile tugging at her lips, barely concealed.
"As expected. Altair—no, the first progenitor of the dragon race—must have given Leon something extraordinary," she whispered with admiration.
Even after purifying her bloodline to a level equal to Altair's, she could still feel the faint pressure radiating from the golden dragon avatar behind Leon.
*Roar!*
The golden dragon roared again, its voice shaking every wall in the room.
But more than that, its roar echoed through the souls of everyone present—even the dragon ancestor and Athena.
Moments later, the golden dragon fell silent. Its form slowly dissolved into glowing particles that scattered through the air.
The powerful aura around Leon faded as well. He clenched his fists, a faint smile on his face.
"How's my new power? Pretty great, right?" He asked, turning toward the dragon ancestor and Miranda—only to be met with stunned expressions.
Both of them stood frozen, still overwhelmed by what they had witnessed. After a moment, they exchanged glances and let out resigned smiles.
"It's truly incredible… absolutely amazing," the dragon ancestor replied with a stiff nod.
He placed a hand on Leon's shoulder, applying just a bit of pressure. "I never imagined you'd obtain the bloodline of our dragon race. Tell me… did the first progenitor really grant it to you?"
Although he already knew the answer, he still wanted to hear it confirmed.
Leon didn't deny it. He nodded slowly. "Yes. She was the one who gave it to me. But the bloodline she gave me isn't complete—it's only half."
The dragon ancestor smiled broadly. "Even if it's only half, it's still extraordinary. You may not realize it, but it's impossible for other races to possess a bloodline from a different race. Unless born through interbreeding, it simply can't happen. This truly is a blessing."
He understood why the first dragon progenitor had chosen to give Leon only half of the dragon bloodline—so Leon could remain human.
After all, Leon was a pure human. If he had been given the full bloodline, he would have become a dragon in both body and soul.
And that could have led to serious consequences. It wasn't impossible that such overwhelming power might backfire instead of serving him.
For that reason, the dragon ancestor fully agreed with the progenitor's decision.
Leon didn't argue with his reasoning. There were no ancient records or texts that ever mentioned someone transforming into a member of another race.
Unless they were born through interbreeding—like Charlotte, Iris, and Fiona. But even then, the chances of success were incredibly low—barely one percent, if not less.
Their birth, in truth, was nothing short of a miracle.
That was also why Leon hadn't believed Liliana at first, when she told him the girls were his daughters.
"By the way, Master," Miranda called out, "how does it feel after receiving the dragon bloodline? Did your body undergo any major changes?"
"Yeah, there's a huge difference." Leon smiled faintly, clenching his fists. "My physical strength has increased a hundredfold. I'm pretty sure I could crush a boulder with just a light punch."
Before this, five months of intense training had already increased his strength several times over.
That alone had been enough to let him demolish a house with a single blow.
Of course, it was all thanks to the dragon ancestor opening his muscle points.
With such rigorous training, his strength had steadily climbed.
But now, after receiving the dragon bloodline from Altair, the leap in power was overwhelming.
Forget a house—Leon was confident he could destroy the palace he stood in with just two strikes.
"Wow!" Miranda's eyes sparkled with admiration. "As expected of my master."
Seeing her fangirl-like reaction, Leon couldn't help but laugh. He gently patted her head. "Of course. I'm your master—I'm supposed to be awesome, right?"
Athena simply rolled her eyes at their affectionate display.
Without hesitation, she stepped forward, separated the two, and wrapped her arms around Leon's.
Miranda frowned at Athena's sudden move and was about to say something, but Athena cut her off first.
"Ancestor, are you planning to continue training Leon after this?"
The dragon ancestor chuckled softly and shook his head. "No, that won't be necessary. I've already passed on everything I can. Any further training would bring little benefit."
He then turned to Leon, his expression growing serious. "Fated One, your true journey is about to begin. Be ready."
"Don't worry, Dragon Ancestor. I'll be ready," Leon replied firmly.
By now, his strength had grown far beyond what it had been when he first arrived in Eryuentium.
Naturally, so had his confidence—to the point where he now believed he could face the hidden race without hesitation.
The dragon ancestor nodded in approval. Then, a faint, knowing smile tugged at the corners of his lips.
"By the way, since you've been through such intense training here in Eryuentium, how about we test the results? What do you say?"
Leon paused briefly, then let out a laugh, his eyes gleaming with excitement. "Of course! Let's do it!"
