"Hokage-sama, Kuragami is leading a squad of the Konoha Military Police Force toward the Shimura Clan's territory."

"What?" Hiruzen Sarutobi's eyelid twitches; he couldn't immediately figure out what Kuragami Uchiha was planning.

"Hokage-sama, allow me to go. I'll try to stop him." 

At that moment, Itachi Uchiha, who was on duty today, stepped out from the shadows, knelt on one knee, and requested permission.

Sarutobi stared at Itachi for a long time before sighing. "I'm counting on you, Itachi. The village cannot afford internal strife anymore."

After receiving the orders, Itachi swiftly moved through Konoha's buildings and quickly arrived at the outskirts of the Shimura Clan's territory. 

At the same time, Kuragami Uchiha and his group, who had been moving at a more leisurely pace, had also just arrived.

The entire Shimura Clan's territory was draped in white mourning cloth, and somber funeral music played in the distance.

At this time, standing before Itachi was Kuragami, accompanied by the Konoha Military Police Force. Although Itachi wore a mask, his stature was unmistakable. Every ninja in the village knew who the only underage member of the Anbu was.

"Itachi, we are here to summon certain members of the Shimura Clan for questioning at the Konoha Military Police Force. Were you sent by Hokage-sama to assist us?" Kuragami asked.

Realizing his identity had been exposed, Itachi no longer concealed himself and removed his mask.

"Kuragami, go back. The village cannot afford more internal conflict."

"So, you're here to stop me?" Kuragami's gaze turned cold. "Is that your decision or Hokage-sama?"

By moving slowly through the village with such a large group, Kuragami had deliberately drawn attention. Given the location of the Shimura Clan's territory in a busy district, a crowd of curious villagers had already gathered to watch.

"Danzo Shimura desecrated the first Hokage's remains and attacked a fellow Konoha ninja; this has been proven beyond doubt. The Shimura Clan's interest is deeply tied to him. We are merely bringing them in for questioning, yet you stand in our way. What is your true intention?" 

Kuragami's voice rang out, ensuring the surrounding villagers could hear.

Itachi felt uneasy under the gazes of the crowds.

"Perform your duty properly!" Kuragami interrupted him sharply. "If this is truly Hokage-sama's order, I will leave immediately."

Itachi looked around at the crowd, their necks craning for gossip. Could he say this was truly Hokage's will?

The events at the village gate yesterday had spread overnight to every corner of Konoha.

"Clan head…" 

Under the weight of the public's stares, Itachi lowered his head.

Kuragami, unimpeded, led his team past him.

Inside the Shimura Clan's estate, the current clan head, Hiroshi Shimura, stood at the entrance with a group of clan members, blocking their path.

"I'm sorry, but the Shimura Clan is not receiving visitors at the moment." Hiroshi, dressed in a black kimono, said coldly.

"It seems we came at an inconvenient time." 

Kuragami nodded. "It looks like the Shimura Clan is holding a funeral?"

"You Uchihas have the audacity to show up here!" 

A young, furious Shimura Clan member suddenly lunged at Kuragami. The Konoha Military Police Force members behind Kuragami were about to act, but Kuragami raised a hand to stop them.

The enraged Shimura clan member was quickly restrained by his fellow clansmen.

"My apologies. The younger members of my clan lack discipline." Hiroshi said softly while looking at Kuragami.

"I understand." 

Kuragami chuckled. "However, I am not here as a guest today."

His smile faded as he spoke again: "Shimura Clan head, I need you to hand over Retsudo Shimura, Arashi Shimura, and Yusuke Shimura to us. They are needed for questioning."

The Konoha Military Police Force members, already suppressing their anger, stepped forward. 

The Shimura Clan members also readied themselves for conflict.

"This is not proper protocol." 

Hiroshi muttered.

"It's just questioning." 

Kuragami replied. "The financial records recovered from the root's base show deep ties between the Shimura Clan and root. Personally, I believe in your innocence, clan head Hiroshi." As he spoke, he retrieved a partially burned ledger from a sealing scroll.

"Clan head, what more is there to say? The Uchiha are treacherous wolves! Elder Danzo was killed by them; we must avenge him!" 

The restrained Shimura Clan member shouted.

"So the Shimura Clan truly colluded with Danzo and now intends to betray the village?"

Kuragami's expression turned icy, and his Sharingan turned into Mangekyō form.

Hiroshi wanted to say something, but when he saw the swirling Mangekyō in Kuragami's eyes, he swallowed his anger. He had personally witnessed the legendary battle between Hashirama Senju and Madara Uchiha. He knew the terrifying power of the Mangekyō Sharingan. 

If Kuragami unleashed his full strength inside the Shimura clan territory, the consequences would be catastrophic; not a single clan member would escape unscathed.

Moreover, Kuragami had come wielding the banner of justice. If a fight broke out, the Shimura Clan would be unable to clear their name.

"Enough! I will allow them to go with you." Hiroshi said while suppressing his fury.

"Wouldn't it be over if you cooperated so early?" Kuragami smirked and waved his hand for his team to take the suspects.

"Clan head!" 

The younger Shimura members were outraged. They were used to wielding power in the village and could not accept this humiliation.

"Do not make things difficult for me." 

Kuragami whispered in Hiroshi's ear.

Hiroshi clenched his jaw but ultimately held back, motioning for his people to stand down.

The arrests did not take long. The individuals Kuragami named were present, and once they were handcuffed, Enyu Uchiha reported back.

"Clan head, thank you for your cooperation." 

Kuragami said, now more relaxed. "However, I must advise you that holding a funeral for a traitor at a time like this is rather inappropriate, don't you think so?"
