My Pokemon Turned into Girls?!

Chapter 28: Chapter 28: Ash: I’ll Win

Psychic energy—heavy as a mountain—weighed down on Aron. The immense force caused fine, dark lines to appear, pressing downward around the edges of her silver armor.

Despite her small frame, she stood resolutely unmoving. Her vivid blue eyes locked onto Alakazam, who nodded slightly in response to her resolve, raising a second finger.

Twice the pressure.

The steel shell of her body began to tremble slightly. For Aron, this was still within the range she could endure, though her four iron legs started to sink slightly into the ground.

The psychic energy intensified further—three times, five times, ten times!

Gritting her teeth, Aron's iron legs were now halfway buried into the ground, and her body shook violently. From within her armored shell came the grating sound of metal under stress. She looked as though she could collapse at any moment, yet she stubbornly held her ground.

Alakazam's eyes glowed green, and in the next instant, Aron was yanked off the ground by the immense force and sent flying. She smashed into the wall, creating a deep crater.

"Sha… Sha…"

Alakazam observed her crawling out of the wall's indentation and commented calmly, "To have progressed this much in such a short time… not bad. You can almost endure sixty percent of my psychic strength."

This psychic weight training was something Aron had requested herself. The purpose was as plain as day. As Sabrina's Pokémon, Alakazam shouldn't have been helping an opponent, but Kazuki's arrival had caused their mistress to become more and more… human.

Feeling indebted to him for that, Alakazam didn't mind lending a small favor.

To be honest, Aron's talent was terrifying. At this rate of improvement, a few more months of training and she might pose a threat to even Alakazam. However, there was an issue with her temperament—Kazuki… could he truly keep her in check?

Aron, however, seemed completely indifferent to Alakazam's observations. She shook off the dust and debris from her body, her gaze wandering elsewhere as if in a daydream.

Irritated by this attitude, Alakazam was about to say more when a sudden, blood-curdling scream pierced the air.

The sound came from the next room… Wait, was that Kazuki?!

Unable to stay calm, Alakazam's composure cracked—after all, she was counting on Kazuki to help her mistress heal. She turned her gaze toward Aron, only to see her already glowing with white light and charging headfirst through the wall with Iron Head.

Her speed was so fast that even Alakazam, with her supercomputer-like brain, couldn't react in time.

"Sha…" Alakazam had half a mind to mention that she could just teleport them there, but… oh well. The wall was already broken. She could just fix it later with her psychic powers.

---

Rushing through the smoking debris of the broken wall, Aron frantically scanned the room. She quickly spotted Kazuki sitting on the bed, holding a round stone in his hands, looking utterly bewildered at the sight of her entrance.

The room, aside from the gaping hole Aron had just created, showed no signs of battle or destruction. Calmly walking over to the boy, she gave him a suspicious look.

"Koko?"

"Me? I'm fine… Why?" Kazuki replied, confused.

Hearing his response, Aron's expression instantly turned cold. Leaping up, she headbutted him hard in the ribs.

You're fine, and you screamed for nothing, you idiot?!?!

Watching Kazuki roll around on the bed clutching his waist in pain, Aron's eyes held no sympathy. Meanwhile, Alakazam, who had followed through the hole, wore a slightly awkward expression.

For the sake of her mistress's future… happiness, should she intervene?

---

"Koko… Koko?"

So, you're saying… that blood-curdling scream from earlier was because of this dumb rock?

Aron peered skeptically at the dull gray stone in Kazuki's hands. Strangely enough, the rock did give her a sense of familiarity. Had she seen it somewhere before?

"Next time, can you at least let me explain before freaking out?" Kazuki complained, hastily adding, "Alright, alright, it's my fault!" under her glare.

"Doesn't this stone seem familiar to you? It's the Mega Stone we received from Champion Steven the other day."

And indeed, it did resemble the stone that had once held a unique allure to her. However, this one was now dull and lacked the DNA-like spiral that had been sealed within.

Aron tilted her head, glancing at Kazuki curiously. His face fell into a deep frown.

"If I knew what happened, I wouldn't be so frustrated! All I know is, it's lost its Mega Evolution power and is now just a weird-looking rock… Ahhhhhh, my Aggronite! Do you know how much that thing is worth?!"

As Kazuki clutched his head in anguish, Aron gave him an exasperated look. So, after all that drama, his main concern was just the money?

Rolling her eyes, she dragged the Mega Stone toward herself. Opening her mouth, she prepared to chomp down on it. Seeing this, Kazuki grabbed her in alarm.

"What are you doing?!"

"Koko, koko."

What else? Her expression clearly said, This thing's useless now, so I might as well eat it.

"Okay, but—" Before Kazuki could finish, Aron had already crunched down on the stone, the loud sound of her chewing echoing through the room.

Kazuki's eyebrow twitched. He wondered if he was the first trainer in history to feed a Mega Stone to his Pokémon—what a ridiculously extravagant way to raise her.

In a matter of seconds, Aron finished the entire Mega Stone, let out a satisfied burp, and wiped her mouth with her paw.

However, she soon felt strange—as if her body were too full, like she'd just eaten an entire bridge. Though it didn't hinder her movement, the sensation was certainly uncomfortable.

At that moment, Alakazam, who had been standing quietly in the corner, noticed something and walked toward Kazuki.

"There's a new challenger," Alakazam announced, her telepathy echoing in his mind.

"Another poor soul… Fine, let's go check it out."

Kazuki had spent enough days at the Saffron Gym to witness countless challengers. He always gave subtle warnings to discourage them from proceeding.

Unfortunately, good advice rarely persuaded the reckless. Most ignored him and paid the price—ending up as dolls in Sabrina's "playroom" for a few days.

"Let's hope this one has better sense…" Kazuki murmured, grabbing Alakazam's outstretched hand. In a flash of white light, they disappeared.

---

After seeing who the challenger was, Kazuki immediately dropped any hope of talking them out of it. His face froze in a blank expression as he turned to look at the eccentric, nervous guide in a face mask.

"Kazuki… Why are you—?"

"Kazuki!"

The familiar voice of a single-minded boy rang out. A young trainer with a red cap poked his head out, grinning brightly at him.

"Ha! Looks like I've caught up to you!" Ash declared triumphantly. "Guess what? Before coming here, I snagged the badge from Vermilion City. That makes three badges for me now!"

Nodding half-heartedly at Ash's boasting, Kazuki's gaze shifted past him to the two figures standing behind—waving at him. Well, well… weren't they familiar faces.

One was Brock, the Pewter City Gym Leader with his signature tanned skin and perpetually squinting eyes. The other was Misty, the fourth and youngest sister of Cerulean City's gym leader trio, who was as flat-chested as ever.

"And why are you two tagging along with this guy?" Kazuki asked, unimpressed. "Misty, fine, but Brock, don't you have a gym to manage?"

"Long story short," Brock said, scratching the back of his head with a sheepish laugh. "My dad's managing the Pewter Gym now." The strict and composed leader Kazuki remembered was gone, replaced by a more laid-back Brock who seemed freer without the gym's responsibilities.

"And you, Kazuki? Why are you here? Challenging the Saffron Gym too?" Misty asked curiously. Given his reputation as an exceptional trainer, it wasn't surprising for her to assume so.

"Well… more or less." Kazuki shrugged. "But that's not the point. If you're here for a badge, you'd better find another gym to challenge."

"What? After we've come all this way?!" protested Ash, grabbing Kazuki's shoulders in a panic.

"Calm down," Kazuki said. "I wouldn't say that unless I had a good reason…"

Though he knew Ash's stubbornness would likely lead him straight into danger, Kazuki couldn't outright say, 'Sabrina's crazy strong, and she turns losers into dolls.' So, with their friendship in mind, he opted for a white lie.

"Actually, the gym leader here is seriously ill and won't recover anytime soon, so she's not accepting challenges. You're collecting badges for the Indigo League, right? Don't waste your time here—head to another gym."

Ash looked torn, swayed by Kazuki's serious tone. But then he hesitated. "But… the guide said—"

"Cough! Ahaha, well, uh, I must've been focusing so hard on practicing psychic powers that I forgot about the gym leader's illness! Silly me! Sorry about that!" The face-mask guide quickly jumped in, nervously wiping the sweat from his brow.

Like hell I'd cross Kazuki, not with his close ties to the gym leader! If I don't cooperate, I'd be kicked out in no time!

"I see…" Ash looked disappointed but couldn't argue further. He wasn't heartless enough to insist on challenging a gym leader bedridden with illness.

Relieved, Kazuki sighed internally. At least his old friend was spared.

But just as he relaxed, a chillingly familiar voice broke the moment:

"Kazuki, who are they?"

Stiffly turning around, Kazuki saw Sabrina floating in midair. Her crimson eyes stared levelly at him as the little girl in her arms reached out with a mischievous smile.

"Kazuki, come play with Sabrina~"

I'm so screwed.

Before Kazuki could speak, Ash darted in front of him, locking eyes with Sabrina.

"You must be the Saffron Gym Leader, Sabrina! You look fine to me, so accept my challenge—Ash, from Pallet Town!"

"Illness?" Sabrina tilted her head, puzzled. However, she didn't press further and simply teleported everyone to the gym's battle arena.

For many, it was their first time experiencing teleportation, and they landed on the ground with unsteady thuds. Amid groans, Kazuki extended a hand and helped Ash up.

There was no turning back now. Meeting his friend's eyes with uncharacteristic seriousness, he asked, "Ash, can you win?"

Though unsure why Kazuki would ask such a question at this moment, Ash's confident grin returned. With unwavering determination, he declared:

"I will win."
