Chapter 240: Rage!
"Hmm?" Drayken's eyes narrowed as he took in the miserable condition of the people around him. They were bound in chains, their bodies covered in frost, but not dead. That was the most eerie part. The cold never killed them.
Instead, after a certain period, the chains would flare to life, burning red-hot and searing into their skin, melting the ice only to let it freeze again. It was a cycle of pain, freezing agony followed by scorching torment.
The air was filled with the harrowing sound of countless wails. A scene that could chill anyone.
But Drayken didn't linger. His gaze fixed on the icy palace in the distance, and without hesitation, he shot forward.
Suddenly, his heart skipped a beat. A terrible premonition surged through him, quickening his breath.
His pace surged.
He entered the palace in a blur and what he saw inside froze him.
Lucy was wearing ragged clothes and was bound to chains, and there were two individuals here who were mockingly looking at her.
One of them was a brown-haired man, and the other one was a woman with a similar appearance to Lucy, with long brown hair tied into two braids.
"Hehehe, sister, we had missed you for a long time. Where have you gone?" the woman similar to Lucy said.
"Yeah, hehe," The brother said, a lecherous grin on his face as he surveyed Lucy's body. "If you didn't run away, I would have kept you as a pet when I became the king, but unfortunately, you left us too easily."
Lucy didn't say anything. As she opened her mouth to try to scream, her body writhed on the ground from the constant torment she was facing, and her body was soaked in cold sweat.
She felt the difficulty to even breathe.
'No, no.' She wanted to scream out loud, however, there was very little she could do. It was as if something was blocking her sound pipes.
The man walked up to her with a blush on his face.
"Make it quick, brother. If we don't get out soon, Father will know about it."
"Hehe, don't worry. I already informed Father about it, and he said yes, I can taste this bitch before others could." Saying this, the man yanked Lucy's hair, and his saliva drooled from his mouth.
Lucy despaired seeing this. Her pupils dilated, and tears dropped from her eyes. She wanted to scream, to cry out loud; however, she didn't seem to be able to muster any words.
As the two's laughter, filled with mockery, rang in her ears, the man was slowly about to drop his pants.
'Die.' Drayken's conscious voice echoed softly. It didn't matter because they wouldn't hear it; however, their fates were already sealed.
Bzt!
The sound of electricity buzzed through the air, and immediately two screams echoed.
Ahhh—
Then, two bodies fell to the ground with a thud simultaneously.
Lucy was stunned. Her pupils darted around, but there was no one, which confused her:
'How did this happen? Did they die because of karma? For some reason, I think of that guy as I am seeing this.'
Her heart was filled with strangeness that she couldn't properly comprehend.
Drayken looked at the unconscious bodies. He hadn't killed them yet; however, he had decided on a fate much worse than death for them, one in which they will beg for mercy, and he will end their suffering.
He silently returned after that, going back to Grey.
When Grey's memories flashed with all that Drayken's consciousness saw, his face became cold and expressionless. There was boundless anger shimmering in his eyes.
"This kingdom will cease to exist," Grey spoke in a deep voice.
Even though his tone was low, it seemed to ring in everyone's ears.
Then Grey looked at the two old men and spoke one simple word:
"Die."
The sky grew cloudy, and thunder struck the two old men before they could even have a chance to react, utterly obliterating them into oblivion.
"You dare…" the king roared from inside the palace.
"Yes, I fucking dare. I shall eradicate each and every single one of you till a river of blood forms." Grey wiped the blood seeping from the corner of his mouth, and terrifying thunder erupted in the skies. Then it struck the barrier, instantly crushing it.
Immediately, he found himself surrounded by the five Grandmasters.
Grey's eyes were cold, cold like an iceberg, as he pointed with his palm and mumbled:
"All of you must die."
Bang!
Another terrifying lightning erupted from the skies and landed on the beings surrounding him.
It was quick and so fast that the Grandmasters were completely unable to react in time, hurrying away to defend themselves; however, it was too late for some.
A flash of light erupted and struck them before a terrifying booming sound echoed. Love this story? Show support at MV2LEMPYR.
Two of the Grandmasters fell to the ground, their bodies turning into ashes, while the other three were extremely injured.
Ahhh—
Grey screamed as blood erupted from his nostrils, his eyes oozing with blood.
His tendons and muscles had been burnt badly, and he was in a terrifying state that was very hard to describe in words.
"Shit," he cursed in his heart as his vision was already growing droopy, and it wouldn't take long for him to fall to the ground.
Lilith supported him with her huge body while worriedly calling out:
"Are you alright?"
"Yea… yeah," Grey shuttered as he walked and then landed on the ground.
As soon as he landed, there were already soldiers covering in front of him, and amidst these soldiers was one fat king wearing a golden tiara.
"So you are that person," the king said with a deep voice.
"Yeah," Grey spoke with nonchalance, his eyes deep as he looked at the king. "So you are that scumbag that does these things to his one daughter. You are a terrible father and will be remembered as the king who set his own nation on a path of destruction."
"You dare," the king growled, fury tinged in his voice.
