Chapter 1: Kamikawa Naoki

At 11:50 PM, in the Kamikawa family home located on the outskirts of Tokyo, Naoki sat leaning against his bed with his phone in hand.

The room's lights were off, with only the glow from the phone screen illuminating his face. Earphones were plugged into his ears to block out the strange noises made by his parents, who were busy trying to give him a little brother or sister.

"Sigh... Even after 20 years of marriage, my parents' sex life is as intense as newlyweds. Well, considering my mom's youthful appearance, it's no wonder my dad can't resist."

Removing the earphone from his left ear, he could still hear the commotion coming from his parents' room. Not wanting to eavesdrop, he put the earphone back in and continued playing his game.

His name was Kamikawa Naoki, a third-year high school student. Unlike most third-year students who were busy studying for university entrance exams, Naoki had a different reason for staying up late tonight.

"Almost there..." He muttered with anticipation in his voice.

Occasionally, he would glance at the clock on his phone, waiting for midnight because the next day, April 1st, was his birthday.

Of course, Naoki wasn't being childish by looking forward to his birthday. He was anticipating something far more crucial.

Time seemed to drag when you were paying attention to it. That's what he was feeling right now.

"It's almost time."

Placing his phone on the bed, Naoki stood in front of the mirror and stared at his reflection.

His appearance was simple and unremarkable. His hair was jet black, slightly long but well-groomed, giving off a calm and unpretentious vibe. His eyes were also black, sharp yet neutral, as if hiding a depth that was hard to decipher.

Naoki's face was average—not strikingly handsome, but far from ugly. He had features that were easy to forget; if you passed him on a crowded street, no one would look twice. His appearance made him seem like an ordinary person, the type often overlooked in a crowd, though he carried a mysterious aura for those who knew him better.

"Here it comes!"

Suddenly, Naoki felt a familiar surge of power coursing through his body. A warm, tingling sensation spread from his core, reaching every nerve ending. He closed his eyes, savoring every second of the transformation.

"Mhm~... No matter how many times I experience it, the sensation is incredible."

When he opened his eyes again, the reflection in the mirror revealed something astonishing—his once black eyes had now turned a deep crimson, with three tomoe swirling within them.

No otaku would fail to recognize these legendary eyes.

Sharingan!

"Sigh... Every time I see the Sharingan, it reminds me of the Uchiha clan genocide carried out by Konoha."

His excitement faded, replaced by deep sadness and regret.

Before his reincarnation in another world, he was David Desmond, a civil servant working in a provincial government office in Indonesia. He died at the age of 24 in a car accident on his way home.

In his first reincarnation, he regained his past memories at the age of 10. He then realized he had been reincarnated into the world of Kimetsu no Yaiba.

It turned out his parents had been devoured by a demon. Before he could meet the same fate, a Demon Slayer arrived to save him. This wasn't just any Demon Slayer, but one of the Hashira—the Thunder Hashira, Kuwajima Jigoro!

Jigoro adopted the baby and named him Kuwajima Shintaro.

After regaining his memories, Shintaro understood how dangerous it was to be powerless. Demons could appear at any moment and slaughter him. So, he asked his grandfather, Jigoro, to train him in combat.

After all, he didn't have any golden fingers or cheats like the protagonists in the novels he had read.

Being weak wasn't a sin, but failing to recognize one's own weakness was a mistake.

Jigoro not only agreed but also dedicated himself to teaching Shintaro the Thunder Breathing technique.

Perhaps because he was a Reincarnator, or due to the innate talent of the body itself, Shintaro mastered Thunder Breathing perfectly in just two months of training.

This left Jigoro both amazed and doubtful of his own teaching abilities. After all, Thunder Breathing was the second most difficult Breathing Style after Sun Breathing. It wasn't uncommon for the position of Thunder Hashira to remain vacant for long periods.

Nevertheless, Jigoro didn't immediately allow Shintaro to join the Demon Slayer Corps but instead had him consolidate his strength for a full year.

At the age of 11, Shintaro participated in the Final Selection on Mount Fujikasane. Of course, he passed without any issues.

He officially replaced his grandfather as the Thunder Hashira after killing Lower Moon Three, just eight months after becoming a Demon Slayer.

A year later, he met Tanjiro, Inosuke, and Zenitsu. Seeing the three of them, Shintaro knew the plot had begun.

Relying on his past memories, he once tried to alter the fate of the Flower Hashira, Kocho Kanae. Unfortunately, he failed.

The trajectory of fate wasn't easy to change, even if he knew it.

Shintaro could only go with the flow, unable to alter crucial destinies. In the end, he survived until the decisive battle at the Infinite Castle. Thanks to Tanjiro, who had awakened the Demon Slayer Mark, he and the other Hashira were able to fight the Upper Moons and kill them, though they themselves were severely injured in the process.

Shintaro himself fought Upper Moon One, Kokushibo, alongside the Stone Hashira: Himejima Gyomei, the Mist Hashira: Tokito Muichiro, and the Wind Hashira: Shinazugawa Sanemi.

After a fierce battle and suffering severe injuries, Shintaro and the three other Hashira managed to kill Kokushibo.

In the end, everything followed the plot. The Demon King, Kibutsuji Muzan, was defeated by Tanjiro and disintegrated under the morning sun.

In that tragic battle, out of the nine Hashira, only the Thunder Hashira, Water Hashira, and Wind Hashira survived.

However, Shintaro, Sanemi, and Giyuu did not live long.

The side effects of the Demon Slayer Mark caused them to die before the age of 25.

After Shintaro's death, he regained his past memories at the age of 10. In his second reincarnation, he was reborn into the world of Naruto, and his name was Uchiha Hoshiharu.

Back to the present.

"Let's try Thunder Breathing."

Naoki began by taking a deep breath, filling his lungs with as much oxygen as possible. His breathing became steady, following a pattern he had memorized by heart. As the air flowed in, his body was filled with boiling energy. His muscles tightened, and his physical strength increased dramatically.

In just a few seconds, he had entered Total Concentration Breathing.

"I'm starting to get used to it," he said with a faint smile.

In truth, Naoki didn't just know Thunder Breathing; he had also mastered various other basic Breathing Styles, including Sun Breathing, the origin of all Breathing Styles and the most powerful one.

Tanjiro was a generous man; he didn't mind sharing the Hinokami Kagura (Sun Breathing) when Shintaro (now Naoki) asked for it.

However, Naoki had a special sentiment for Thunder Breathing. It was the first Breathing Style that set him on the path of power in his first reincarnation. Thunder Breathing was his foundation, and to him, it was more than just a technique—it was a precious memory.

"Grandpa..." Naoki felt a wave of melancholy.
