Leyton followed Mr. Kosith through the cemetery for several laps, discovering many traces left by what seemed to be the claws of large animals.

"Is this monster infected with the werewolf virus sharpening its claws? Why does it have to scratch at everything, whether it's a tree or a stone?" Leyton complained speechlessly.

Mainly because there were too many claw marks found in this circle, so many that it seemed like the other party was deliberately leaving traces everywhere.

"These marks were not left at the same time, but were scratched out over a day or two," Mr. Kosith said after carefully examining each scratch.

"You can tell that too?" Leyton asked in surprise.

"Yes, it's a Keeper's ability. You'll be able to do it after you advance," Mr. Kosith nodded in response.

"How long does it take for the werewolf virus to take effect on a target? During this period, will the body uncontrollably mutate in the direction of a monster?" Leyton asked curiously, staring at the claw marks on a tombstone.

Mr. Kosith pondered for a moment before saying, "I'm not sure, but werewolves do need to let the target be invaded by toxins for a period of time to control them."

"Is it possible that the marks here were left by the guy who was infected with the werewolf toxin? He was only infected with the toxin at the time, and the werewolf didn't directly control him, so he left these marks while struggling," Leyton offered his own guess.

"That's possible. If so, then he's likely still nearby," Mr. Kosith thought for a moment and agreed that the possibility was high.

Leyton stood on a protruding stone, looking around. The surroundings were densely packed with tombstones and trees. Although there were many things, it wouldn't be easy to hide an adult-sized monster.

"It doesn't look like it can hide a monster. What are the characteristics of a monster infected with the werewolf virus?" Leyton asked.

"Their lives are often very short," Mr. Kosith didn't know much information either.

"What about the cemetery keeper here? If there really is a monster here, he should be the most dangerous, right?" Leyton asked.

"The cemetery keeper has been missing for several days," Mr. Kosith shook his head and said.

"Turned into a monster infected with the werewolf virus?" Leyton said with a sudden thought.

"Perhaps," Mr. Kosith couldn't give any useful information either.

Speaking of the cemetery keeper, Leyton suggested checking the place where the cemetery keeper lived, perhaps there would be unexpected gains.

The cemetery keeper's residence was on the side of the road at the entrance of the cemetery, just a simple single-room house painted white. They had passed by there when they entered the cemetery before, but they hadn't gone in to observe carefully.

The cemetery keeper's room was a bit messy. The pillow and quilt on the bed were dragged to the ground, as if he had left in a hurry, without having time to tidy up, and he hadn't closed the door either.

Leyton stood at the door and secretly used the Eyes of Mystery Prying to examine the environment inside the house, but didn't find anything unusual. Perhaps it had been several days, and the original anomalies had dissipated.

Mr. Kosith walked into the house and carefully searched and examined every corner of the room, and then restored the arrangement of the house to its original state.

"The other party left in a hurry, as if stimulated by something," Mr. Kosith finally concluded.

"Perhaps he was infected with the werewolf toxin, or perhaps he discovered suspicious people breaking into the cemetery?" Leyton continued Mr. Kosith's words.

"It shouldn't be because he discovered someone breaking in. That wouldn't make a cemetery keeper panic like this," Mr. Kosith said thoughtfully.

Leyton didn't interrupt Mr. Kosith's thoughts, but walked out on his own, found a place with a better view, and surveyed the entire cemetery.

"Werewolves should be more accustomed to the night, right? Then, wouldn't the werewolf's infectee also have this habit? If he is still in this cemetery, then the only place that can just satisfy some habits and hide himself is..." Leyton said.

"Inside the tomb," Mr. Kosith now took over Leyton's words.

"Are we going to look at the tombs one by one?" Leyton asked.

"Unless we have a spell that can be used to find people," Mr. Kosith said noncommittally.

In the end, Leyton and Mr. Kosith could only start checking the situation from the entrance of the cemetery, one tomb at a time, and continued until noon, but found nothing.

"So tired, this guy is too good at hiding, right? Or did we guess wrong?" Leyton began to doubt his previous deduction.

"We've only explored half of it, maybe it's not here," Mr. Kosith said while checking the situation around the tombstone.

"Where's your rabbit? Why isn't it by your side?" Mr. Kosith noticed that Bugs Bunny had left Leyton's side at some point.

"It felt too hot and ran to rest in the shade of a tree on the side," Leyton shrugged and said.

Bugs Bunny found a patch of grass under the shade of a tree not far away and lay down. Before he lay down for a while, he felt a chill in his butt. Not wanting to move, Bugs Bunny rolled over on the grass, and as a result, he fell into a pit.

"Wahhh wah—" Leyton heard his rabbit suddenly scream, turned his head, but didn't see the rabbit that was originally in the shade of the tree.

Falling into the pit, Bugs Bunny grabbed the ground beneath him with all four feet, so he didn't roll all the way to the bottom along the slope.

Just as Bugs Bunny stabilized himself, he felt a wave of malice envelop him. Bugs Bunny turned his head and looked deeper into the pit, where there was a pair of ghostly green glowing eyes staring at Bugs Bunny.

A chill of horror rose from the rabbit's legs to the rabbit's ears. Bugs Bunny felt that his rabbit courage was about to be shattered. In an instant, he regained his animal instincts, frantically digging the ground with four legs, and running out of the pit.

"Wahhh Wahhh— Wahhh wah! Help! Boss!" He screamed loudly while running out frantically.

Leyton hadn't started looking after he noticed that Bugs Bunny screamed and disappeared, when Bugs Bunny's heart-wrenching scream came over.

Leyton took out the pistol from the gun bag on his waist with one hand, while approaching the shade of the tree where Bugs Bunny was lying before.

Bugs Bunny quickly pounced out of a pile of grass after the scream sounded, and then ran quickly towards Leyton.

There was also a black shadow behind Bugs Bunny that pounced out fiercely. The other party had tufts of gray short hair on his body, long nails, eyes turned ghostly green, arms abnormally swollen, and legs were a bit bent. It looked like an incomplete werewolf.

"Bang! Bang!" Leyton fired two shots at the monster behind Bugs Bunny.

The effect of the bullets on its body was not good. It just used the kinetic energy of the bullet itself to pause the opponent's movements for a moment, without causing actual damage.

"Boss! Help, there's a monster!" Bugs Bunny jumped directly onto Leyton's shoulder and shrank his head.

The movement here had already attracted Mr. Kosith's attention. After Leyton fired two shots, Mr. Kosith also continued to shoot.

Mr. Kosith's marksmanship was obviously much better than Leyton's. Every bullet steadily hit the head of the monster infected with the werewolf virus.

The bullets hit the face of the monster infected with the werewolf virus, directly causing the skin on the face to split open. The already hideous face became even more hideous.

Leyton retreated while carrying Bugs Bunny on his shoulder, while replacing the bullets in the gun with bullets with a purification effect.

This monster seemed to inherit some of the werewolf's self-healing ability. Don't look at Mr. Kosith firing bullets and splitting the skin on the opponent's face, but they were not fatal wounds. Instead, they stimulated the monster's hatred.

The monster abandoned Leyton and Bugs Bunny, who were closer, and ran in a "Z" shape at an extremely fast speed, rushing towards Mr. Kosith.

Mr. Kosith didn't retreat because the monster rushed towards him, but instead fired bullets even harder. At the moment when the monster got close, Mr. Kosith shot out the monster's left eye.

At the same time, Mr. Kosith distorted his body at an extremely fast speed, stretched his leg and swept horizontally towards the monster, and then remembered the reaction force to change the position of his body. Then another shot hit the monster's right eye.

The monster's body, which had pounced over, was directly knocked to the side by Mr. Kosith's combo. The monster struggled painfully on the ground.

Leyton, who had replaced the purification bullets, also approached and fired two shots directly at the monster infected with the werewolf virus.

"Bang! Bang!" The bullets with purification effect left a bright golden trajectory in the air, and then penetrated the monster's chest.

A "sizzling" sound rang from the monster's body, and wisps of black smoke came out of the wound hit by the purification bullet.

The monster's struggle intensified for a moment, and then became weak.

For safety's sake, Leyton fired another shot at the monster's forehead. The monster's weak struggle paused for a moment, and then there was no more movement.

All three purification bullets carried with him were used up, but the monster infected with the werewolf virus was also resolved.
