Chapter 348: Ch 348 : Visitor from Another World

After understanding what had happened, Makoto no longer felt any urgency.

However, the souls gathered from all over the world continued to converge at the Reincarnation Shrine, unable to be transferred away.

As a result, they were accumulating in increasing numbers.

Fortunately, since they were just souls, they posed no direct threat to the living world.

Makoto then traveled to the Moon, where he discovered that the spatial rift was directly linked to the Giant Tenseigan.

As he had suspected, the issue stemmed from this.

He had crossed space-time multiple times before—venturing into parallel worlds, traveling across different timelines.

After some effort, he severed the Giant Tenseigan's connection to Earth.

As a result, the massive space rift spanning across space began to slowly close.

Afterward, Makoto went to see the giant Hollow.

"Your Majesty." Hakumen had been waiting there for him the entire time.

The Hollow had only been subdued, not destroyed.

Its massive body was bound with numerous sealing techniques placed by the ninja.

This gave Makoto an idea.

Whether it was the Shinigami or the Hollows, it seemed that upon arriving in this world, their power had been assimilated into its system.

Makoto waved his hand and sliced off a portion of the Hollow's arm.

To his surprise, there was no blood, nor did it dissolve into spirit particles.

After a brief moment of contemplation, he said, "Dismember it and send the parts to Kabuto. Let him analyze what this thing is made of."

"Understood." Hakumen immediately responded and began organizing the ninja to carry out the task.

As Makoto stepped out of the mining area, his gaze drifted toward the Giant Tenseigan in the distance.

Suddenly, he spoke, "Looks like we'll need to build more Solarity Towers."

There were already quite a few Solarity Towers throughout the empire.

In every major city, at least one had been constructed, each overseen by members of the Hyuga Clan.

Moreover, the capitals of the Five Grand Provinces housed branches of the Ninja Guild.

However, the empire's citizens didn't just live in cities—there were also those in towns, villages, and remote settlements.

If Hollows like this were to appear in the future, there needed to be something in place to uphold the empire's security.

"Your Majesty, has something happened?" Hakumen asked from the side.

"The world… is about to change."

All of a sudden, a thought crossed Makoto's mind.

"Hakumen, what do you think of that Hollow's combat power?"

Hakumen was slightly taken aback.

"The Hollow?"

"You mean… that black monster?"

Shin nodded. "Can a Jonin handle it?"

Hakumen replied, "Yes. The creature is just large and tough-skinned, but its combat style is very simple. However, it can fire a special energy beam—it doesn't seem to be chakra, but it's incredibly powerful. Ordinary ninja wouldn't be able to withstand a direct hit."

Makoto considered this carefully.

Since Hollows had crossed into this world alongside the Shinigami, the ninja across the empire no longer needed to worry about a lack of missions.

If these creatures were to start appearing in the living world, he could simply assign ninja to exterminate them.

Of course, it wouldn't be entirely left to them—he would issue bounty commissions, but the empire's government would take the lead.

It also depended on the Shinigami's stance and how they intended to handle the situation.

Makoto had previously thought that this world lacked goblins for ninja to fight—yet now, something similar had arrived.

This was good news for the Ninja Guild.

The number of Solarity Towers needed to be increased, covering as much of the human-inhabited regions as possible.

With these future matters on his mind, Makoto returned to Konoha with Hakumen.

"In the coming days, we may have some new visitors. They will arrive at the Reincarnation Shrine. Make sure you and your men greet them properly—don't let them feel disrespected."

Sensing the weight of the situation, Hakumen straightened and bowed solemnly. "Understood!"

After a night of relentless rain, the skies finally cleared.

As the sun rose, an urgent report arrived.

Makoto entered the front hall, where emergency messages from all major provinces had gathered.

Each report detailed the sudden appearance of black monsters across various regions.

From the descriptions, not all of them were Menos Grande—many were weaker Hollows.

This was better than Makoto had expected.

It wasn't just the Soul Society that had been transported here—there was a strong possibility that Hueco Mundo had also arrived.

With the world now in this state and the Sage of Six Paths nowhere to be seen, Makoto speculated that the entire Pure Land had been replaced—swapped out for the Soul Society.

Hollows themselves are also a form of soul, capable of being killed or purified.

When purified, a Hollow can re-enter the cycle of reincarnation.

The Shinigami are the ones responsible for purifying these evil souls.

In the original Bleach story, the Quincy were considered a threat to the world's balance because they could completely destroy Hollows, preventing their reincarnation.

This led to a war between the Shinigami and the Quincy.

This was something Makoto had to consider carefully.

If a ninja kills a Hollow, it could have the same effect as the Quincy's extermination.

If Makoto were to order ninja to slaughter Hollows freely, it could provoke hostility from the Shinigami.

Though the Shinigami were the original inhabitants of their world, starting a war with them would not be ideal.

Moreover, Makoto wanted the Soul Society to completely replace the Pure Land, maintaining order and stability in this world.

Cooperation would be beneficial for both sides, rather than an act of concession.

A Emergency Imperial Meeting

Without hesitation, Makoto convened an emergency meeting in the imperial palace.

The Grand Council Hall was rarely used, so when the ninja officials entered one by one, they immediately realized that something major had occurred.

Makoto distributed copies of reports detailing the Hollow outbreaks across various provinces.

Upon reading them, the ninja all displayed expressions of shock.

The Ninja World had seen giant creatures before, but they were extremely rare.

Moreover, most of these large creatures were intelligent—many even formed contracts with ninja, becoming their summon beasts.

But an organized invasion of man-eating monsters on such a massive scale had never happened before.

Makoto began explaining the nature of Hollows—though they were evil from a human perspective, their existence was a crucial part of the cycle of reincarnation.

They could not simply be killed—they needed to be purified to ascend.

For many, this was hard to believe, and someone couldn't help but ask why such creatures had never appeared before.

Makoto had already prepared an explanation for this question.

Of course, he couldn't directly reveal that the Hollows had crossed over along with the Shinigami—that would only make people believe that the Shinigami had brought the Hollows, which could stir resentment against them.

Instead, Makoto rewrote the story about the Sage of Six Paths, saying that a sudden change in the world had caused the emergence of Hollows.

He further explained that the Sage of Six Paths had entrusted the Empire with the duty of protecting humanity.

..............

Beneath the Solarity Tower, within the Reincarnation Shrine—

"This place is so dark… where are we?"

Inside the grand hall, a group of people who had suddenly appeared on the Reincarnation Shrine glanced around at their surroundings.

Someone couldn't help but speak up.

"Shut up, Renji!" A female voice immediately followed.

The man leading the group lowered his gaze, looking down in thought.

"This seems to be some kind of ritualistic formation… but it's already inactive."

The man wore a bamboo hat, a white haori draped over his shoulders, and a black kimono underneath.

His face, partially hidden beneath the hat, revealed the features of a middle-aged man with a beard.

The other six also examined the ground beneath them.

As the hat-wearing man had said, they were standing on a circular platform.

"There sure are a lot of souls gathered here," the middle-aged man murmured to himself.

"Captain Kyoraku, they possess the ability to guide spirits," Rukia spoke up.

"It seems like this world is truly something extraordinary… I wonder how its ruler will treat us," said another middle-aged man, wearing glasses and exuding a gentle demeanor, though he, like Kyoraku, was also draped in a white haori.

"We'll find out soon enough," added the last haori-clad figure—a man with a refined but cold expression, a Kenseikan hairpiece adorning his head, and a silver-white scarf around his neck.

Just by appearance alone, he looked wealthier than the rest.

The remaining four individuals were all dressed in black kimonos, each with a sword at their waist—without exception.

At that moment, the grand hall's massive doors slowly creaked open, the sound heavy and resonant.

A blinding white light poured in instantly, casting their figures into an illuminated silhouette.

Someone stood at the entrance, but with the light behind them, their figure appeared hazy in the eyes of those inside.

Kyoraku narrowed his eyes slightly and was the first to step forward.

The others followed suit.

Outside the Reincarnation Shrine, a neatly aligned group of individuals stood waiting.

At the forefront was a handsome young man in white robes.

What startled Kyoraku and his companions most was that this man's irises were pure white.

Beside him stood a masked, silver-haired man.

"Welcome to Konoha," the young man in white spoke.

"I am Hyuga Hakumen, and this is Hatake Kakashi. We have been assigned to welcome our esteemed guests from the Soul Society."

They stood atop a cliff above the Hokage Rock, looking into the distance.

What they saw was a vast and flourishing city, even grander than the Soul Society itself—filled with towering buildings and an orderly layout.

But what truly made their expressions shift…

Was the colossal, godlike mecha standing beyond the city's borders, its peak vanishing into the sky!
