"Please instruct us, my lord!" they replied in unison.

Baishi nodded and continued, "Your village has a meteorite. I want you to retrieve it for me within a week."

Without any hesitation, the five of them responded in unison again, "Understood, my lord!"

Satisfied with their response, Baishi waved them off. "Good. Discuss your plans. I'll be leaving now."

Without waiting for a reply, he activated the Flying Thunder God Technique and disappeared.

Baishi reappeared in another area of the valley where the poisonous mist was relatively thicker.

Within minutes, they landed before him. Summer clutched a small object wrapped in cloth, her face pale beneath her mask.

"Mission accomplished, my lord," she said, kneeling as she handed over the package.

Baishi unwrapped it carefully, revealing a glowing purple meteorite. A faint warmth emanated from its surface, accompanied by a subtle prickling sensation against his skin.

"Interesting..." Baishi murmured, holding the meteorite up to inspect it.

The meteorite emitted a faint, otherworldly light, pulsing like a heartbeat. Its radiation was palpable, even to someone with Baishi's resilience.

"Perfect," he said, a rare smile crossing his face.

However, Summer interrupted his thoughts.

"My lord, there are pursuers behind us," she said weakly.

Baishi's gaze shifted to the horizon. Sure enough, a group of figures was approaching rapidly. Leading them was an elderly man wearing a conical hat with the kanji for "Star" emblazoned on it.

"The so-called Star Shadow..." Baishi chuckled.

Despite his amusement, he recognized the situation could escalate if left unchecked. He quickly stored both Summer and Firefly in his space ring, ensuring their safety.

Turning back to the meteorite, Baishi studied it for a moment longer before activating the Flying Thunder God Technique, vanishing from the canyon entirely.

Back in the relative safety of a secluded hideout, Baishi finally allowed himself to relax.

Holding the meteorite, he marveled at its potential.

"Now to see what secrets you hold," he said, settling into his research.

As for the remnants of Hoshigakure's forces...

Baishi smirked. "They'll have far bigger problems soon enough."

For now, his focus was on the meteorite and the limitless possibilities it offered.
